Why Bigbang are called The Kings of Kpop??
1. Bigbang is one of the first group to start writing and producing their own music. G-Dragon is the first idol to do it. And not only writing songs but he produced such a hit song(Lies-Bigbang). After that agencies started giving their idols chance to do it.
2. Bigbang is the first one to have official lightstick.The first official lightstick in kpop was designed by G-Dragon. It was called Bang Bong. Since then all fandoms followed it and now every fandom has their own lightstick.
3. T.O.P is the first underground rapper turned idol in kpop and the first rapper in kpop to have a deep voice. After that it became a trend for every group to have a rapper with a deep voice.
4. Bigbang was the first boy group to dye their hair bright unusual colors like pink, blue, neon green, orange. G-Dragon made it trend, starting from blonde there is no color he hasn't tried. Now every kpop idol will color their hair differently in every comeback.
5. They were the first group to call the youngest member as "maknae" as Seungri and TOP both have the same name which is Seunghyun. They did that so they can call seungri as maknae and not to confuse both of them. Now every group and their fans will call the youngest member as "maknae".
6. Bigbang is also the first group that members have solo careers without disbanding. Before bigbang, groups always disbanded or the member just left if one of them wants to pursuit their own career. But Bigbang showed them you can have solo career while still being in the group. Taeyang and Gdragon have won daesangs(main awards) for their solo career and always topped the charts including Billboard. Daesung was so popular in Japan (more popular than bigbang itself lol)
7. And to this day G-Dragon is still the only soloist from idol groups to win Artist of the Year/Daesang.
8. In 2014, G-dragon won World's Best Entertainer Of The Year and World's Best Album at World Music Awards,
and the first kpop act to have two albums on the Billboard 200.
9. Seungri once had his own vocal and dance academy that have trained many idols such as J-Hope from BTS, Mijoo from Lovelyz, Jinwoo from Winner, Zelo from B.A.P , Hyung Won from Monsta X, Hye Lin from EXID and many other artists.
10. They were part of the first generation of kpop that made it global and shaped its characteristics
11. First kpop artist to collaborate with western artist. G-Dragon's collaboration with Flo Rida back in 2009.
12. First kpop group to win an international award. In 2011, they won MTV EMA. They beat Britney Spears that day. They also won World's Best Group, World's Best Live Act and World's Best Video Of The Year (Fantastic Baby) in 2014 World Music Awards.
13. They were able to enter U.S Billboard Charts 200 (2012) with a full korean album making them the first Kpop group to achieve that without any promotion in U.S
14. They introduced the concept of EP(Mini Album) to kpop.
15. They set the fashion trends because they were the inspiration for many fashion designers.
16. G-Dragon is the one who made kpop idol airport fashion trend. He also become the first asian
to be a global brand ambassador of fashion brand (Chanel)
17. They are also called the kings of live performances coz their stage presences were insane. When you impressed by watching their MVs, trust me their live performances are better !!!
18. And until now Bigbang still trending everyday in Melon (Biggest music streaming platform in korea) without doing anything and not releasing any music. Their last song before hiatus titled "Flower Road" broke many records and topped all the charts in korea without a single promotion and they were already in the military when the song was released.
19. Today they are still the best selling kpop group in China's history despite being 4 years of hiatus.
20. And until today they still held the record for the biggest kpop concert tour ever (Bigbang - Made World Tour)
21. They are your idols' idols, many idols wanted to be idols because of them. Big Bang may not be your bias, but they're your bias' bias
22. They have conquered two generations since their debut in 2006(2nd gen) and when they comeback in this 4th gen, imagine the impact.
Their influence and impact in kpop is heavy.They are the blueprints of kpop that is why they are called the KINGS.

BIGBANG, KINGS OF K-POP:
- not because of their looks (not all visuals considered)
- not because of their dancing skills (rarely follow choreo)
- not because of their fan service (Sr/Tae, best of FS HAHAHA)
- not because of their appearance on variety shows (rarely joined VS)
- not because of the extra performance design (not the best opening wth green screens, lightings, effects, and such)
We love them first because of their music. Next is their voices which means the vocals and rap lines, then when we saw their live performances, then the fashion, and then we get to see their variety appearances, their own documentary, history, discography, self producing hardworking artists, real singers and sincere idols of idols.
No matter how many groups who will or already debuted, dancing so freaking good, so freaking handsome and hot, so freakin great long ranged vocals, so freakin fast in rapping, so freakin popular across the globe. Bigbang is Bigbang, you don't compare them will those people. Like I said, they are not the normal streotype of K-POP, they're on the league of their own.
The very reason why BIGBANG do not appreciate the term of K-POP. Because like they said, you don't divide music by whose singing it. Music is just Music.
It's funny how they became popular and become Kings of K-POP even without those extra extra mushy mushy extra extra thingyyy.
And the fact that people still compare them to groups nowadays speaks VOLUME. They are the standard, whether you accept it or not. BIGBANG IS THE STANDARD.

