Knowing that they were more powerful than the other Elemental Masters, Krux and Acronix decided to betray the Elemental Alliance. In response, their former allies forged a set of weapons that absorbed the twins' element. The twims were lost in the temporal vortex, but Krux managed to escape, and Acronix remained in the temporal vortex for four decades and didn't age during that time
