Oh, one fun thing to remember, Pyrrha wasn't just top of her class, she was part of the professional tournament circuit and won her first championship at either 12 or 13 years old (Depending on when the tournament takes place) since Weiss said she won the Mistral Regional Tournament 4 years running and started the show at 17 years old. Fighting people was her profession before she even went to Huntsmen Academy, assumedly against adults much older than her, and she's a celebrity for it, like most super popular athletes, she had product placements and endorsement deals.
I think the tournament is reserved for the various combat schools in Mystral. So no they do not include Haven students or adults. Obviously that still is quite a feat seeing as even one year can make quite the difference in early teen years and she would have had to face students three years older.
Since the cereal box she was on was reserved for top athletes (and cartoon characters), she was essentially on the (not very good for you) Wheaties box!

In the Yellow Trailer, you can see Torchwick and Junior finishing that deal as Yang walks up. It's a neat little thing. Easy to miss, until a rewatch. There's a lot of interconnected details in this show.
Fun fact about the voice actors: Ruby’s VA and Sun’s VA are married! I like to think they’ve gone to parties together and complained about Stupid Lady Stilts (heels) and Dumb Neck Traps (ties) in real life
You are honestly quickly becoming one of my face RWBY reactors. You pay attention to the details and I mean REALLY pay attention. And you actually look into the backstories and stuff. Yes and no, so I post RWBY every other day because I want to make this an interactive experience for everyone who's with me. So, like, I post and let everyone comment, get their chance to share their thoughts, and I try to engage where I can, then the next day, I watch the next batch of RWBY episodes. In terms of scheduling, I try to get everything up by 3-6 pm. EST. But I normally record the same day because I don't want to have you guys tell me something amazing or really cool, and I don't get to go into the next part, not knowing it. You're actually completely correct about wondering why Blake wouldn't know Yang's Semblance. Originally, Sun and Neptune were meant to be part of the fight, and Ruby was going to explain the semblance to Sun. But time and/or budget constraints led to Sun and Neptune not being there, but they still needed a way to let the viewers know Yang's Semblance and went with this solution, even though Blake should logically already know it.

Knowing what your teammates can do is vital for teamwork. Especially in a world where everyone has theyr very own personal supernatural power. It would be foolish to think they never discussed theyr semblences before.

Otherwise Yang is plenty powerful enough not to need it. And if She don't mention it, I don't see Ruby doing so, either. And she wouldn't. @@hansolav5924yeah but semblance’s are one of the most important parts of their teamwork, Weiss’s glyphs are integral parts of all of her team attacks so she must’ve given them the rundown and it would be natural for the rest to do so as well. It makes sense for them to not know what each other’s favorite flavor of ice cream is but not their semblance. You’re really downplaying how important semblance’s are in combat in this universe. To make an analogy, it’d be like a squad of soldiers not knowing what each others specialty is, no one knows who’s the comms officer or who’s the one with the SAW. Hard for the team to strategize when they don’t understand what the Machine gunner is supposed to do.

RWBY explains Yang's semblance to Blake, because it was originally supposed to be said to Sun and/or Neptune, but they ran out of budget/time to include them in that part of the fight. Ah I mean the two of them wandered off to get ramen.
The way Penny first describes herself as the world's first synthetic person and then says "I'm not real" followed up by that "One day it'll be my job to save the world but I still have a lot left to learn" always leaves me wonder who it was that made Penny feel as if her existence wasn't valid when its so clear within seconds to us and Ruby that Penny is 100% a person and an extremely lovable one at that (not her dad since it's clear Penny adores him but yeah. It's worrying). Also to further the A:TLA vibes Penny probably isn't as old as she appears since, you know, robot and all so its kinda messed up (in a similar sort of way as Aang, a child, being responsible for stopping a war) that people have been telling Penny it's specifically her job to save the world even though there's dozens of huntsmen and huntresses already out there and doing stuff like that... Oh and they got to choose to get into the business whereas Penny probably has to be a 'return on investment' or something... =( *frown of deep concern for adorable green bean* RWBY shipping be a vast sea of madness let me tell you. People kinda got hooked on making fun names for every ship and well, nowerdays you will find ship names for EVERY possible RWBY character combination you can think of, even for groups of characters (case in point one of my fav ships is the Sun/Blake/Yang OT3 called 'Sunnybees')~ XD As for which ones are actually shipped and not just 'having joke fanwork because the name was funny', you are correct Ruby/Penny is a big one (it's called Nuts And Dolts) and yeah... There are Roman/Ruby 'Rosewick' shippers out there too. All the team attack names called out by Ruby are or were shipnames of those two characters btw (though Iceflower and Checkmate have since been overtaken by WhiteRose and Monochrome in terms of ship name popularity); CRWBY gave a nice nod to the fans by using them in show that way~
I just want to add this as a slight correction. That pause before he says Sunday, I think it's actually intentional. I want to say the song is similar to ... I think it was a Ween song. It has a similar pacing and includes that pregnant pause before delivering the final obvious word. So I think Juane was just doing it as a stylistic choice. Granted, I could be completely wrong, and I see so many people that say Juane forgot what day it was, but ever since the first time I heard it, I connected it to that song and thought it intentional.

