Thanks 🙏 - my C5 had a funny burning smell. I used your tear down vid to clean the grinder which was completely caked with old coffee. And, looks like we’re back up and running! 🙏
Great video! Have a C5 that is making super-loud noise during brew cycle, but otherwise making coffee fine. It frequently sits unused for long stretches (months sometimes), because it is at our vacation home. Since it is brewing coffee, would you expect the problem is with the membrane regulator, rather than the pump itself? That's my conclusion from watching your video. Thanks for making and posting the video.
I have my machine apart and need to know how to remove spouts. I have tried cleaning with a pipe cleaner from the exterior and it seems to have mostly worked. However, it will flow from one side one time and another side the next time. Now I need to take it completely out to try again. I'm getting really proficient taking the machine apart and putting it back together!!!
Hi! Nice Video! Can you help me with a coffee grinder? I replaced the grinder with a new one. Third version (v3). Jura C90. And I encountered such a problem, the coffee grinder works no longer than 4-4.5 seconds (strong option) and this is not enough for good coffee. After all, the machine adjusts this time? How to reset it? A full reset in the menu did not help. I saw in other videos the C50 grinds for 7-8 seconds. Everything else works great. I cannot call an official JURA technician in my region. Can you advice me?
Leaking? There's several different things that can cause it but the most common cause of a leak when the machine is off is the gasket at the bottom of the water tank.
I have coffee leaking from the lever that raises or lowers the coffee outlet for different cup sizes. The coffee is also coming out of the 2 nozzles as normal, but is also flowing down around the little tab you use to raise and lower it. Any idea why ?
The reason you are seeing that coming out from there is because the spout is clogged with residual fine coffee powder that made it through the brew unit or a buildup of oil from oily beans etc. Basically the machine just dumps the coffee into the spout and then it's gravity fed into your cup. So when it's clogged up it overfills the innards of the spout and then leaks around it. you would have to disassemble the coffee spouts and clean them manually
The other reply on this comment is correct. I was having the same problem and used a guitar string (high E) to unclog it by lightly probing into the matching from both dispensing spouts. It’s been working perfectly ever since.
Help please Timo. My C5 was stuck with a Flashing Frothing light when turning machine on. I unplugged it, ran steam out, but it acted like it was in the descaling mode. I always go through all of the maintenance but I descaled it again which did not help, so I thought I would have nothing to lose by checking the interior. I never use oily or flavored beans and it all looked clean with a bit of dust. In your video at 14:01 you freely turn that cog but mine is stuck. Should I force it?
Hello Timo, How do you solved the error in the minute 10:30 ? In got the same problem, the machine stops the cafe brew and ask me to open the steam switch.. several times.. how can i solve this ? Thank you, and thanks for your video
I thougt that i would have to change the pump or something... but once I opened the machine, in order to see the pump model, I just clean the plastic “pipes” from the water tank to the flowmeter, and from the flowmeter to the pump ( they were brown...) and open and clean the flowmeter ( it was not so dirty...) and that worked ! It came back to life and for now it is working well... I hope this help you Good luck !
FYI this can be avoided by running filtered water through your machine or purchasing the jura filters. If you can see how brown those pipes get after some time you can imagine what the inside of your boiler looks like. Best to use filtered water always. Glad to see that you figured out what to do honestly I made this video a while back and I haven't been monitoring the comments
Hi, it is still working by now, and i hope that I don,t have to see how the boiler looks like...:) Anyway, thanks for your video, it helped me a lot in order to open and understand the machine..
Hi Timo... just have an issue with the front part/face of the coffee machine... it seems like the coffee dispensers are all clogged up... and coffee is overflowing. Any ideas on how to disassemble the front and lookup for clogged up pipes? thnx > appreciate it
I did eventually managed to fix it by myself... you will need to remove all panels... until you can undo the front one... to remove the front panel you will need to locate screws on top... and some latches on the front bottom of the machine... Slowly pull the front panel, it will be all wired since there is where the control panel is located... But from there you will be able to remove a plastic black funnel, you will see that cuz there is the plastic tube that the coffee travels through.>> Once the funnel is out... you will be able to remove the dispensers for a good inside clean/rinse... If you dont manage this... You can always try poking the dispenser holes with wire,,,, until you free them up... bests
Hi. I had the same problem. I unblocked with a bicycle pump, that avoids disassembling the machine. Unfortunately the problem reappears after a few days...
Hey I apologize but I didn't notice this comment originally. You can actually do a quick Google search for removing the coffee spouts on your jura. Juraparts.com has made some videos It's a little different machine to machine but mostly it's about the same. Some of them require pulling the entire front panel loose and then disconnecting the spouts from the inside and some of them allow you to do it right from the outside. If it's clogged you will not get it clean unless you disassemble it. Generally it comes from using oily beans. I know that 90% of America loves their oily beans but this machine is not really designed for that. The oil makes its way into the coffee which then collects in the spout and eventually causes a clog. The good news is it's not that difficult to fix really. Once you can get to it it's just a matter of taking the spout putting it under the kitchen sink running some water and maybe scrubbing it with a brush.
@@disgraou The reason it's reappearing is because all you're doing is shifting the clumped up residual coffee or oil that is in there. You're not actually removing it so eventually it works it's way down and clogs the spout again

Good to hear! happy that you were able to get it running!
Great video. So much easier to fault find when there is such an informative video.
Great video. These are $300 to $400 to have serviced here in Perth Australia
Most people charge about $350 I only charge $160. I know I'm cheap but it keeps me busy
You are the man for making this video!

wish u took apart the nozzle. mine is clogged and i cleaned it but stuff is still coming out of it. looks like crusty coffee.
How did you fix the issue you were having with your machine? Having the same issue, Thanks

If you have beans in the grinder or even just one it won't move. Use a Shop-Vac vacuum it out and then it'll move.
