    A bad MSQ + nothing to do afterwards is really concerning. This is the first time I feel like I have wasted my money on FFXIV. I really want to play the game more and hope they dramatically improve things in the future.

      they won't. patch cycles have largely been the same for 10 years. thinking they will just change out of nowhere because half the playerbase is unhappy is just copium. make your decision about your sub now instead of regretting it in the future.

    the big thing is alot of the QOL stuff is being feature as major stuff when it should be the hey this is the nice thing that happened and not taking up major dev time and moving that to other content.

      I don't think people realize how much time it takes to even develop all those QoL stuff though. Especially the graphical update. That probably took the majority of their dev time for Dawntrail. The fact that this is part 1 of the graphical update, and not the full thing, probably says all you need to know about how huge of a process it probably was, and how much resources they probably poured into it. Which, unfortunately means other content suffered from not as much dev time.

      @@KoziiMedia Pretty much and i view the Graphic/Lightning update as something Major, the small QOL things im thinking of are stuff like the trust systems (and now doing them for optional dungeons) they are nice but that something that could easily be done in down time like how ARR flying was introduced.

      @@KoziiMediayou're right. However, compounded with a lack of content it feels bad. They should have hired more people so as not to take away from regular stuff. It's been 4+ years with this longer cycle and with a majority of release being non-playable content.

      @@MekareP While i agree with you, as Zepla and MrHappy have said in their respective videos here and the reacted video, it's not always as simple as "Just hire more people!". They don't have the luxury of just hiring new people, they are part of Square Enix, and Square has to allow them to hire new people. I hope they do hire new people, as Yoshi-P has said they are going to be restructuring.

    I think Zep misunderstood what Happy was saying. He isn't necessarily suggesting the exploration zone at the start but some variation of the relic like we used to have and lead that into the exploration zone later in the expansion. Personally I'd go a step further and not just add the basic bitch version of the relic grind at the start but also add color glow variations for clearing other content with the weapon equipped to encourage people to branch out. Stuff like raid clears/pvp victories/fates, etc. Basically rip the legion artifact weapon but unlike Blizzard don't make it mandatory.

    • @cutejustice

      I also feel like they should’ve added a basic bitch version of beast tamer and then update it as the game goes. It gives other people stuff to do in the meantime instead of just sitting around doing reclears..

      Square is miking the game.
      The first relic came with the game itself, it was a grind, but a halfway interesting one and the weapon was on par with raid equipment.
      The relic weapons are destroyed in the same way as the rest of the game since years: by Square being lazy and greedy and miling the game withotu care, because they find enough idiots who eat it. (ARR and HW relic weapons even had an ongoing story in which you literally brought your weapon to life - including a soul pet outside of it that SPOKE to you, what was simply throwin in the garbage with SB and be forgotten forever, after you just sacrificed quite a lot of people to bring it to life in the first place).
      They don't even put 10% of the effort into their MMORPG as for example Blizzard does, which is constantly doing massiv reworks to keep things fresh and work on improvements.
      Square just keeps everything shit, especially the number of servers and then EXPLOITS this to blackmail people into staying subbed, or they will start to delete content you have put a lot of time in with the house and everything inside.
      Imagine Square would for example ever change the actual zones, because something catastrophic hit them. EW showed, that they don't care. Instead they just made a continent sized republic like Garlemald fall apart off screen and only let it being hit by that endtime scenario, because this way they don't have to put any work into story telling, world lore and rework. It's just "oh, the biggest and most interesting part of the world does not exist anymore by the way, lol, and of course as usual your player character does not care anyway, so you will never learn anything about it, so now pay you sub or we will delete your IG house!"

      @@miriamweller812 Square is milking the game in what way exactly?) Did subscription cost increased? Did the price of expansions increased? Did they add new mandatory ways of monetisation? Did they start selling 90$ mounts that look like piece of poop? Or maybe they added a FF14 token?
      You yourself decided to pay subscription for your house to be intact. In the game you yourself hate to even play. They didn't forced you to do it, you yourself did. So what's the point of your wall of text exactly? Cry me a flipping river, but no-one cares, because you already gave your money away and you will keep doing that, again and again.

