Utah is one of the most beautiful states I have ever visited. So diverse, but my favorite place will always be Bryce Canyon. It is just like walking into a land of fairy tale castles. Thank you for sharing this video!
@@garygatto3410 Sorry but no God, Gods, Devils or other creations of the stunted human mind had anything to do with the creation of these natural wonders. I’m from Utah and I agree, Bryce Canyon is amazing. I’ve been all over the northern hemisphere in the Air Force, and I do believe Utah has the most diverse natural beauty anywhere.
Congratulations!!! You have some water Treat it as what it is …a RARE and valuable resource I’ve grown up in Florida…lots of water and we’re still over taxing and squandering our supplies
I have driven out there many times to take pictures of the water coming down the red cliffs. I live in STGU so it's only a 20-30 minute drive. There's so many beautiful areas around Gunlock. I love taking pictures out there and in Snow Canyon. My husband knows that if I take my camera with me, I'll probably be gone awhile. This is a beautiful video.
@@pewpewpewAK47 My husband and I also lived in Veyo before we moved back to St. George. I would go through Gunlock if I wanted to take pictures or just thing, listen to music and drive for no particular reason. I told my husband that we should go to Gunlock and on the way home, we can take the road to Veyo and pick up my favorite pie (sour cream and lemon) at Veyo Pies. Usually I go alone since he likes to do whatever we wanted or needed and go back home. Even though it takes longer to get home, I still like doing that. Thank you for sharing your video. The rain and snow they got makes up about one half of what was lost over the last ten years.; that seems to be the consensus. It's a start,a good one too. Periods of wet and dry are the norm.
Some pray for downfall and the ones who got the snow prayed for it to go away after being stuck in weeks. I do wonder what God thinks of the mixed messages...
Everything goes through cycles. Our bodies, the weather, the climate, the earth, animals, and the universe. It will heat up again, then cool down in Fall, and winter will bring snow to the mountains once again to replenish the rivers in the spring.
Beautiful scenery always amazing to see water flowing like that especially over beautiful red rocks. water is the lifeblood of the Earth. Glad to hear that it's flowing into lake Mead
I'm staying at Gunlock.. The falls are back to just a trickle of what this day was like water wise, but they are still beautiful... but the people are in the thousands literally every day coming to see them!!!
The power and beauty of nature. I actually prefer the sound of the water to the music. And I love how people were drawn to it. Something almost universal about it.
We've been saying that here too "it's just a little creek that turned into a raging river!" No complaints, we haven't experienced rain in a long time. I enjoy your videos.
Great photography! It’s beautiful and it’s nice to see all that water. I hope it helps rather than hinders. Keep filming whoever you are. That’s quite a talent.
It is so satisfying to see those rocks taking the forces of water as such as the ones that made their contours and creation. Great footage and commentary.
I wish we could inject this water into the ground water table because so many farmers have over pumped the groundwater which threatens rural house holds & communities.
@@TheTrekPlanner No, THANK YOU 😊 I love flowing water 💦 and together with the rocks is stunning. I live halfway around the world and I miss that landscape. 🤗
Watching this compelling natural overflow makes me wonder" . If this weather should remain for another 50 years we might have another Ice age and melt down. If it does we will be domed, and every thing we have will be gone just like ancient times before us !
A few questions: Was this the historical river channel? Usually, the dam blocks the river channel, and this looks more like a leak off to the side. If so, did the engineers plan it this way? From the concrete berm at the top of the falls, it seems like a planned “overflow valve”.
Gorgeous :-) seems like folks have totally forgotten the decadal drought/wet cycles in the West, as everyone keeps yelling about climate change. This is perfectly normal variation on a 100 year scale. Now, we just have to fire the city planners that keep approving new development in dry areas.
I believe the parks and land management get to impose further water restrictions if the level falls another 20 ft ? from tier 2. Since the current regulation scheme runs out in 2026, I'm certain the government types are looking at ways to renew the government's control and management of the reservoir. Seems that incremental rationing of the water release,, before emptying the reservoir would be in everyone's interest.
@@TheTrekPlanner strangely enough, this flow doesn't impact Mead that much. I've been at Lake Mead for a week and it's been about the same (low). We might need more!!

Enjoy the sight. That's what that river looked like before damming it to fill the reservoir made it "just a small creek."
It's amazing how a putrid, man made reservoir inspires thoughts of Nature.
This is Utah! Some of the most beautiful scenery on earth.
Sure.. Utah.... The Earth is quite big you know.. Utah is irrelevant.

I've camped here a few times first time full in years. My name is Bicycle Bob and I approved this message.
Considering the drought we’ve been going through over the past few years, this is such a blessing to have lots of water for drinking, and farming.

It does, this feed the virgin river, which flows directly into mead
