PASSION IN DANGER: NIMA DREAMS DOCUMENTARY

When you hear Nima, what comes to mind? Your guess is as good as mine. A community that has about 600,000 people, crime has muffled the incredible stories this area has told Ghanaians...Talk of Mohammed Ahmed Polo whose influence was such that almost every Ghanaian kid nicknamed himself "Polo". He was born in Nima. In fact, former GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, was known as Wa Polo among his peers. But, why has crime, instead of the production of many Polos, overshadowed the talented footballers this area has produced? My colleague, Mubarak Haruna, has been investigating and put together this feature.