    There definitely needs to be some kind of content that can keep me engaged in between patches . bc the weekly tomestone grind+ weekly raids and buy and upgrade your gear and then rinse and repeat is getting boring, it's quite a fixed system and I think it's time to shake things up a bit. And I agree that things take ages now to come out , I had times where i forgot what i'm waiting for in the next patch bc it took so long, it just kills the hype and interest.

      DT, if all the content is received well will end up being very middle and backloaded, which means that the community becomes satisfied and say that "the devs listened" (they did in a way but not exactly). And in 8.0-8.1 we will face the same problem as the backloaded areas means the average player won't bring up the "content issue."

    i think what FF14 needs is a lot of the type of content oldschool runescape puts out. They got the collection system which will take months/years to complete,player voting booths ingame where players vote for content they want or dont want in the game and everytime they bring out content its content for everyone(casual,raiders,gatherers,questers,skillers etc) they dont just deditcate a patch for just raiding and raiding alone

      Square is notorious for not listen. In case you are one of those who joined in years late lured in by the marketing lies: the whole "the devs cares" was a lie, just like pretty much everything else.
      Square lost a massive amount of 'old' players, because we didn't their lazy, greed shit anymore. Their reaction to that was not getting less lazy and greedy but just lying about it and luring in replacement by paying internet trolls to spread them to their viewers.
      Everyone of us players since start knew at once, that 90% of what these guys said was just utterly wrong, but with the extremels toxic fanbase on their side to defend these lies violently, the lies succeeded over the truth.
      Of course truth always remains, since lies can't survive time and so majority of those who fell for the had to realize they had been tricked and left. But Square made a good amount of money with that and will just try to repeat it if they find dumb enough people again.

    Poking the hornets nest or not, the blind loyalty is baffling at this point. Endwalker patch content was stale and boring and they continued the same way in DT. The reality is that they are not earning my sub right now. I can't find any reason to play and I have tried. It's an MMO with a monthly subscription, earn that monthly subscription by at least making sure we actually have something to do. Relic grind starts in 7.2? What a joke. It should start in 7.0.5 at the latest. If I didn't have a house in the game I would have unsubbed long ago and come back for the end of the expansion, maybe they have produced enough content to keep me busy for a month at that point. I have leveled every single job to 100 and cleared savage, and for those thinking I just have too much time on my hands... I have a full time job and a family and it's still not enough content to keep me busy. The whole "go play other games" schtick is getting old. Stop charging a monthly fee then if you can't supply the players with interesting content to consume. For those thinking I should quit, I would tbh if it wasn't for my significant others undying love for this game.

  • @paulsmith950
    @paulsmith950 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    As someone who has played since 2.0 (1.0 even), for me the game wasn't so solved. From the job and battle design throwing way stranger things regularly, the reduced impact of deleveling during roulettes (only 50 levels and jobs were just better designed from 1-50 than they are 1-100 now), and unique dungeons and the relic system - there was just plenty to get on with. The game also just demanded better play, so even a routine dungeon was spicy more often than not.
    These days everything has been boiled down to the optimal. It's a very gamer thing to do but SE don't help by copy+pasting each expansion so there's just no vibrancy left to reach for. Dungeons are literally filler at best, FATEs as you say are the same as 2.0, crafting is DoA outside of food, housing items, and the 1 week savage patch. We're left splitting the population off onto all this side content that's about the only engaging thing left.

      Honestly, I feel like if they designed EVERY job for the 1-50 aspect, and only then added on the 51-100 mechanics they would all feel so much better. But when you lose 3/4 of the buttons that unlock when you unlock the class whenever you sync down it feels bad, and the skill rotations become so basic that it does not matter what class you are playing, it boils down to "1-2-3, 1-2-3, OGCD, 1-2-3".

