You are fun! Love being here! 😂 Ren felt that last song because he said it described the last 10 years of his life. It is just the repeating over and over I'm lost, but I'm really trying. At the end he stops playing and grabs his knee because it is shaking. It's a symptom of his illness. Breaks my heart that he has had a relapse and his life is on hold again...off line and resting, under treatment by specialists I absolutely love this song.
I never cared for EDM music, but I do like it better when Ren raps over it. Fred Again is an EDM artist and Ren took 5 of his songs and mashed them up acoustically. Amazing!!!
Why is Ren so different? Here's why. There are many talented people who play multiple instruments, rap , produce, etc. So what's so special about Ren? Ren connects and inspires his fans and musicians/rappers in a way that's visceral. He's very confident yet humble in what he does, even though it's very different. He puts every bit of himself, heart body and soul into his art. His authenticity comes through very clearly. He also has an all consuming passion for music. Thanks for a great reaction💞
Ren is self taught on guitar from watching and slowing down yt videos according to what I've heard him say in interviews. He said he sees the notes in colors and patterns on the guitar. 💙💙💙

It was said somewhere that Ren & friends went to a Fred Again concert, and he burst into tears when the lines "I've been lost for awhile, but I'm really trying" were sung. He lost his latter teen years and most of his 20s, and he is still battling this disease and the accompanying damage done to him 14 years on. He keeps trying. ❤
I didn't know that story. Thank you so much! It's one of my favorite Ren songs. I cried when I heard that line for the first time as well. Except for being a 50 yr old mother from Baltimore, our stories are eerily similar. So my heart broke for both of us. Your info makes it a little more special to me, thank you!! 💜

Notice that his right leg is trembling/spasming at the end & he presses on his knee to stop it as the camera pans away & out the window. He has said in the past that his legs & feet hurt all the time. You may have heard that his Lyme's is no longer in remission & he has returned to Calgary for treatment. Last week, in the middle of a rehearsal, he had to be taken to A & E (Accident & Emergency). I don't know specifically why. He's now resting at home. Every Renegades heart is with him.
The Lyme's is all but gone but sadly the secondary infection that comes with Lyme's hasn't responded to treatment. It's a bacterial infection bartonella often found in conjunction with Lyme's Disease. Unfortunately he is having to return to Canada this month I believe for hopefully successful treatment

Ren is self taught watching TH-cam video and videos of the greats like Hendricks! Some people are actually born with this God given talent…. There really is no other explanation ❤
His classical style of playing that's not exactly classical is because Ren is self taught. He had to because he couldn't learn the traditional way due to his ADHD. Ren made this because he loves Fred Again's music and wanted to honour it. He mashed up 5 of his favourite tunes. During a break from treatment last year Ren travelled to the States for a Fred Again show and found himself crying in the middle of the dancefloor when Ive been Lost olayed. The lyrics really hit him and that spurred this on. My next suggestion for you is Seven Sins if you haven't done it yet. Entirely priduced by Ren, this song is brilliant ❤ There's only a lyric video for it btw.

I watched Ren in an interview talking about how he learned guitar by remember the shapes of his finger... in others words when people say he sounds like classically trained it's a huge compliment to his ability to hear notes and sounds and relay them into music.

Ren's guitar skills come not from instruction, he spent hours watching TH-cam tutorials of guitarists and then teaching himself how to play the same or how he could adapt his own play style to incorporate the new notes... He does have a musical background through his mother, but he is mostly self taught. A great track to sample Ren's vocal's is his song "Loco" which is an entire A-capella track, the entire beat made by Ren's voice
I think we learn to be really hard on ourselves as kids; it's a way for us to avoid getting smacked down by someone else, so in a way, it really helps us to learn to do it. But then as adults, it stops serving us as well - I'm glad that we have helped! And I love your reactions, thank you for sharing them with us.

Good review. Ren's been playing guitar,since his dad gave him a old battered guitar at the age of 10. In the the 1st YT interview Red did with Justin Hawkins, Ren goes into great detail on how he learnt to play.. He said he carried the guitar with him were ever he went, and always practicing. If he wanted to learn a new style of music, or a certain guitar technique, like finger picking, he would find a YT guitar teacher who he could resinate with
I found a good way into finger picking was to put all my picks in a bag in a drawer and to ban myself from playing anything I already know. After 30 days my musical ideas and technique had massively improved. 👍

Glad you're here mate. I did sub for Ren but have stayed and watched more than just him. Ren isn't well at all and will have to go back to seclusion in Canada in a couple of weeks for quite a while so we'll have to make do with the music he has or can safely release before he goes away to get healthy again.

You know, there's been a couple things you've said in other rants that I didn't quite agree with, I even commented once on one issue, but I tried to do so in a civil, respectful manner. I think most Renegades took to heart the statement at the end if Hi Ren and that is 'we must not forget, we are all human beings' except Ren, of course as with talent like that he is definitely from Mars, you hear it here first Ren is Ziggy Stardust.
Glad you're here mate. I did sub for Ren but have stayed and watched more than just him. Ren isn't well at all and will have to go back to seclusion in Canada in a couple of weeks for quite a while so we'll have to make do with the music he has or can safely release before he goes away to get healthy again.
Hey, rant away there my friend, in fact I rather enjoyed your pre-reaction commentary, and appreciate you showing appreciation to your subs. You know, there's been a couple things you've said in other rants that I didn't quite agree with, I even commented once on one issue, but I tried to do so in a civil, respectful manner. You actually read it, and responded, still disagreeing, but with the same civil and respectful nature. And at the end of the day, that's really all I can ask of a content creator, or any of my fellow Americans as far as basic common decency. After all, one of the things that is supposed to make this country great, at least in theory, is that we are a melting pot of ideas and ways to improve the country (1st words of the preamble to the constitution..."In order to form a more perfect union"), and coexisting despite our differences and the ability to hash them out, it's supposed to be something we do, and are proud of. Not sure when we lost that ability as a country, but it's nice to engage with others in that type of environment here and there, and I think your channel is providing that for us, so kudos my good man, kudos indeed!! ✌💚
