I came across this video after searching "Kenpo." I studied American Kenpo with Mr. Paul Mills in the 80s, reaching the rank of blue belt, and was fortunate to meet Mr. Parker twice. Mr. Parker played the ukulele for me which I though was the highlight of the whole trip to California. Now I'm 57 and living in the middle of nowhere. I loved this video and I truly believe Mr. Parker would be proud of the innovations Jeff Speakman has made to Kenpo. After all, Mr. Parker changed the art four or five times in his lifetime. You ladies are amazing and I hope you will post more videos like this. Keep up the good work!

I don’t even practice kenpo but I love hearing from Mr Speakman and Mrs Keiper.

Every time, Sensei Speakman talks about his medical condition he overcame and his dilemma with life and death and how he came out stronger and a humble contributor to the world, it tears me up.

A truly inspiring interview from some truly inspiring people. Thank you so much for sharing this gem. As a very new student to Kenpo 5.0 but with a long history with other martial arts I feel the same sense of excitement learning this style as I did when first starting out forty odd years ago. And yes the Online Academy is an absolute game changer IMHO. I recently graded Yellow belt but already see what an amazing resource this is especially for those that want to put in the time to get to grips with complexities and subtlies of this amazing system.

@@ericpetteway3841 Just do it! And remember learning martial arts is a journey and as they say 'enjoy the journey!'. Without knowing your background it's hard to give more specific tips but I think whether you're an experienced martial artist or a complete beginner you'll find JSK 5.0 an extremely welcoming community to be a part of. Good luck :-)

As good as Van Damn was at his art I always thought Kenpo was much more impressive. Master Speakman deserved to make many more martial arts movies but regardless he still made his mark in the movie industry. Much respect Sir 🙏🏻

Martial Arts & Sport Arts big difference, the sport art has rules & competitions create bad habits,& they can become reliant on each other like dance partners, playing tag,Martial is military or life or death rules, weapons, multiple attackers, objective end the fight
