Hi Paik, I got mine this week and the tolerances are a lot better for sure, the only thing that is still loose are the mufflers on his shins in robotmode, that's about the only downside.
@@L2Nuku thanks for letting me know. I got my retail copy the other week but haven’t had a chance to open it. Look for a Blades review tonight! I’ll be scheduling it for 9PM EST in a bit
G1 Groove appears to have been a 1984.5-86 Harley-Davidson FLT-80 Tour-Glide motorcycle with the H-D Evolution motor. The Sharknose front fairing, V-Twin motor with accessories, saddlebags, and chrome bars on the fender and saddlebags are key features for the identification. On the real bike, the front fairing was notable for being attached to the frame or body, which meant the fairing stayed still while the handlebars swiveled inside the fairing. Many other Harleys had a smaller Batwing fairing that swiveled with the handlebars. So hopefully MMC gets that fairing attached more securely for this alt mode.
@@Paik4LifeX Transbots protectobots are all trash. MMC’s are okey but not ideal and it’s not the paint or sculpt that’s fine rather it’s the little things. Rubber mirrors instead of plastic (mine fell off both on First Aid), no metal for the handle bars on this new piece which are more in line with a model piece then toy figure, no diecast at all on critical places.
I think it a very well done g1 masterpiece. The toy version will look good too, im sure. I have the other three members but haven't played with them yet, I like opening them all once Ive accumulated the five combining characters.
Hey there Paik - I got mine a couple days ago (Thank you, The Chosen Prime!), and one of my foot guns is loose, similar to your sample. It's not THAT loose, it doesn't fall off on its own, but a good sneeze would knock it off. Might use some floor polish in the peghole. I have a question that was also asked in chat - does the handheld gun have anywhere to go in combined mode?
You know, I need to ask. It usually does have a place to go but it's not always with the same bot. For example, some of Bruticus team members had their guns stored inside Onslaught in combined mode.
@@Paik4Life Right - I'm curious because both Streetwise and First Aid can store their little pea-shooters in the same places as their vehicle modes, but Groove uses that spot for the combiner connection. I feel like this would be a very rare failure on MMC's part, because every other toy I've gotten from them has had excellent storage for all the parts that aren't extra faces.
It’s a beautifully sculpted piece. That totally aside if I knew what I was getting into with this entire set I regrettably wouldn’t buy it again. The reasons to me are obvious such as there isn’t any die cast for the feet. Also the handlebars are so fragile of a collector was to practice their humanity and drop the figure then this figure isn’t gonna hold up. Those handle bars should be metal. Same with First aids’s mirrors as well which are made out of rubber. Both of mine have already fell off. So I hate to be a negative Nancy here but these really are my sincere feeling/thoughts about the piece. What really annoys me is these could have easily be remedied with better QC and materials. The critics of my critique might say “well the company has to make money too” and this is what I say charge me the extra $10 per piece and give me the metal handle bars and the hard plastic mirrors. Why wouldn’t they……?
I have had a frozen shoulder issue since March! and it is only just starting to get better! got most my movement back now but still have some pain , can actually take up to 2 years to recover from but if you keep up with physio at home it will improve quicker ! it will hurt doing but keep it up a few times a day , even if at work don't forget to take 10 minutes if you can to do it (dathsheadII from tfw )
@@DjWarpedcore mine started as a rotator cuff injury that I was going to PT for but it seemed to evolve and lo and behold frozen shoulder. I hope you get to full recovery soon!
@@Paik4Life Yeah mne started off as an injury when lifting a tv and my sister pushing instead of pulling the tv which pushed my shoulder back and then over that next month the niggling pain turned into searing nerve pain when I moved my arm and then lost movement
I'm really liking this figure. It looks quite accurate to the cartoon model in both forms. The robot mode has a nice amount of articulation, and the transformation looks fun, too. I think I like the alternative mode even more, though; you can hardly see any obvious robot parts in it and it's just so good looking miniature. Plus, aside from X-Transbots' version of Groove, this one is probably the only Masterpiece scaled Transformers figure that can turn into a motorcycle. Engineering wise, this figure is really impressive. I cannot wait to have my pre-ordered copy of it.
Excited to get my 3 of this guy!

I'm sold. Looks like a more fun and sturdy transformation than Jocund.
@@AlexReynard yeah I like the transformation.
It’s kind of not imo

Is there anywhere to store the gun in combine mode?
Yes I show it. It goes in the rear

what's a "morris"? I'm guessing a typo for tires? A lot of people prefer rubber tires. So I guess it's hard to please everyone.
