It’s not Generations. The difference is that there was not a *6* year gap. The Anime is done. It’s not the 2010s anymore, the marketing strategy has changed. They plan to keep this game alive and release DLC like on Naruto Mobile, Naruto Shinobi Striker. “In-between” games are not seven years apart. For Storm 4 they originally said that would be the last one. So for now there is no plan of production for Storm 5. Plus they released a dlc (Road to Boruto) during storm 4 breaking that cycle of half baked DLC as a new game. Most of the Storm games came out during the 360/PS3 era for some of you younger fans. And DLC wasn’t standard. We were happy to get it but it was rare. (Compared to now) we used to be able to buy complete games. (Until Map Packs and Cod created a new era.) I bought the game they fixed the mechanics from the ground up, plays way better. However I think Storm 5 is optimistic at best and we have at least 5 confirmed DLC packs. So hopefully this game will bring a lot more content to the table with expansions. I’m 30 by the way and have been playing since Ultimate Ninja 1 on PS2.

I actually do prefer the DLC packs because I know they’ll add more and give the game longer life. I remember paying $49.99 for the first Ultimate Ninja game in 2006 and it only had *12* characters for PS2! 14 characters after you unlock 9 tails Naruto and Curse mark Sasuke (came out in 03 or 02 in Japan 🇯🇵), and it’s still only $59.99. Which is honestly why I don’t complain prices have gone up in everything else literally. But video game prices have “stayed the same” but that’s why the dlc is necessary, it leads to laziness from developers, but they’re also underpaid so it works out in guess lol.

Storm series went beyond anime events with Storm 4, it's not unheard of. The anime was still airing when Storm 4 concluded the story in-game. They're truly beholden to where the manga is at instead, but it seems like they don't like to cross where anime events will be at a game's release if they can avoid it.
Naruto x boruto ultimate ninja storm 5. I don't think they will add two blue vortex since they didn't bring a game with "boruto : naruto next generation" story mode yet, and I don't think they will merge pre-time skip with after it, so ..who knows

Well the titles changed as Naruto Ultimate Ninja 1-3, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 4&5, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2-4, Generations, Revolution. And now we have NarutoXBoruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. So it’s no impossible for them to keep it as storm 5 with a new name entirely like Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 5, or NarutoXBoruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 5 or something like that. I’m sure you get the picture. It may not have all the naruto characters or it may, but they will always have some characters and Naruto is in the original title for the Boruto Manga anyways.
I will say for an original story it's pretty cool that they gave it the CC2 treatment with its own boss battles and characters unlike the previous two ones that were mostly just image stills (I mean seeing itachi cook an egg was pretty funny in generations).... Revolutions story mode was pretty silly with mecha Naruto... this one definitely seems like a better improvement for a filler story though.
The crazy thing is ppl debate which was better generations or three, so u can't assume just cause its "half baked" means it won't be good, or at least better than the numbered version to come later.

Storm 5 IF they develop it will be Borutos story. We might not get 5 until like 2026 or 28 but they have to finish the boruto anime and manga first. Connections should keep people busy till then because they added some mechanics from previous storm games that fans enjoyed and added new characters. I’m not complaining
it's a shame I expected more characters In this game and in the franchise that should have been added since the beginning of the previous games like: the others 5 Pains Being playable as alternative clothing,Yahiko,Konan and Nagato childrens/Teenagers Being playable,Sasori's armor Hiruko,Zetsu being playable,Kakashi and Sasuke's father Being playable,The 7 Swordsmen of the Mist and finally Kakuzu in Akatsuki's outfit And new characters from Classic Naruto that have never appeared before such as: Mizuki,Ebisu,Orochimaru female Adult and child costume disguised from the Chunin Exam,Kurenai,Shizune,Anko,Konohamaru child and his team,Team of Oboro From the forest of death And finally Dosu kinuta's 3 sound ninjas and their team And Kabuto's helpers And also transformations that were missing from this game as: Naruto possessed by the fox with only red eyes adult and child,Sasuke with the mark all over his body,the Gaara child transformed into the armored version of Shukaku,Butterfly Child Choji and Drunk Rock Lee Very sad it doesn't have all the fights from the Anime and the old games Storm 1,2 and 3 especially against bosses,they cut a lot of things and I even hoped Even new fights With characters from classic Naruto that weren't in the Shippuden and Classic arcs But it's a shame it didn't happen.. the story mode From this game is a disappointment but I hope that in the future all these things and bosses,Transformations & characters will be added in the future... 🥺😭🤧 🙏 like and Bye!