      I think it was his presentation, even those who were critical of FFXIV EW's cycle back then thought his criticism was pretty bad on the raiding side because honestly the mechanics got more and more complex (which in itself a separate issue) and there is more "content" per expac. Even those who agreed with him disliked his presentation and thought that some of his arguments were misrepresentative of the actual problem and that he ended up venting or ranting. He has some points but the bad arguments and point really brought down the quality of his video.
      Unfortunately, it just goes to show that you need a well constructed organized video to really get to the heart of the problem. Examples include Preach's or Mr. Happy's videos who take a more measured and professional approach to criticism, which may not what the community needs or wants.

    Zeppla, please do some research into the rise of "Japanese Solo Culture". Japan is a collective culture. Confucian influence is strong, and social judgement and participation is high. In order to "rebel" against that, a lot of people want to engage in solo activities. Restaurants and Shops allow for solo diners and even specialize in it. Internet cafes have booths that are isolated and separated from everyone else, unlike korean PC Bangs. And gamers... well a lot of gamers want to solo game. This culture is what is infecting and changing the MMO spirit in FFXIV. Another major cultural difference is that when it comes to friend circles, Japanese don't want to make friend circles meet. Introducing one set of friends that you have to a different set of friends that you have isn't common. That is why playgroups are usually tight knight discord groups and PUGs in JP servers disband very quickly without much toxicity or hard feelings. This is also why public spaces ingame are very quiet. Meanwhile NA servers have shouts all the time.
    Why do I mention this? There's an accusation that Japanese play habbits influence developer decisions more than Western play habbits and culture does.

    • @Blahblah-oo7lk
      @Blahblah-oo7lk 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I mean the entire friend list concept was created under the impressions of Japanese culture at the time. Yoshi P and numerous developers are super surprised at how fast people make friends online in Western countries and then get into drama and are willing to dump them at a moments notice. They are also surprised at how people are willing to block or blacklist as it demonstrates a public spat, which is a nono in Japanese culture, you keep your fights and arguments to yourself and not display it in public otherwise you are disrespectful, uncouth, uncultured, uncivilized, you have now bothered others with your fights and arguments which rocked the comunial boat. In Japan how to make friends is completely different and there is a certain level of trust that must be met before even sending the friend request online. Of course, not all Japanese people are like that but it is is the norm.

That's why everything is so formulaic and predicable because they helps them more easily balance things to keep to this limit of making sure everything is doable in 20 minutes. That's why it's 2 packs-boss-2packs-boss every dungeon because they KNOW that formula takes 20 minutes for the average group pf players. That's why Chaotic alliance raids is only the boss because otherwise it would surpass 20 minutes, and that just can't be allowed.

    Hey zepla, are you considering talking about this issue in your main channel video in the future? Yoshi-P seems to watch your stuff there, not sure about here.
    P.S, ARR had 3 dungeons per patch and some of them were actually pretty difficult (pharos sirius etc), fates, relic, etc. HW actually had similar issue people are bringing up now, 3.1 was so empty (diadem required you to be in fc with airship), gordias normal was braindead, and gordias savage was overkill, it damn nearly killed the game a second time because it didnt have the goodwill they've since gotten with shb msq and wow exodus.

  • @awworrell
    @awworrell 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

    One big thing to remember about Heavensward is a lot of people quit the game and unsubbed during that time. The raiding scene was nearly dead and most content wasn't great. The diadem was an exploration zone that during that expansion was removed and re-released multiple times. Crafting was broken because the scrip system was entirely random and high level crafting heavily relied on favors. Not to mention, a lot of crafting existing to support raiding but because of the trouble with raiding it too was nearly dead. Heavenwards, though remembered fondly today, was utterly terrible at the time because there was literally no content outside of relics, open world content, and roulettes. The whole "play something else" has been repeated since Arr but much of what happened since then I think is a direct response to it almost destroying the game.

