- USWNT midfielder Kristie Mewis sits down with Kelley O’Hara to discuss how she’s preparing for her first World Cup at the age of 32. After previously saying on an episode of Snacks that making this roster would change how she thinks about her career, Kristie shares with Kelley how her mindset has shifted to focus on the next task at hand: helping the USWNT win their third consecutive World Cup. Kristie and Kelley discuss who would win in a penalty shoot out: Kristie or her partner, Australia’s Sam Kerr. Kristie reflects on the last time the USWNT played Australia and what might happen if they collide this tournament.

I love her confidence, but I'm a Barça Femení fan, recent Champions League winners, and Spain have two of the best midfielders in Liga F: Aitana Bonmatí y Alexia Putellas, not to mention their forwards Mariona Caldente y Salma Paralluelo.

Major mistake by Vlatko not to play Krisite a lot more in the World Cup. She should have been a starter. Seemed clear to me from her time on the field with the national team, whenever she got a chance. It's like he, they, denied what they saw in order to serve their "youth movement" ideology that took over in too severe a way, and it cost us. I think she can play for 4 more years and another World Cup and hopefully the coach we have then won't blindly serve some kind of Age-ist philosophy and have the guts to play her if she deserves to start, which I think is a distinct possiblity.
Lol as a New Zealander, we are also down under! Funny that Sam didn't know though (I swear NZ is the Canada of Oceania lol, no one knows anything about us 😂)

No offense but the last game vs Spain didn't include 8 of the recent women's Champions League winners which Sam couldn't beat. Don't get me wrong, I love K. Mewis but Aitana Bonmatí, Alexia Putellas, Mariona Caldente y Salma Paralluelo are boss. They play as if they are dancing around their opponents. lol it's quite beautiful. In Liga F, I'm a die hard Barça Femení fan, I could care less for the Real Madrid players on the team. Haha rivals.
They couldn't beat a severely depleted spain. I hate the spanish coach and federation but the USA couldn't even beat the netherlands, don't know about their chances against a strong spanish side. Though to be fair we haven't seen spain against a top team yet in this tournament, the game against japan will tell us alot about their actual level
