Real prank? Maybe. The man being pranked looked like he was acting though. Look at the way that he whoops it up for the entire performance, even before the shot was hypothetically made and actually missed. Then look at his celebration which looks pre-planned. In other words, the shooter doesn't look surprised he made the shot (just excited).
I wasn't there but I can only assume that once the blindfold was on, the fans got the cue from the jumbotron to cheer the soon to be missed shot once the blindfold went on. Rather the relative homeboy was punked or not, either way, the audience definitely was punked. To me this is just not funny. It promotes cruel pranks or staged pranks where nobody but the audience is pranked. The latter is like life in general, meaning one giant deception. Think matrix control system, mind control, and mass media. It's all a grand production.
Again, the whole thing looks staged here. Ironically the audience followed the cues for their own deception.