Yeah, Nuts and Dolts is a pretty popular ship, White Rose is still more popular I think, but my own favourite is Milk and Cereal (Ruby and Pyrrha), I mean they're both prodigies in their own right, Ruby is literally only below her in skill level out of the 2 teams, and never forget that she's 2 years younger than them, even being on par with the others would mark her a prodigy, with Milk and Cereal a champion finds a connection with a young prodigy thrust into a world that she wasn’t truly ready for, and together they brave it and all the dangers it throws at them, I just think it works.
I can't list my favorite ships for this show yet without major spoilers for future volumes so I'll wait a while to list them. There are so many ships to keep track of that there is an excel spreadsheet floating around out there with them all charted out for basically every character in the series. Alright so I'm gonna go on a Jaune defense. Jaune is not a player, he's not into Weiss because shes famous, he see's her for who she is and he's committed to pursuing her, he's not the type to pursue multiple girls at one time. So he is completely blind to Pyrrha. Sure it's aggravating looking in from our point of view but it is an admirable trait none the less.

One of my favourite things about Jaune is that he doesn’t start training and then instantly becomes a badass in a week even though everyone else is training for years. It takes time for him to get better, even with his large aura reserves.
Oh yes, there are ships for pretty much *every possible combination of characters,* probably because _RWBY_ is one of the only fandoms where shippers can get inventive with the ship names instead of just making portmanteaux of the character names. (One of my favorites, based solely on the name, is Jaune x Ruby: "Lancaster".) Sadly, however, Ruby x Roman is one of the rare exceptions, as it _is_ just a portmanteau: Rosewick. I want to watch you experience the emotions that are coming in the not so distant future. It is going to be amazing. The idea with the grim masks and the white fang is that humanity saw them as monsters and treated them as such so they don the mask of grims in a sort of statement of becoming the monsters those people fear
The noodle shop that Sun and Neptune are at, called "A simple Wok", is a reference to a Rooster Teeth show called "A Simple Walk into Mordor". Neptune's voice actor (Kerry Shawcross) and fellow RT employee Chris Demarais walked across New Zealand, touring the filming locations from "The lord of the Rings" trilogy.
Monty Oum was known as the Bruce Lee of combat animation (especially fights done using 3D animation.) One of his signature skills was the ability to have multiple people fighting and multiple objects moving on the screen simultaneously, especially around whatever was the center focus fight at that moment. He showcased this with Red vs Blue, Dead Fantasy and here in RWBY with the fights in the first 3 volumes before he passed away
Yeah Monty was an insane genius when it comes to fight choreography. Emphasis on insane. I still remember how I discovered RWBY. I watched some random video on TH-cam and the guy talked about RWBY for like twenty seconds. But he said the name Monty Oum. Me remembering the name from Dead Fantasy and his less known project Haloid got really hyped, watched the trailers and the first two episodes and I was just in. When finally episode eight aired... damn it was so hype to see a brand new Monty fight choreo.
Yang's sembelence lets her take the energy form being hit and convert it into engergy back so she can hit back twice as hard. Thing is she has to be able to survive the hit in the first place, which is why she trains so hard to take damage better.
I'm not sure how to explain the bit about 'donning the faces of monsters' but it's kinda like when you're a kid and a teacher has already decided you're a trouble maker without you actually doing anything to warrant it. So eventually you just start acting up because if you're gonna get punished anyway you might as well deserve it right? It's about saying "fine, if you want me to be a monster then I'll show you a monster".
There's lots of real creative ship names. Nuts and Dolts (Penny and Ruby (Since Weiss calls her a Dolt, a play on "Nuts and Bolts")) is a fav of mine because Ruby is very into weapons and machinery instead of people, as well as robots, remember how she stared in amazement at Atlas' newest robot soldiers.
There are probably 6 or 7 ships connected to the shop keep, so yes. Every character in this show has a ship....btw....there are a good number of Avatar references in this show

