sir this is my 3 rd playlist on this channel. I watched your more than 100 videos . I am pretty confident on my concepts. This is best channel to clear concepts with examples. thank you sir for coming in my life and making me confident.God bless you .
Sir really liked your video.... I was so doubtful about this topic but after watching the video I'm clear with my concept...also liked your factory and truck example.
sir apne bola ki spooling uniprogramming h. and jab koi process i/o k liye jayegi to cpu doosri pr switch nhi krega wait krega completion k liye.us tym cpu idle rahega to fayda kya hua isse accha to wo khud hi input process krleta jb utna time idle hi baithna h to. if spooling was a multiprogramming then the benefits of i/o drivers can be observed.
12:53 why would CPU wait for I/O when we are already providing all the requirements in our Job i.e., Job : Program + inputs + control instructions. Then what will CPU wait for ?
Beacouse we store the data in disc we don't have to wait for it's operation until the previous operation is done by CPU it will access new data stored in main meamory by this way speed is enhanced
If this system was uniprogramming (with no CPU scheduling which means once a job is started the CPU will finish it), then how could the system overlap IO operations of one job with another? (I'm talking about the 4th point in the video)
i really like ur way of teaching sir...but have a question....if spooling itself means to perform multiple operations..while CPU is processing.....then how can it have a disadvantage "uniprocessing" ? (i understand uniprocessing as u explained but still not getting 'simultaneous' and 'uniprocessing' at same time)
Multiple operatioin Input/output k respect me hai. Process abhi bhi ek sath ek hi load ho rha hai memory me issliye uniprogramming hai , Agar ek sath bahut saare processes load rehta memory me toh multiprogramming hota.
first dual memory concept comes into picture(Ram+disc) cpu had no interaction with i/o devices. cpu need to wait for i/o devices , so it was more utilized

Sir, there is one Request from my side. Please upload the full series video of OP then go for DBMS,TOC and any other Subject. And one more request if possible then please upload the full series of CD and CN.Thank you sir...
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN ME WHY THE DATA WHICH HAS BEEN PROCESSED BY CPU IS NOT GOING DIRECTLY FROM MAIN MEMORY INSTEAD FIRST GOING TO DISK AND THEN GOING THROUGH MAIN MEMORY TO OP DEVICE
If spooling is uniprogramming then what benefit did it give. Earlier cpu was taking input directly from input devices and now through the disk, but what difference does it make? Time taken to get input is still the same. Someone pls explain.
@@johhnyevans9614 Spooling is uniprogramming. This means that cpu cant perform other processes while one process is busy in I/O operation. The cpu will simply wait.

12:53 why would CPU wait for I/O when we are already providing all the requirements in our Job i.e., Job : Program + inputs + control instructions.
Then what will CPU wait for ?
Because these resources are used when the I/O operation is performed
thanks sir for such useful content and your way of teaching is too good
Is this lecture recommended for gate or just college curriculum ?
I totally love this video ,it was very helpful for me and I didn't recognize that 14 min was passed ☺️. Keep it up

The CPU doesn't have to wait for input devices, it can carry on with other computations in the time the data is fetched from the disk.
