Fantastic video, you crushed it! Anna's laugh is amazing, what fun you must have had making this. It was a great race, I think Anna came flying past me, the bike was brutal, roll on next year, hope your racing again!
I'd spent so much time watching videos with Heather in while training for Xterra, my very first Triathlon. So imagine my excitement when I saw her there. Its ok, i didn't go up and embarrass myself...

@@gtn It went really well. Only did the sprint, but still, it felt like a big achievement. I've been told it was a tough first Tri, but I'm ok on a MTB, so it was fine. Lots of fun overtaking people on the bike and run after being almost last out of the water. Huge thanks to @gtn for all the training videos. They really helped
Such a fun video, and congrats ladies, incredible effort!!! 😂 this weekend there was an XTerra race that I wanted to do but I can’t, I had a gravel triathlon two weeks ago and then a crazy fast trail race last weekend from which I’m still not 100% recovered. But next year I’m doing it, I’m already marking it in the calendar.
This is sick! Makes me want to do another triathlon. I tried it for a year and then have gotten really in to cycling and I haven’t done any triathlon training for a while, but the off-road tri is very tempting!
It was my 1st Tri of the season and did the "normal" standard distance last year and thought the MTB element would be fun.... 1st person i saw as i got out the car was Alister Brownlee, nearly lost my head there and then! Then saw Heather so and that ramped up the anxiety!! It was hard work!!! The "soup" for a starter and then that relentless buke course 🥵🥵 and my niavity of the day was complete when on the run there were ropes to climb up the quarry/gloopy area!!! All fun and games! Great content and overall impression of the day!
@gtn I'm a diesel in the swim and the ride was to technical to get my rythym going....run was strong mind!! 💪🏻💪🏻Other than that, shocking, mid pack. No quali! Ended up following Heather's previous challenge and doing Blenheim WW last week, 5 x Sprint and 1x SS in a shorter than normal week end. Still waiting in results but might have done well there. Then Roth in 2.5 wks 🫠🫠
@gtn plenty, can always do more 👀!! My wife hasnt filed for divorce...yet!! Although she has horses soooo she can't talk!! Just dialling in the nutrition now
Just wondering, was the mountainbike mandatory in this event? Because everyone seemed to be on a MTB, but the course didn't look like a MTB would be the fastest option...
Heather, courses for horses...why don't Strava or Garmin recognise horse riding as an activity? You have done so many bike v horse v runner type videos so how do you record your data? I assume Strava and Garmin don't think female dominated sports are relevant, but I'm a data hungry, fitness tracking bloke and it irritates me that I need to use 3rd party apps and manually upload my horse rides, but they have catagories for my road bike, TT bike, MTB, CX and wahoo bike. BTW i thought this was a cracking video, lots of fun and laughs and positive memories in the bank. More like it please!

I must admit I thought that Strava did show horse riding but maybe that is just other apps. It's not something I record tbh.
