0:19 I would honestly say he's even better than them when it comes to binding. Ines bind is only temporary, and Qiubai's bind is pretty unreliable off-skill. You might say the same is true for Ethan but unlike Qiubai, he has MUCH faster cycling with only 25 sp skill cost, where as Qiubai S3 costs 55 sp. But the most important thing that makes him better than these two is the fact that his attacks are TRUE AoE, meaning he will attack and bind EVERYONE in his range, no matter how many enemies are there. Of course, both Ines and Qiubai have much more utility than just bind, not to mention that they actually deal more damage (although Ethan's S2 damage isn't exactly weak either.) But that damage alone might not always be enough to kill an enemy if they're especially strong. In in those cases, Ethan's binds will come in handy since he will just hold enemies in place while your DPS units can safely attack them. Seriously people, build your Ethan.
Superb video - would like to mention that in IS5, Ascalon is quite powerful - so even though Ethan is 0 hope to recruit, it's still a used voucher so if you plan to draft Ascalon there is a little bit of redundancy
Ethan's one of my very first E2'd 4 stars I don't use him as much as I used to anymore since bind isn't gonna be needed when I have ops that can dish out so much damage like Walter or Logos Although, it was always fun to use his S2M3 with his Max mod and effectively bind groups of enemies in one place for the entire skill duration (if you're lucky of course)
Yeah after seeing how broken Ethan was for RA #1 I e2ed him immediately. Ines wasn't out at that time, so he really was my main binder at that time and the best RNG chance along with Manticore s1 with module and Suzaran s2. In RA#2, I found myself using him during the Critical Contensions mode (the mode with HG didn't think RA was hard enough so they made it harder by fighting literally hundreds of waves)
being a beginner in 2025 is so much better than being a beginner back then, they just give you 2 6 stars for free, a free elite 2 max level 5 star as soon as possible so you can borrow Wisadel s3, the base module unlock is now at trust 0so base module upgrades is already there once you e2 them, and once you have enough resources to build a 4 star, you can just build Myrtle and Ethan to solve DP generation and pseudo perma bind crowds of enemies while you wait for Wisadel to wreck everything so you can clear events and shops really easily for faster progression
Enemies will move 3-4x farther with E1 Ethan compared to S2M3 Module Ethan - it's that drastic of a difference. It's like going from Earthspirit to Mostima. For the side by side it would have been even more telling to do E1 Ethan vs Uber-Ethan because it's not even close. His S2 goes from being a decent 4* power level tool to becoming something that wouldn't feel out of place being the S3 on a 6*.
If he's the King of Binds, who's the King in Binds...?
Sleeper agent spotted.

Nice showcase, Ethan deserve a lot of appreciation because bro is that good for a 4 star.

FINALLY! MORE OPERATOR SHOWCASE!!
and yes! ethan is actually my first operator to e2 , it's very fun to use him.
He's especially good with some fellow ambushers in one of the boss battles in reclamation algorithm!!

0:18 say that again...
How to use: pray for binds
Pls bind Ethan
No need to pray, he WILL bind.
His module is a miracle
Module: what prayer

Ethan arknights I love you Ethan arknights
Ethan and Indigo are the king and queen of bind for AOE and most effectively single target or a few targets respectively imho.
IS aspd buff makes him a bind wall

He's the only operator that's E10, so he's kinda the GOAT by default.
Nah, he'd bind.
Wow 🎉
thanks unc