Since you ask (and since I'm so ABSOLUTELY sure that NO ONE else will have commented on it that I DON'T need to check), yes, ships are a big thing in FNDM. Ruby/Penny is Nuts and Dolts. Ruby/Roman is Rosewick. Other commonly discussed ships (no spoilers about whether they become cannon) are Arkos (Jaune/Pyrrha), White Rose (Ruby/Weiss), Bumblebee (Blake/Yang), Rennora (Ren/Nora), Blacksun (Blake/Sun), Ironwitch (James/Glynda), White Knight (Weiss/Jaune), and others with characters you haven't met yet.
Depending on your schedule, I recommend watching episodes 9 and 10 together. There are conversations in them that really belong in the same episode, but I think due to the episode lengths they were split up. Not critical, you pay enough attention to things that it will probably be fine either way, but for general purposes I think 9 and 10 work better in the same viewing.

Also, it's easy to forget all those cars that *both sides* of this battle are wrecking have innocent families in them. Lol Another thing to consider is the episodes are little slices, and days, weeks, or longer can be between episodes. Referring to Blake as docile isn't so much a faunus comment, but contributing to the theme that Blake is withdrawing from her normal behavior, including her participation in sparring class.
It's true, and thankfully atypical for RWBY; I can't think of another scene in this show where the protagonists have been so indifferent to civilian casualties. That particular fight kind of exists in its own bubble of coolness, within the story but not touching it. ( If we took it seriously we'd have to ask inconvenient questions like "how many videos of the carnage and the girls leaping around were recorded by onlookers" and "are Huntsmen immune from lawsuits" and so on. So we don't.)
I don't think all Faunus can see in the dark, but I can be wrong. When Glynda said Blake was docile, she meant, she was almost asleep in classes, I'm not sure at this point she knows Blake is a cat Faunus unless Ozpin told her. Phyrra is an amazing fighter, but also she has a big advantage because of her semblance, most people fight with metal weapons she can control. There is a line Mercury said, "You can take her now problem" - you remember that for later on :) What ships: Nowadays I reading some Cinder fanfiction, Fallen Petal Ruby x Cinder :D (Not sure that would be healthy at first :D) Maybe some ships, where the characters aren't here yet for.

Neo, is Neopolitan is an interesting character. She is based off Neopolitan icecream (note the color scheme) she is kind of a fan creation. Monty saw a "gender-bent torchwich" after Season 1 of RWBY similar to her and made Neo. Her Semblance is Illusions (they shatter).

But because of an technically error of some kind when making the fight they didn't have time to add them into the fight scenes. I think it was something like the original file for the fight got corrupted and the had to redo everything after they fell of the bridge? Pyrrha is good, but it was Weis and those that only look at commercials that believe she is the strongest. Ruby and Yang literally are from the woods, so nobody knows them or how to gauge them in regards to the others. Team RWBY was easily the strongest team in regards to combat ability of their year. Pyrrha is basically a tournament fighter. On the other hand Weis has one of the most broken semblances in the world and private tutors, Blake has actual combat experience from her terrorist days and Ruby and Yang were basically trained by Ozpin's special forces.
Aura is the manifestation of the soul, so her having an Aura means she’s more than just a Robot. How that happened isn’t yet explained, but unlike weapons she isn’t just an extension of her maker, she’s also an independent being. Also the ship is ‘nuts and dolts’
Fun Fact: RT originally had Sarah Silverman slated to voice Neo, but the plans for that fell through due to conflicting scheduling. So, they decided to make Neo mute instead. Also, the highway scenery is a reused asset from Red vs. Blue, compliments of Monty's expertise.