      I mean, the raiding scene nearly died because Alex was legit one of the hardest savage tiers ever released (even still, after nerfs). • @airget
    @airget 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Ya, the phrase "go play something else" only works if you actually put enough content in the game for someone to feel satisfied with the results. Yet if you aren't going to do that then he's going to end up losing 4 months worth of sub fees which in itself can equate to the cost of 1 AAA title. So I don't understand how he feels he has the luxury to make such a remark when there is a lot of money to be lost with that type of mentality.
    And when you look at the predatory release schedule the content is purposely being spread out so there is a "need" to stay subbed each month if you want to do the content fresh.
    It's insulting, In November you get MSQ, dungeon, 24-man raid and then the Ultimate Raid 2 weeks later.
    Then Mid-December you get Custom Deliveries(which takes 8 weeks to complete I think if you do is each week) Same with the "Allied Society" quest, a Hildibrand quest that might just be a blink and it's over setup and then the "Chaotic" fight later December where even though the idea of a different means of getting top tier gear is put in place it feels like it's way to late into the cycle to be relevant, pretty much releasing a piece of content to help players gear up where it's about 2 1/2 months before the gear gets replaced.
    Then finally slight additional quest added in late January with a lull in February til the next content release in March.
    You look at the above and the amount of "Content" being released for a patch cycle looks pitiful and it's definitely made worse when this also means the concept of "relic" weapons won't even start til mid 7.2 Patch because you know they won't release Field exploration or the new "ishgard restoration" content at the start of 7.2. So it will be nearly 1yr from the expansion when we actually start the relic quest.
    It's just sad how lazy it comes off.

    I would love doing fates, I love world content but I cannot stand the UI, the fate model, the clunkiness, and also hunts has way too little everyday encounters that isn't just a hunt train (I think it's fine to have S rank etc for that but in general)

    My problem is how grindy the game has gotten despite none of the rewards feeling worth it.
    I actually enjoyed the relic weapon only needing tomestones because i was actually able to finish it without wanting to jump off a cliff.
    This game really tires me out because the content takes a lot of time. Its so structured in such a way that you cant really get stronger and rush through it faster for an easier grind.
    Everything that is capped or locked feels terrible. Id have been playing for so much longer grinding the normal raid gear if it wasnt locked. By the time i can get even two classes done (usually healing and aiming) theres a new patch and i dont even need the gear anymore. On top of that its still locked! Then capping the more valuable tomestones makes sense, but i can cap it within a day. Then for the rest of the week im not able to accumulate those tomestones for better gear or rewards etc etc.
    Quite frankly I agree that all content kind of feels the same. I know its hard to branch out and make fighting feel different, but its possible. Theyve done it a couple times before they can do it again.
    I dont even bother with fates because of how long it takes for such little rewards. The exp is disgustingly bad. The shared fates take WAY too many to max out in each area, and you really dont get many gemstones to begin with.
    I dont even like the exploration zones because everyone is taking all the fates before i can even get there. I spent most of my time running around begging for a party that i never get invited to. Its also not a good way to level either.
    Roulettes take 3-4+ hours and you might get lucky to get a couple levels or a couple hundred tomestones. Doing that everyday is such a slog. There really needs to be a change to the level sync system where as you get stronge ryoure able to do that content faster, but not have it to where youre doing it in less than 30 seconds or one shotting it.
    Ive played final fantasy games all my life. Trust me when I say I know what a grind is and I can appreciate a good grind and even enjoy it thoroughly. However, this game has made grinding so crap. Especially solo which is how i prefer to play the game as I cannot be bothered to constantly lose all my loot to other peoples rolls, have to rely on them to not make mistakes and vice versa, and owe them something in the event they are helping me clear content. Its just proper etiquette to help people after they help you- and while I enjoy helping people- after doing my content even for an hour im kind of just over the game. The game really stresses me out because even in casual content you constantly have to be doing one thing or another. Plus its just the same thing over and over again where you are just doing your combo time and time again. Theres not really any decision making in the game where you decide your commands and come up with good combos- it kind of just makes you do it a certain way.

