Thank you so much for posting this ! I just replaced my window switch and it was exactly like you described . I even had the broken plastic piece fall off on my car too! Got the part off Amazon for 27 bucks . Saved me a lot of money and only took about 30 mins start to finish . Maybe less but I wiped everything down and cleaned it up just because why not . Anywhoo . Thank you for helping the world with your videos . 2011 Hyundai .
Thanks for this video I was able to work with my son for repairing his window switch. Just a tip on the back side of switch to remove it you can go under the middle clip from the side and pry it then use a paint scrapper to hold it back. Once it’s in the back side it’s easier to remove front and two smaller clips holding switch.
You are better off taking the silver and brass colored screws out and removing the armrest so you can get to that plastic clip on the back, no reason to take a chance breaking the clips and creating more problems when armrest removal takes about 4 minutes. I figured this out after messing with the clips for 30 minutes
Hey guys. Do not remove the switch this way. First off both sides had a cloth tape that needed removed before you can pry the sides out. You can't pry the back side out that way. There are 9 phillips screws that need removed and the whole unit comes off the door. Then you can reach both sides of the switch to pry it out properly and not bust off the plastic you need to put the unit back in.
Thanks a lot this helped greatly appreciated, though it turned out to be my wiring to the door switch came loose . Didn’t have to change out switch mode.😊😮🎉
Thank you so much! We replaced the window switch but now the dome light is always on -as if the door is open even when it’s closed The connections look tight - any ideas?
@@tylerbuckner311 thank you. I ended up putting the old window switch back in and the dome light still doesn’t work with the doors- we have to turn it on/off manually. 🤷🏻♀️ so now I need to replace both… that’s tomorrow’s problem. 😂 thank you.
@@TheSharona10the little button on the side is probably the problem. It’s on the middle between the door frame and door itself . The rubber bumper probably is off or warn I had to use some duct tape and a rubber thing taped to my door to get it to press in to turn off the interior lights but eventually it stopped working all together

Don’t understand why they didn’t make it so just the switch comes out without taking the panel off. Thanks for the vid!
I love your videos for the Hyundai sonatas 2011 so helpful and specific thank you.

I think you just answered my question. Are there 10ish screws around the armrest that allow this to come out? Are they hidden?
@ it’s much easier and faster to remove the armrest, if you break the clips on the back side, it’s going to turn out bad
This worked perfectly for me thank you for the video only problem is that my lock/unlock buttons won’t work since I’ve replaced it on both sides.
Thank you for making the video.

you're the 3rd person I've seen talk about the 9-10 small phillip screws. Can you describe where they are? I dont see them

I want to carbon fiber vinyl wrap my 2014 Sonata door accents panels. Do they come apart?

I think he had another video on this exact issue, I’ve watched it before just so ya know

Excellent
Kinda crappy how you didn't show how you actually got the switch out of the door panel. But thanks for the video. I managed.
exactly my thoughts.
Thank you all. I appreciate you.
Is this the same guy that’s on talledega nights?