Connections is just like generations and revolution, like generations should’ve been Storm 2 dlc and revolution should’ve been on the full burst season pass for Storm 3 and connections is just a generations version of Storm 4 so this proves that the beginning of Storm 5 will be based off of Kara and it will end at some point in the time skip whenever that’s animated
Problem with this is, they announced that they were not going to make a storm 5 connections is the last installment we should be getting that we’re aware of
a real bummer the anime has been on a break for 5 months now and still may be for another year, at least boruto two blue vortex has time to gain chapters
I had the same thought coz the main Storm series' stories were a copy from the anime (a better version, actually) and Storm Connections had a different story from the anime, similar to the revolution

I know they feel sometimes like a disappointment because they don't have the main anime stories, but they are very great games. Bypassing them is a mistake and a loss for any fan.
It's funny because Storm 4 came out before the anime caught up so I actually experienced the ending through Storm 4. Tbh it was actually much better, much more cinematic and dynamic.

I would agree with this. But it isn't completely anecdotally true. Storm 4 was released several months before the anime finished. Storm 4 came out in Feb 2016. But the anime didn't conclude to the manga equivalent until October 2016.
Yes, that's why they had to create their own interpretation of the last fight of naruto against sasuke which differed a lot from the anime one. I remind you that the video games are adaptations of the original work which is the manga by Masashi kishimoto, they are not adaptation of the anime. When I said that they have to not go beyond the anime events to avoid spoilers, I didn't mean they have to wait for the whole events that are covered in the game to be adapted in the anime first so that they can release the game. Or else a loss of interest can happen in the fan community which can influence the sales negatively. The game has to be somewhat trendy, and the marketing team does that by releasing the game early so that it reaches the people in the right time. or else it will look outdated from marketing perspective. Not all people are waiting everyday for the game to be released, in fact the majority of sales doesn't come from the hardcore fans. If most of the events were broadcasted than it's an enough condition for the game to be released. Storm 3 had the same case, it was released in march 2013 in north america (and in April of the same year in Japan) while the anime still didn't even show the real madara yet, let alone the fight of the five Kage vs madara or naruto becoming friend with Kurama against tobi and the 5 tailed beasts that were under his control, although these were fights and story events that were integrated in the game (storm 3). In fact, some analyzer of the market claimed that the main reason for why storm 4 had less first week sales than storm 3, was because the manga was already finished in 2014 in Japan, so fans that followed the manga serialization started losing interest in a video game adaptation. They pushed the game a lot if you think I about it.
Actually Storm 1-4 is basically the journey of naruto and connected to manga the Generations is some flashback story but not like the previous games Revolution is a non canon story and not related to manga but the brandnew connections is not the 5th installation of storm series you can only choose what story you want and the story is non canon too

If people see this and sales do good. You best believe in a year or two there will be a storm 5 after some of this time skip stuff plays out. And the story will be all of borutos story without the run around stuff his little adventure got lol.
I don’t think there will be a Storm 5 simply because DLC is the name of the game now. It used to be they could get away with a new game every 2 years to add new characters and new story battles. But with DLC, we’ve already seen with Storm 4 that they can go 7 years without coming out with a new game just off DLC alone. Connections will be the main game for years to come, there will not be a Storm 5, at least not for many years.
I hope Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 5 gets announced, with open world, character creation, so it will coming to 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series S and X, and PC

Cyber connect 2 is just a video game development studio that has no decision on whether there will be a sequel or not. They never said that they are not willing to develop more storm games, in fact in a video in their youtube channel "Q&A with hiroshi episode 12", it was said that it's up to Bandai Namco. If you think about it, from commercial and marketing perspectives, it makes no sense that they won't make a sequel that has "storm" name in its title since it's so successful. Boruto survived more than 200 episodes and a lot of people liked it too.

Storm connections is looking like it'll be the ultimate story mode for naruto storm. It has pre timeskip era, all the way to boruto era

I will say for an original story it's pretty cool that they gave it the CC2 treatment with its own boss battles and characters unlike the previous two ones that were mostly just image stills (I mean seeing itachi cook an egg was pretty funny in generations).... Revolutions story mode was pretty silly with mecha Naruto... this one definitely seems like a better improvement for a filler story though.

Storm 5 IF they develop it will be Borutos story. We might not get 5 until like 2026 or 28 but they have to finish the boruto anime and manga first. Connections should keep people busy till then because they added some mechanics from previous storm games that fans enjoyed and added new characters. I’m not complaining
Boruto pre-timeskip is finished though. That could easily be a full game.
it's a shame I expected more characters In this game and in the franchise that should have been added since the beginning of the previous games like:
the others 5 Pains Being playable as alternative clothing,Yahiko,Konan and Nagato childrens/Teenagers Being playable,Sasori's armor Hiruko,Zetsu being playable,Kakashi and Sasuke's father Being playable,The 7 Swordsmen of the Mist and finally Kakuzu in Akatsuki's outfit
And new characters from Classic Naruto that have never appeared before such as:
Mizuki,Ebisu,Orochimaru female Adult and child costume disguised from the Chunin Exam,Kurenai,Shizune,Anko,Konohamaru child and his team,Team of Oboro From the forest of death And finally Dosu kinuta's 3 sound ninjas and their team And Kabuto's helpers And also transformations that were missing from this game as:
Naruto possessed by the fox with only red eyes adult and child,Sasuke with the mark all over his body,the Gaara child transformed into the armored version of Shukaku,Butterfly Child Choji and Drunk Rock Lee
Very sad it doesn't have all the fights from the Anime and the old games Storm 1,2 and 3 especially against bosses,they cut a lot of things and I even hoped Even new fights With characters from classic Naruto that weren't in the Shippuden and Classic arcs But it's a shame it didn't happen..