    so, I am honestly depressed with the current state of FFXIV. I have been subbed continually since 2.0, and while I have taken breaks now and then, with the state of the MSQ and extra content, it just is not worth it to keep the sub live for now. The "there are other games" should be said towards the end of the expansion cycle, not the beginning. And on the subject of the "exploration zones", I feel they are actually the reason for the decline in the main line and side contents on the X.0 and x.1 releases. When the devs know that as soon as the exploration zone is released the main zone content is going to get sidelined anyway, they do not feel a need to put in as much work. Combined with the need to make every dungeon a cookie cutter hallway with a different wall paper to make the trust system work right, it leads to the "Main" content just getting boring, and rapidly. People loved to hate on CopperBell and Thousand Maws, but before the reworks those dungeons all had an identity. It was not just "3 packs and a boss", but you had to actually interact with the dungeon. Or Satasha with all of it's side rooms and lore building for the Reavers, which 99% of people ignore now as there is no reason to go fight extra mobs since they do not give xp or mats any more. so yea, until they figure out how to make dungeons fun again, and get people invested in the main content and not just waiting for the side story, Im unsubbed. Hate donig it, will keep watching the creators each patch to hold out hope, but I am not optimistic about the future of the game at this point.

    The decision to release the ultimate before the chaotic raid is really stuipid...could've used the chaotic to get BiS and so long as you've cleared M4S and got the weapon you'd be able to go into FRU. But if you're a late starter on the savage tier right now. You won't be in the ultimate for months or more cause this incredibly dated and annoying weekly gear limit...I will never understand why developers want to prevent people from progressing further each week.

    I normally just lurk, but had to log in to comment because I knew this was going to happen when I quit at lv99 MSQ in the last zone.
    Lets not even talk about Wuk La Mat, because Ive made my peace and have quit the game, and only check on news about the game every few month when I hear about it from friends, even if I want to come back, I cant because the story is fked forever in my mind, this was worse than stormblood for me, at least I did not get annoyed like I did wuk la mat who apparently was born there but does not know anything besides that one town lmao.
    Anyways, you got a dog shit story dialog, pacing, quest design, in a pretty world, but have no use besides the same old fate system that still has not been improved upon, and like few hours of voiced cutscene only ( I always play in Japanese audio, so I cant judge if the voice acting contributed even more ill will or not ) , its no wonder people finish it in like few days and then start thinking about what to do.
    Then you got 2 new fancy jobs release which I did not even try by the way, but with the most dumbest system Ive ever seen and have just given up talking about, where you never start at lvl 1, and you get sync down instead of still having your skills. The devs never taking some actual time out of their spread sheet schedule to figure out how to scale down potency of high lvl skills enough so we can use our full rotation in lower level dungeons, no that would be too much to ask from a small indie company like square enix kek.
    And then of course, following the spread sheet to the tee and never giving the people who want to play a reason to stay subbed, because some people do not like doing anything in game but afk in limsa and get free stuff for logging in and reading couple of pages of text.
    finally the biggest issue is yoshida and his team being too relaxed and depending too much on their spreadsheet, that would have worked when he was trying to save the game, min maxing work schedule to get things out on time, but it can not be continued to be the escape goat, for the game will get stale with same formula. ( eating different junk food, with exact same flavor)
    Back to the void for me now.

    it's just so funny how players saw this *years* ago and tried to be vocal about it. Yet people told us to be quiet, sit down, and enjoy or told us to go play another game. Many did go quiet and left the game entirely. Sadly, imo the game has been taken over by the kind of crowd that does not enjoy MMOs and do not understand what an MMO needs or even really is. There are still a few remaining that do, but it's too late to correct the issues at hand imho as much as I dislike saying it. Maybe there's still hope? But I'm not gonna hold my breath. The devs are too scared to do anything outside of what they have before that did well, and if they do try something "new" it's mostly a halfstep attempt quickly saying: "We'll probably never do it again depending on feedback." Which is such a bad look to me, because it only tells me they don't believe in it succeeding and/or they didn't even try to make it work.
    Idk, we'll see what the future holds for XIV but seeing even still there's a large vocal part of the community that combats this way of viewing an MMO and wants....It's safe to say, it's time to just move on and pray the next FF MMO is an actual MMO. And I pray it doesn't take up a mainline title, so they don't feel the need to push a story/vertical design as they have with XIV. XI is the exception in this case, but that is that. My best recommendation for those who still want to play XIV is only sub the month leading into an Expansions Launch, that way you have content to keep you busy for more than a week. How will you fill that 2year gap is up to you, either by finding another MMO to play that does have what you're looking for to keep you busy, or another game in-general or another hobby.