Watching this in 2018 because,
- Bigbang will face hiatus in the next few years
- Bigbang is not part of MMA2016-17

Both were amazing both on stage and off. They're passionate about their music and dream, and their secrets to success is having fun.
They captive audience old and young, there song has been covered by Juniors and senior groups
Even if 2ne1 is disbanded their fanbase is still active just like when Bigbang went in for enlistment, strongest fandom in the world.
And most of all when all 9members are together you could see the glimpse of the old YG family pride.

BIGBANG doesn't try to be perfect. Sometimes they don't reach the right notes, sometimes they sing the wrong lyrics, but they give their 150% effort each time and they're always sincere when they perform. This makes each and every performance they've done so special. Even if they're singing the same song in 10 different videos, each performance is unique in their own way. BIGBANG doesn't do boring. They have flaws, but their stage presence, sincerity, and passion makes up for everything. And that's what touches audiences' hearts. That's what touches VIPs' hearts. BIGBANG is one of a kind. They perform with all their heart and you can feel it. That's what I don't feel when watching other groups (whether girl or boy) perform. Of course, the only other exception is 2NE1. I miss seeing BIGBANG and 2NE1 together on stage.

Seriously, they don't lip sync in their concert and other live performances. And that's probably the reason why I won't get tired watching it over and over again, it always feel different and REAL.

I'm not even kidding, I was sobbing all throughout this whole performance. Their presence, their voices, their energies, the crowd, the stage.. everything was so perfect. That I cried even harder realizing that uncertain road in front of us, is approaching slowly.
2012, was their last comeback as a group. 2015, when they decided that it's time to break every sort of record that is possible only for BIGBANG to break. It felt surreal as a fan. Very much surprised and too overwhelmed by how much they managed to top their last comeback. I won't lie, I had doubts. ALIVE was totally a wall. But somehow they were able to make another wall, stronger that ALIVE, and that was MADE.
Their appearance in MMA made me remember why the hell I was even here in the first place. It's their music. It's their bond. Everything I loved about the group.
Their at the peak of their fame internationally, but they have duty to serve their country. TOP will probably enlist next year, then will be followed by YB and GD, then the maknae line. It's so sad and depressing to think we'll be waiting for another 3 years, or even more to get another comeback like this. But the thing here is, realistically, we aren't sure that if the time they all finished the service, they all still have one goal. If they still want to continue the dream they started and shared for more than 10 years. Even the members are aware of this.
So let's all savor everything they have to offer for this comeback. Appreciate every little thing they give us. Spazz about them a little more. Make time for them a little more. Buy their albums, songs. Go to their concert tour. Cause we are too unsure of tomorrow. This might be the last or not. No one really knows. Better do everything now than to regret later.
I don't think we'll be waiting for another 3 years.If they go one by one, I think it would take them 5 years minimum for all of them to finally finished their military enlistment (which includes seungri). 😢😢😢

No one can give as electrifying performances such as this. This is what everybody is missing all these years. They truly are performers, they hype the crowd with their talent and charisma. These cannot be learned, you have to born with it. Legends indeed. Kings of KPOP. Their songs are still charting despite the long hiatus. Their songs from 10 years ago are still well recognized by people. Now, when you have reached this status, then, maybe then, you can compare yourselves to Bigbang.
The reason why after all these years we never gave up? Because these kings deserve all the love in this world. Until their military release, I hope there are still VIPs left waiting for them even after TOP and Seungri’s scandal, Taeyang settled down (marriage), GD who would probably go solo. Daesung, the only maknae right now and even if they have decided to disband. I hope we will always raise our VIP lightsticks up. Let’s not waste the years.

I haven't watched or listened to any Kpop award shows for 3 years since 4/5 of them went to the military. Today, one of my friends just mentioned about MAMA 2018 and I suddenly felt so sad because I just realized that I really miss BigBang so much. I still remember the first time I heard "Haru Haru", that song hit my feelings so hard that I decided to follow only this group. And now, I'm rewatching all of their live performances and variety shows to ease my loneliness without them.

I’ve never been the type to just turn on my tv and stream performances or even music videos. But literally every evening I put Big Bang on my smart TVs and just stream their TH-cam videos. It winds me down and takes the edge off. Like they do what wine use to do for me. It’s the BigBang effect. Once bitten you are forever theirs.

I love how BIGBANG performs, everything isnt always perfect. What matters is that theyre performing real and true. No lip sync and auto tone. Raw talent and voice are heard when performing. The bond they just create with the crowd is just beyond words. Their stage presence is indescribable. They dont even have to try that hard to impress the crowd with hard core choreography. They just have to be real and unravel their true selves to the crowd. I think thats what we are missing in today's kind of performances. I regret being a 5th grader that time HUHUHU
