This scene always sticks with me because of the exchange between Hailey and Lucas.... It was like a release for her. I remember crying my eyes out when he said.. "Hey Buddy, I've missed you."
this is what made me buy the song on itunes. i couldn't believe it when i found out it actually came out in 1994. damn, the 90s was a great decade for music...
This is kind of weird, but I love the way that Haley cries when she’s relieved. Like( spoilers ) when Lucas is okay, when they hear Jamie’s heartbeat, when the body found isn’t Nathan’s. It’s so fitting for her character because I really do feel like she’s often the glue that holds everyone else together, but, obviously, she has to feel things, too, and it makes sense that she’d wait until the storm passes to let everything out. I can also sort of relate 😂
Came back to find this comment, because I just watched 7.07 and her reaction of relief was so palpable. It made me think of this comment because I liked how you phrased it!
I just started watching One Tree Hill recently, my roommate has several of the seasons on DVD and I've been really liking the series so far especially the touching music scenes they have at the end of each episode. This one is definitely the best one I've seen so far and I've been told they only get better.
These kind of scenes make Dan actually likable. Having Dan kill Keith was the worst writing decision cuz it basically obliterated any chance of redemption as well as reunion with Karen and a relationship with Lucas
Not really, his redemption arc was really one of the best things about OTH & what helped me stay watching the show after Lucas and Peyton left. Paul was an amazing actor and he made me go from hating Dan to wishing Dan a peaceful afterlife.
The Dan/Karen part still gets to me. I hate that he killed Keith, but it's moments like this one that are the reason so many people can never truly hate Dan Scott.
Exactly! That would have been brilliant, because it could have been the turning point for the Dan’s character. He was complicated and Manipulative, but it was obvious he truly loved both of his sons. I wish we could have seen Lucas and Dan have some closure. Lucas hated Dan for good reasons, both the abandonment, and for killing his only father figure. But I think that Deep down Lucas also had a lot of hurt for Dan not being there for him. I think a small part of Lucas way deep down did care about Dan just like Dan cared for Lucas. Some conversations that Lucas and Dan had showed some concern for him.
this scene never gets old! i've been in that position where i thought i was going to lose my best friend after a huge fight, an then when i got to see him i just started bawling
if this scene makes you sad go watch S1 E4 where Nathan shows a video of Karen and dan in the days and Lucas starts tearing up, I legit cry every time I watch this
oh wow can't believe all the differences bitween this episode and the last one which featured this osng. Like now nathan and haley are married with a child, brooke's with julian, peyton and lucas are married with a child...that song is amazing
It's just weird that Leyton don't seem to be apart of Naley and Brooke's lives at all anymore. We never here them talk about staying in contact with them. :(
ya i gotta be honest im the biggest douchbag on the universe and sooo fake its not even funny,, but i feel like this song changed me this song form one tree hill, with that scene when lucas wakes up and got me thinking bout life and not take things for granted like girlfriends and stuff. i wana stop being a dick, but idk its really hard anyways great song ima go back now to live my fake asshole life now and hope none of my friends ever see that i wropte this.

That scene with Haley en Lucas never gets old. best one in the whole episode.
Awwwww. After all these years, Lucas grabbing Haley is still one of my favorites OTH moments ever!
Brooke looking back at Nathan at the hospital like “hi, how did we land such pure angels?” Only season 1 & already the growth !
2020. How not die of the emotion for One Tree Hill? My serie favorite ever.
The last scene with Karen is what got me to start watching One Tree Hill and I will never forget that. I miss it so much

This! It's like she lets her emotions out once everybody else is okay😢

Agreed. I hate that they had him kill Keith bc he never could be redeemed
I will say he came pretty close by rescuing nathan though. His death and Keith waiting for him is pretty close to his redemption.
@@youngdub03 Not really because the people he hurt the most by killing Keith were Karen and Lucas

I agree I hated Dan but he had his moments
Then seven seasons later they play this song again at Lydias funeral, it is such a song for Haley 🤧🤧😭
Right she was leaning on Taylor while throwing the ashes
Iconic scene, they also play the same song when Haley's mum dies in season 7.
Just watched that episode and it brought me back here
absolutely touching scene with haley and lucas, thanks for uploading!
Linda canção ❤
thank you so much .. I was looking for this part of the episode in so long ;*
I watched this episode for the first time a few days ago... evidently TH-cam wanted me to cry about it again 😭

When Nathan told Haley he went after her like that I thought oh no there done I was so worried
does haley remind anyone else of joey from Dawson's creek?
+Tad Strange Nah, Haley has WAY more chill than Joey.

Too bad this didn’t turn Dan around.
Wasn't it so screwed up that Lucas wasn't there though? :( Saaad.
Jordan and Layla are like Nathan and Haley , Spencer and Olivia are like Lucas and Peyton .
Theirs always that ONE HATER; ONE DISLIKE out of...Nevermind...Oh well! #OTH4EVER
