People have their views on Mako gear, but you can’t beat Dano’s prices! Plus I got a Mako suit 10 years ago in 2014 and I JUST replaced it. Never had any issues, stayed warm and intact. I finally got a giant hole in the knee but it was from a previous tear from my flopper. Great suit!
Yeah it’s amazing how warm a good open suit can be. A buddy of mine just got a mako suit and coming from renting scuba suits he was shocked. We were in 51 degree water and he never felt cold.
I’ve heard some good things but never personally tried them yet. It’s on the expensive side of wetsuits. Especially for the 7.5mm I’d need in central and northern California.

Yeah they’re sick suits and if you take care they’ll last forever!
I love my 7mm mako wetsuit, it’s very comfortable and I’ve yet to be cold even in the slightest in it. Diving in Monterey/Carmel/Mendo.

Should check out Waihana wetsuits
