I adore how NEO still has astronomically low Defense, the difference is he has a shield, which simulates having incredible defense. It's even alluded to in a Signal Flower, "OH DOCTOR... I CAN'T COMPLETE THIS BODY'S DEFENSES WITHOUT YOU." It's a really crafty way of maintaining NEO's abysmal Defense while giving us an actual, awesome as Hell I might add, Mettaton NEO fight.
I just got the game and i can't wait to get up to this point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aaaaaa this is all i ever wanted from a fangame - a real NEO fight
man, the dialogue at the start of this fight hits hard: "You're Orange now." "That's my attack." "... heh. Who says we can't have a little fun?" especially when you realize just what it's referencing and why. "YOU'RE BLUE NOW." "THAT'S MY ATTACK!" "NYEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!!!"

NEO is one of the few fights that I don't see myself updating beyond a tweak or two, since it was already really good. The others not being updated are Papyrus, Shyren, Undyne, Hotwire, Perigee, Silencio, Flutterknyte (maybe), and Mettaton EX
@Spacey I know this may just be me, I love the attacks! But the one red soul spear attacks with the giant box is just a bit… underwhelming. I know this may just be me but I love everything about the feel that aside.
thank you for bringing this fangame to life. i see some people calling it mid but i found it very good and overall the whole fangame was an enjoyable experience. especially what you did in chaotic route was very unique in my own opinion. great job! also this fight slaps as well as this song

By far my favorite song in the entire game! This song's performance compared to the others is simply ridiculous. personal opinion, but this song is more like a final boss song than Asriel's songs on the pacifist route (although the MTT is not the final boss itself. Oh btw alphys theme slaps hard too!). the ambience of the music together with the battle combine perfectly. Good job!

I really the fact that fangames are starting to add more real genocide fights than just one-shoting bosses now. Especially in core/hotland. First genocide Axis in UTY and now MTT NEO in PS!outertale. Can't wait to see genocide Sir Scratch (or what's his name is I'm kinda forget) fight in TS!underswap
In TS!Underswap it's going to be bort Ser Scratch and Undyne or only Undyne It's freaking Undyne, of course she will be a boss in boreal bluffs, meanwhile Ser scratch might take the hiding role because cannonically napstablook(even in TS!Underswap as ser scratch) is not the fighting type and is abit of a coward(even though this doesn't excuse that we'll still fight ser scratch in neutral nad pacifist but whatever
That part in the middle feels quite... ghostly? in comparison to the rest of the song. Does this mean that Napstablook will be involved in this fight? Will Mettaton have to fight you in his ghost form as a second phase of this fight?
Eye am from the future and Napstablook tried to stop you (for eternity) after Mettatoon died, which is the perfect plan until you realize asriel can use magic to damage him