There were some robots on the train, but not the brand-new Paladin mechs - if Adam had brought those to the White Fang, they wouldn't need to be dealing with a human criminal to get them. And Torchwick said HE had them "thanks to my employer", so presumably Cinder and/or Em and Mercury and friends have been doing a little heisting of their own.
So the name that Ruby shouts in the mech fight aren't specific attacks but the ship names that the community came up with (hence why there isn't a Ruby and Yang one). I t was a nice nod to the community to let us know we are part of this show.
Remember when I said Ozpin and Roman were part of my top 3 characters in Volume 2? Penny's the other one. During most of volumes 2 and 3, the order was probably Ozpin, Penny and Roman. Though Penny was third place until this scene here (Which is why I commented on the last video saying Roman was probably my top 2 at the time)
When you're done with Volume 3 you should totally react to RWBY Chibi. It's basically just a bunch of little skits and it's generally good for a few laughs.

As for Neptune... I personally like his goofiness since it gives away he's genuine if still a complete trashfire? The fandom leans towards disliking him mostly though he does have a few hardcore fans~ XD I suspect why Weiss likes him though is that he just comes off as someone too dumb to have much of an ulterior motive beyond 'whoa hot girl' (he asked her name when flirting with her initially indicating he didn't know who she was), understands the value of reading and has looks she seems to like... Oh and he's from Haven Academy so any dating they have will probably be limited to this year unless they *really* hit it off and she can use that as an easy excuse to break things off early too, so he probably comes off as a 'safer' dating option than anyone in Beacon who she'd possibly have to be around for a full 4 years or so. ...Weiss always seems to expects the worst of everyone so picking who she's willing to flirt with based off how easily she can breakup with them just seems like a very Wiess thing to do honestly...😢 Yes it's because she's a cat XD Shows you how damn tired she is that she fell for it though. And... I know Yang is mostly just doing it just to get her attention since Blake's so hyperfocused just going up and asking her to talk for a bit probably wouldn't work but like, that little moment might be the most outwardly 'racist against Faunus' moment from our heroes in the entire show, next to the 'doing sh%t all as one is getting bullied only a few feet away' bit in v1~ XD Poor Ren just wants his clothes..! Oblivious Jaune strikes again~ X'D ...Though, kinda says interesting things about Ren and Nora's dynamic that someone who has been literally living in the same room as them for the last however long its been (a few months at least) thinks they're dating. Oh and said person is also the most oblivious person on the planet so IDK. It's just kind of fun to imagine what's going on there~ XD Pyrrha gives the best advise and is very noble, yes but like Nora's got a point. If she'd told Jaune of her feelings up on the roof training the previous night he probably would've done a full 180 in like 5 seconds (er that is once he got over the sheer shock and actually processed that PYRRHA, goddess in mortal form that she is, could possibly like him) but well. If there's one flaw Pyrrha has it's that she's too good, kind, etc and isn't really good at standing up for what she wants...

The White Fang is to the Faunus what the Black Panthers were to African Americans. The Faunus are an allegory for any minority group that you could think of. A group that has to fight against a hierarchical hegemony, against a system that has been oppressing them for the majority of their shared history. They tried to achieve change through civil difference, but have since begun using violence, achieving better short term results but hurting the cause in the long run.

I think you're too hard on poor Miss Goodwich. None of the teachers other than Ozpin knows about Blake being a faunus and I didn't even notice the possible implication until you pointed it out to me. For example, Yang's laser pointer prank in the library was far more offensive and the fact that Blake fell for it only makes things worse.