    They are exploiting this brutally and since enough player eat it, why should they care to invest money and effort into improving the game? No, they will just further cut it down as they do since SB.
    Sure, they lost a big amount of players during ShB, where they went even further with that and many who weren't blind fans also left because the story became ridiculous bad, but those were succcesfully replace with new players which could easily be blinded with a lot of lies like "caring developer", "honering your time", "great story", "endless things to do" and all shit.
    This lasted quite some time and they made a hell lot of money from these guys until they realized they had been lied to, especially with the RMT shop, so they will just try to repeat that.

So I would imagine a lot more people (like myself) will leave until they either improve the content in the patches or improve the story telling aspect. The thing is they are still riding the high from the WoW exodus during ShB, but that wave will soon crash.

I have loved this game for a long time, been playing since 2.0 came out, never had a problem starting a new alt when things started to feel stale as the early story is S tier imo. But with the way EW and now DT have gone, I cannot look forward to the story anymore and the content within the expansions is bland to say the least. The streamers are going to be the first to notice the problems BECAUSE they play it 6 hours a day every day. But saying that they should take a back seat just because they notice it before you is just a bad take. If they do not call it out now, when only the people who have been at it as long as they have notice it, there will be no chance to course correct before it becomes a problem that the whole community notices. Just look at the progression of the D4 reddits if you do not believe me.

    • @MrDavid01228

      Having the relic actively engaged in the content makes more people do the content, which means devs spend more time on the content. When Relic Weps are literally just tomestone gear what engagement is there outside of running the roulettes? We already have tomestone gear for every class, have the Relics be something special.

    • @wiseazz07
      @wiseazz07 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@MrDavid01228 In Endwalker, you were able to engage with content freely, without being directed to specific activities. It didn’t hold your hand or tell you to complete certain tasks a set number of times. You could play however you wanted, as long as you were earning tomes. I don’t mind exploration content like Bozja, and if they tie relics into it, that’s fine. What I oppose is being required to complete specific content a certain number of times-it quickly becomes repetitive and dull, especially if you’re working on multiple relics.
      In an MMO, I want freedom, not a guided, linear path. Following one set path eliminates that freedom, and relics themselves aren’t even that valuable until all content is released. Are they truly special in the first place? They’re essentially just tome weapons. Honestly, I wouldn’t miss them if they were replaced with more battle content. I’ll never agree that being forced to repeat dungeons, FATEs, or old trials a set number of times is an improvement or add more engagement.

    • @MrDavid01228
      @MrDavid01228 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@wiseazz07 So, when ARR and HW relics were launched, they were not asking you to engage in "old" content. They were asking you to engage in the world or high level content for the current expansion set (so 50's content for ARR, 60's content for HW). You were not hard directed into one set of activities though. If you did not want to do fates, well then you could choose to dungeons or trials. If you were tired of either of those, you had fates and Leves (for ARR, in HW it was fates only). Regardless, it made you interact with multiple facets of the main game world to complete. Combined with the fact that relic weapons were the BIS, guaranteed, and had the best look? yea it was worth it to do the grinds. It was only with Eureka and Bozja that they started trying to ramrod the relic down a specific path. And then with EW the relic lost all value since it took literally 0 effort to obtain. You say you want freedom? true freedom is having the option to do things, and have the things be desirable. I felt good completing each stage of the relic in ARR and HW. Felt ok doing it in SB and ShB. Felt nothing for EW, because there was no investment into it. So yes, doing 24 man dungeons, fate trains and trials IS a better experience for an MMO. Because they create engagement within the content, and an actual reason to farm the content. Which in turn, causes the devs to put more effort INTO the content, which in turn leads to better content all around. It is a cycle, and if you remove the need for one part of it, the whole thing breaks down. As I said before, if you want tomestone gear, there is already tomestone gear. Let the relics stay special.

