The song achieved world wide acceptance. I think it's the only Japanese made song ever to have reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100! Maria, you did an excellent job singing this wonderful melody with your beautiful voice! Very uplifting to listening to! It's interesting you combined a portion of the English lyrics (which was not a literal translation of the Japanese version) near the end. The transition was smooth and seamless! A winner! I like it!