Yes and no, so I post RWBY every other day because I want to make this an interactive experience for everyone who's with me. So, like, I post and let everyone comment, get their chance to share their thoughts, and I try to engage where I can, then the next day, I watch the next batch of RWBY episodes.
In terms of scheduling, I try to get everything up by 3-6 pm. EST. But I normally record the same day because I don't want to have you guys tell me something amazing or really cool, and I don't get to go into the next part, not knowing it. If I ever have like scheduled videos for the next couple of days, I'll let everyone know!

You're actually completely correct about wondering why Blake wouldn't know Yang's Semblance. Originally, Sun and Neptune were meant to be part of the fight, and Ruby was going to explain the semblance to Sun. But time and/or budget constraints led to Sun and Neptune not being there, but they still needed a way to let the viewers know Yang's Semblance and went with this solution, even though Blake should logically already know it.
Only if she'd previously seen Yang take hits like that. which is supremely unlikely.

Knowing what your teammates can do is vital for teamwork. Especially in a world where everyone has theyr very own personal supernatural power. It would be foolish to think they never discussed theyr semblences before.

Otherwise Yang is plenty powerful enough not to need it. And if She don't mention it, I don't see Ruby doing so, either. And she wouldn't. @@hansolav5924yeah but semblance’s are one of the most important parts of their teamwork, Weiss’s glyphs are integral parts of all of her team attacks so she must’ve given them the rundown and it would be natural for the rest to do so as well. It makes sense for them to not know what each other’s favorite flavor of ice cream is but not their semblance. You’re really downplaying how important semblance’s are in combat in this universe. To make an analogy, it’d be like a squad of soldiers not knowing what each others specialty is, no one knows who’s the comms officer or who’s the one with the SAW. Hard for the team to strategize when they don’t understand what the Machine gunner is supposed to do.

The way Penny first describes herself as the world's first synthetic person and then says "I'm not real" followed up by that "One day it'll be my job to save the world but I still have a lot left to learn" always leaves me wonder who it was that made Penny feel as if her existence wasn't valid when its so clear within seconds to us and Ruby that Penny is 100% a person and an extremely lovable one at that (not her dad since it's clear Penny adores him but yeah. It's worrying). Also to further the A:TLA vibes Penny probably isn't as old as she appears since, you know, robot and all so its kinda messed up (in a similar sort of way as Aang, a child, being responsible for stopping a war) that people have been telling Penny it's specifically her job to save the world even though there's dozens of huntsmen and huntresses already out there and doing stuff like that... Oh and they got to choose to get into the business whereas Penny probably has to be a 'return on investment' or something... =( *frown of deep concern for adorable green bean*

People kinda got hooked on making fun names for every ship and well, nowerdays you will find ship names for EVERY possible RWBY character combination you can think of, even for groups of characters (case in point one of my fav ships is the Sun/Blake/Yang OT3 called 'Sunnybees')~ XD
As for which ones are actually shipped and not just 'having joke fanwork because the name was funny', you are correct Ruby/Penny is a big one (it's called Nuts And Dolts) and yeah... There are Roman/Ruby 'Rosewick' shippers out there too.
All the team attack names called out by Ruby are or were shipnames of those two characters btw (though Iceflower and Checkmate have since been overtaken by WhiteRose and Monochrome in terms of ship name popularity); CRWBY gave a nice nod to the fans by using them in show that way~
I just want to add this as a slight correction. That pause before he says Sunday, I think it's actually intentional. I want to say the song is similar to ... I think it was a Ween song. It has a similar pacing and includes that pregnant pause before delivering the final obvious word. So I think Juane was just doing it as a stylistic choice.
Granted, I could be completely wrong, and I see so many people that say Juane forgot what day it was, but ever since the first time I heard it, I connected it to that song and thought it intentional.

Yeah, Nuts and Dolts is a pretty popular ship, White Rose is still more popular I think, but my own favourite is Milk and Cereal (Ruby and Pyrrha), I mean they're both prodigies in their own right, Ruby is literally only below her in skill level out of the 2 teams, and never forget that she's 2 years younger than them, even being on par with the others would mark her a prodigy, with Milk and Cereal a champion finds a connection with a young prodigy thrust into a world that she wasn’t truly ready for, and together they brave it and all the dangers it throws at them, I just think it works.