      @@MrDavid01228
      So you weren’t able to do 24-man dungeons, trials, or hunt trains in Endwalker? Light grinding is essentially just Tombstone grinding under a different name. You see that, right? Some of the relics could have been BiS at the final stage, sure. But again, you’d have to wait until the end of the expansion for that weapon to actually be on par with other options.
      Take Dreadwyrm vs Zeta, for example. Patch 2.4 was when Final Coil of Bahamut was released, and patch 2.45 introduced Zeta. So all the content was done, but hey, the relic is finally BiS-let's go! You had choices, but once you made that choice, it was locked into a specific Fate or leve grind. It was long and grindy, no doubt, and it forced you to engage with content you liked and didn’t like.
      If that’s the system you want, that’s your prerogative. But just remember, back then there were only 10 jobs; now we have 20+. The relic weapon is going to sit in your inventory for the entire expansion, maybe until the very end. Do you really want them to spend that much time bringing the relic system back to the ARR grindy standard? It wasn’t fun then, and reviving it now would just reduce the number of people who actually complete it, and reduce the quantity of weapons per player. All that effort and resources for something that ultimately doesn’t change that fact this that it the side piece until all content is done.
      There’s still a core issue here: if a relic weapon is better than the on-content patch weapons, why bother with the raid weapon in the first place? If the relic is equal to or better at the end of the expansion, what is the point in getting it? Sure, the added customizable stats to the relic are nice, but honestly, that’s mainly for people who want to min/max their DPS. The raid weapons could already have the desired effects, so the relic’s customization doesn’t really change the equation for most players.
      The only thing that keeps relic weapons relevant is Ultimate content, but even then, they’re mostly a catch-up mechanic.

    • @wiseazz07
      @wiseazz07 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      To be clear, I'm not against them improving the game or adding more content. I just think that the acquisition process isn't the problem, and it doesn't diminish the value of the weapon itself. The system that was initial created for the relic weapons made it not have value to begin with. I'd love for them to create an area of the game where special stats are tied to artifact weapons. For example, these could provide buffs like increased haste or unique gear sets that dramatically change your job's playstyle-such as halving cooldowns, etc. I think creating something truly special is a great idea, but it would need to be redesigned altogether.

Class balance is all over the place, whatever content wow is churning out its not enjoyable. This is coming from someone who came back for TWW excited, just to be let down day after day until recently when I just gave up. The anniversary event wasnt there to celebrate 20 years of wow, its there to keep you grinding and making their metrics looks good. If I was developing the game, I would put the Bozja like zone in this patch and keep updating it every future patch of DT. We have to see how Chaotic CoD goes, but if I am able to just log in and PF it the way I do extremes, I would say it is a success. Criterion dungeons as well, apart from the reward issue, make them like Criterion is extreme, Savage Criterion is harder savage rather than a timed mode. They need to make it so that there is content to do when you log in that isnt roulettea, but fomo is definitely not it.

    I dont think ff14 has enough solo content. Seeing as i spend most my time solo, ff14 isnt really a good game, especially if the story is gonna be as lack luster as dawn trail has been going into the future.

      @alexmaganda5827 so is real life, but that game also has a significant amount of solo play. It is a significant failure of any mmo to not have a sizable amount of solo content because the lone hero is one of the most common archetypes.

    I’m sorry but I don’t care who it is watching what content- reacting to another creators reactions is LAME. Period lol. Like omg.
    Genuinely I dont care what content it is. That’s just so derivative to me. I have little patience when content is literally looking at content then talking about the content.
