Love this and super helpful! Is there anyway you could to provide stills/photos of the sample boards with the names of the base paint colors more visible?
You are such a blessing! I used this technique to transform the furniture in my sunroom from a mismatched mess to a unified modern look, for almost no money. Thank you!! ❤
These are beautiful! I love to see all the furniture you’ve done! Some of it is literally trash and then you make it look so amazing!
You are so very talented! Thank you so much for investing so much of your time and work into providing us these samples. I am blow away by the results and can't wait to try your methods
Thank you so much!! This is a wonderful summary of what is possible and the video links are SO helpful!!
I completed a piece after reviewing you teaching and it turned out gorgeous thanks
Did i miss part 3???? You are the best! I love your videos!
You didn’t miss #3, I’ve got it ready to post but with the sponsor deadlines it got switched 🫶 I’ll be posting this weekend, it’s a whole table makeover too!!
So impressive, thanks for all your videos they helped me in many projects! What paint color have you used for the darkest brown sample @blacksheephouse ?
You always hit it out of the park and you are, no doubt, the master of this PB finish!!! I have done 4 pieces following your technique and have watched all of your videos over and over. I absolutely love #29 and don’t remember seeing a video for it but you didn’t add any information about or link… can you please let us know how you did 29? Thank you so much!!
Wow, what a compliment 🖤🖤 29 is the basic masterclass finish from part 1 but I sanded it more on the drawer fronts bc I decided to fill the old hardware holes and put center knobs and so when I sanded the drawer fronts to raw wood in those areas the natural wood grain really showed off and was still showing just under the paint but really popped when I applied the glaze. It’s one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever worked on! Davis Cabinet Company was the name brand, really amazing quality furniture!! Thanks for letting me know I left that blank, I’ll put this info there now too
Beautiful! I love them all. I love the briarsmoke gel stain looks, but need to find a water based option. Have you tried Rustoleum’s smoked glaze on anything? Love your tutorials, Shannon. ❤️
I haven’t tried it but I have thought about trying to mix it with the brown to create a water based option, let me know if you try it before I do!
I'm in canada and they don't sell the decorative glaze brown, what can I use to achieve the same look pottery barn with rugged tan? fusion mineral finishing oil? gel stain old oak? I'm told the chalked aged glaze. Help!!! SO inspired 😍
Amazing!! All your job❤
Looks amazing Thank You ❤
This is great! I have a piece that I can’t decide what to do with. It’s an old console table. It has a great shape. But the table top is an inlay type design with a groove around it. It’s all veneer and the design on the top is just too dated. I wanted a wood top. As soon as I saw number 4 I knew I was going to try it. ANd then I saw number 6 and I love those colors.
As I saw #7 I thought… oh…. That yellow is too much. But the finished product looks so good! And number 27! Love that color. So many great pieces. So many ideas.
Have you done the PB biscotti finish? I need to color match. Please help
Have you heard of or ever tried your method using Retique It products instead of paint? It is supposed to be paint that contains wood fibers so it looks and feels like wood to touch. would love to know if you have an opinion on it and what colors you would use to create similar looks.
I haven’t tried it but I would like to! I’ve seen some pretty before and afters 🖤
Hi, I love your videos and your work, it’s amazing how much the pieces look like Pottery Barn furniture!
Have you seen their new furniture line called Aptos? It has a finish called, sand wash. I am in love with this new finish and I would love to know from you how you would go about accomplishing this finish. I cannot figure out if I should use a peachy sand, base color, and then do white on top or if I should use a darker base with white on top and other colors, brushed on lightly like you do at the end of your projects with your chip brush. I would greatly appreciate your help on this project. Thank you!
Sand washed wood bedroom furniture is a type of furniture that has been treated with a unique technique that results in a distinct and rustic appearance. To create sand washed wood furniture, wood is treated with a fine-grit sandpaper. Once thats done it removes some of the softer grains, giving the furniture a rough and textured feel. The sanding process also highlights the natural wood grain. This creates a weathered look that is reminiscent of vintage or reclaimed wood. After sanding, the wood is usually treated with a special finish or coating that enhances its texture and protects it from wear and tear. This is the only thing I could find.. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m not sure if this is Pottery Barn do.. there are is literally no information about that in Google search lol
What colors do I need to achieve #5
How do I get to part 1?
What about a gray like briar smoke?
12 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I don’t like this new concept I liked it much better when I could watch what you were doing.
Don’t worry, format isn’t changing this was just a random video 🙏
I think it is brilliant! She is summarizing all these finishes in one video with links to the longer videos. Thank you Shannon!
@@renaed00bdavis86you didn’t miss it, I’m putting it up tomorrow (Sunday) but bc of the sponsor timing it got mixed up 🖤
I love it! Very impressive. I can’t believe how many you’ve done and taking care of a little one to boot! I’m sure she’s quite the helper though ;) thanks for sharing