Alright so I'm gonna go on a Jaune defense. Jaune is not a player, he's not into Weiss because shes famous, he see's her for who she is and he's committed to pursuing her, he's not the type to pursue multiple girls at one time. So he is completely blind to Pyrrha. Sure it's aggravating looking in from our point of view but it is an admirable trait none the less.
You know I've never considered that before. That he's so dedicated to pursuing one girl that he's put out all other potential girls as the one, and that's why he couldn't see Pyrrha's obvious signs. Thank you for sharing ouo)/

One of my favourite things about Jaune is that he doesn’t start training and then instantly becomes a badass in a week even though everyone else is training for years. It takes time for him to get better, even with his large aura reserves.
Oh yes, there are ships for pretty much *every possible combination of characters,* probably because _RWBY_ is one of the only fandoms where shippers can get inventive with the ship names instead of just making portmanteaux of the character names. (One of my favorites, based solely on the name, is Jaune x Ruby: "Lancaster".) Sadly, however, Ruby x Roman is one of the rare exceptions, as it _is_ just a portmanteau: Rosewick.

Early in the Pyrrha vs CRDL fight you asked if Pyrrha used her semblance. Many character's semblance's have unique audio ques, Pyrrha's has a low hum.
There are things you have said this video that give me a wicked sense of absolute glee. There are things that are coming, and I want to watch how they affect you. I want to watch you experience the emotions that are coming in the not so distant future. It is going to be amazing. I know it's not going to be very long, especially considering how long we've had to wait for things in the FNDM. But like... I want to see it. I want to see the chaos unfold.
The idea with the grim masks and the white fang is that humanity saw them as monsters and treated them as such so they don the mask of grims in a sort of statement of becoming the monsters those people fear

Monty Oum was known as the Bruce Lee of combat animation (especially fights done using 3D animation.) One of his signature skills was the ability to have multiple people fighting and multiple objects moving on the screen simultaneously, especially around whatever was the center focus fight at that moment. He showcased this with Red vs Blue, Dead Fantasy and here in RWBY with the fights in the first 3 volumes before he passed away
Yeah Monty was an insane genius when it comes to fight choreography. Emphasis on insane. I still remember how I discovered RWBY. I watched some random video on TH-cam and the guy talked about RWBY for like twenty seconds. But he said the name Monty Oum. Me remembering the name from Dead Fantasy and his less known project Haloid got really hyped, watched the trailers and the first two episodes and I was just in. When finally episode eight aired... damn it was so hype to see a brand new Monty fight choreo.
Yang was actually looking for her mom in the Yellow trailer. That's who she asked Junior about.
Yang's sembelence lets her take the energy form being hit and convert it into engergy back so she can hit back twice as hard. Thing is she has to be able to survive the hit in the first place, which is why she trains so hard to take damage better.

I'm not sure how to explain the bit about 'donning the faces of monsters' but it's kinda like when you're a kid and a teacher has already decided you're a trouble maker without you actually doing anything to warrant it. There's lots of real creative ship names. Nuts and Dolts (Penny and Ruby (Since Weiss calls her a Dolt, a play on "Nuts and Bolts")) is a fav of mine because Ruby is very into weapons and machinery instead of people, as well as robots, remember how she stared in amazement at Atlas' newest robot soldiers.
The Mech Fight on the highway was actually a reconstruction of the highway battle in a scene from Red vs Blue.

Since you ask (and since I'm so ABSOLUTELY sure that NO ONE else will have commented on it that I DON'T need to check), yes, ships are a big thing in FNDM. Ruby/Penny is Nuts and Dolts. Ruby/Roman is Rosewick. Other commonly discussed ships (no spoilers about whether they become cannon) are Arkos (Jaune/Pyrrha), White Rose (Ruby/Weiss), Bumblebee (Blake/Yang), Rennora (Ren/Nora), Blacksun (Blake/Sun), Ironwitch (James/Glynda), White Knight (Weiss/Jaune), and others with characters you haven't met yet.
Depending on your schedule, I recommend watching episodes 9 and 10 together. There are conversations in them that really belong in the same episode, but I think due to the episode lengths they were split up. Not critical, you pay enough attention to things that it will probably be fine either way, but for general purposes I think 9 and 10 work better in the same viewing.

