Thought this book was pretty good. But it really isn't cozy fantasy in any way? I mean it has a happy ending, but the rest of the book the MC goes through quite a bit of struggles and tough times.
Cozy fantasy is a story with very low stakes and a nice comfy feeling. This story did not portray that. Seems a bit like a marketing tactick to lable it as such, now that cozy fantasy is becoming popular.
Comparatively to the A.P. other books ,this storyline was quite tame. A coming of age story with a non volient heart of gold main character.
Just because it does fit your idea of what "cozy fantasy" does not allow you to talk down on someone's hard work by calling it a marketing tactick.
AP has Graciously given us his brilliant work for free. Please appreciate that by listening and enjoying the literature. Not by trying to feel big about yourself by leaving an uneeded untrue poorly narrative of a comment.

I don't know, compared to the rest of the Fantasy novels out there this one is positively asleep. BTW the word is "tactic." I mean if you're going to school someone you may as well do it properly.

What is the point of a character that has no purpose other than "be comfy" or whatever? What does that even mean, cozy fantasy?