Another thing to consider is the episodes are little slices, and days, weeks, or longer can be between episodes. Referring to Blake as docile isn't so much a faunus comment, but contributing to the theme that Blake is withdrawing from her normal behavior, including her participation in sparring class.
It's true, and thankfully atypical for RWBY; I can't think of another scene in this show where the protagonists have been so indifferent to civilian casualties. That particular fight kind of exists in its own bubble of coolness, within the story but not touching it. ( If we took it seriously we'd have to ask inconvenient questions like "how many videos of the carnage and the girls leaping around were recorded by onlookers" and "are Huntsmen immune from lawsuits" and so on. So we don't.)
I don't think all Faunus can see in the dark, but I can be wrong. When Glynda said Blake was docile, she meant, she was almost asleep in classes, I'm not sure at this point she knows Blake is a cat Faunus unless Ozpin told her. Phyrra is an amazing fighter, but also she has a big advantage because of her semblance, most people fight with metal weapons she can control. There is a line Mercury said, "You can take her now problem" - you remember that for later on :)
What ships: Nowadays I reading some Cinder fanfiction, Fallen Petal Ruby x Cinder :D (Not sure that would be healthy at first :D) Maybe some ships, where the characters aren't here yet for.

Neo, is Neopolitan is an interesting character. She is based off Neopolitan icecream (note the color scheme) she is kind of a fan creation. Monty saw a "gender-bent torchwich" after Season 1 of RWBY similar to her and made Neo. Her Semblance is Illusions (they shatter).

But because of an technically error of some kind when making the fight they didn't have time to add them into the fight scenes. I think it was something like the original file for the fight got corrupted and the had to redo everything after they fell of the bridge? Pyrrha is good, but it was Weis and those that only look at commercials that believe she is the strongest.
Ruby and Yang literally are from the woods, so nobody knows them or how to gauge them in regards to the others.
Team RWBY was easily the strongest team in regards to combat ability of their year.
Pyrrha is basically a tournament fighter.
On the other hand Weis has one of the most broken semblances in the world and private tutors, Blake has actual combat experience from her terrorist days and Ruby and Yang were basically trained by Ozpin's special forces.
Aura is the manifestation of the soul, so her having an Aura means she’s more than just a Robot. How that happened isn’t yet explained, but unlike weapons she isn’t just an extension of her maker, she’s also an independent being. Also the ship is ‘nuts and dolts’

There were some robots on the train, but not the brand-new Paladin mechs - if Adam had brought those to the White Fang, they wouldn't need to be dealing with a human criminal to get them. And Torchwick said HE had them "thanks to my employer", so presumably Cinder and/or Em and Mercury and friends have been doing a little heisting of their own.
Episode 4 is a great example of why Yang is my favorite character in RWBY!

So the name that Ruby shouts in the mech fight aren't specific attacks but the ship names that the community came up with (hence why there isn't a Ruby and Yang one). I t was a nice nod to the community to let us know we are part of this show.

I suspect why Weiss likes him though is that he just comes off as someone too dumb to have much of an ulterior motive beyond 'whoa hot girl' (he asked her name when flirting with her initially indicating he didn't know who she was), understands the value of reading and has looks she seems to like... Oh and he's from Haven Academy so any dating they have will probably be limited to this year unless they *really* hit it off and she can use that as an easy excuse to break things off early too, so he probably comes off as a 'safer' dating option than anyone in Beacon who she'd possibly have to be around for a full 4 years or so.

Pyrrha gives the best advise and is very noble, yes but like Nora's got a point. If she'd told Jaune of her feelings up on the roof training the previous night he probably would've done a full 180 in like 5 seconds (er that is once he got over the sheer shock and actually processed that PYRRHA, goddess in mortal form that she is, could possibly like him) but well. I think you're too hard on poor Miss Goodwich. None of the teachers other than Ozpin knows about Blake being a faunus and I didn't even notice the possible implication until you pointed it out to me. For example, Yang's laser pointer prank in the library was far more offensive and the fact that Blake fell for it only makes things worse.