I don’t why ppl would think it was storm connections is literally just storm 4 with more connection issues no friend fighting and a new combat system that’s pretty much it personally I love the game I think is amazing but with those flaws it’s definitely not anything to write home about let alone call it storm 5

Connections is just like generations and revolution, like generations should’ve been Storm 2 dlc and revolution should’ve been on the full burst season pass for Storm 3 and connections is just a generations version of Storm 4 so this proves that the beginning of Storm 5 will be based off of Kara and it will end at some point in the time skip whenever that’s animated
Problem with this is, they announced that they were not going to make a storm 5 connections is the last installment we should be getting that we’re aware of

I had the same thought coz the main Storm series' stories were a copy from the anime (a better version, actually) and Storm Connections had a different story from the anime, similar to the revolution

I know they feel sometimes like a disappointment because they don't have the main anime stories, but they are very great games.
Bypassing them is a mistake and a loss for any fan.
It's funny because Storm 4 came out before the anime caught up so I actually experienced the ending through Storm 4. Tbh it was actually much better, much more cinematic and dynamic.

So far naruto storm games is ahead of anime usually game happens before actual anime showdown or arc but manga that’s a different story and with storm 5 we most likely will be doing Boruto timeline story since we have finally been able to see borutos real story

That's instantly what I thought as soon as I seen the title I knew what they were doing and I'm not mad because I know Storm 5 is coming The CEO of cyberconnect 2 already said that they have a boruto game in the works and it's not storm you can look up the interview for yourself it's on TH-cam and it has been up for about 3-5 years. I would agree with this. But it isn't completely anecdotally true. Storm 4 was released several months before the anime finished. Storm 4 came out in Feb 2016. But the anime didn't conclude to the manga equivalent until October 2016.
Yes, that's why they had to create their own interpretation of the last fight of naruto against sasuke which differed a lot from the anime one.
I remind you that the video games are adaptations of the original work which is the manga by Masashi kishimoto, they are not adaptation of the anime.
When I said that they have to not go beyond the anime events to avoid spoilers, I didn't mean they have to wait for the whole events that are covered in the game to be adapted in the anime first so that they can release the game. Or else a loss of interest can happen in the fan community which can influence the sales negatively. The game has to be somewhat trendy, and the marketing team does that by releasing the game early so that it reaches the people in the right time. or else it will look outdated from marketing perspective. Not all people are waiting everyday for the game to be released, in fact the majority of sales doesn't come from the hardcore fans.
If most of the events were broadcasted than it's an enough condition for the game to be released.
Storm 3 had the same case, it was released in march 2013 in north america (and in April of the same year in Japan) while the anime still didn't even show the real madara yet, let alone the fight of the five Kage vs madara or naruto becoming friend with Kurama against tobi and the 5 tailed beasts that were under his control, although these were fights and story events that were integrated in the game (storm 3).
In fact, some analyzer of the market claimed that the main reason for why storm 4 had less first week sales than storm 3, was because the manga was already finished in 2014 in Japan, so fans that followed the manga serialization started losing interest in a video game adaptation. They pushed the game a lot if you think I about it.

Actually Storm 1-4 is basically the journey of naruto and connected to manga the Generations is some flashback story but not like the previous games Revolution is a non canon story and not related to manga but the brandnew connections is not the 5th installation of storm series you can only choose what story you want and the story is non canon too

Some tilts are in the game as second Jutsus. But a lot of the good tilts are gone. So I hope they re add them.
I wouldn't mind them making a storm 5 that extensively covers a large portion of boruto but rn connections is exactly what I wanted from the next release of a storm game post storm 4 and that's to have a re telling of the story from naruto through shippuden then to boruto which I assume will be only like up to baryon mode naruto

This game makes sense for people who don’t own storm 4. Otherwise the price isn’t justified. I honestly would rather wait for Storm 5.
I don’t think there will be a Storm 5 simply because DLC is the name of the game now. It used to be they could get away with a new game every 2 years to add new characters and new story battles. But with DLC, we’ve already seen with Storm 4 that they can go 7 years without coming out with a new game just off DLC alone. Connections will be the main game for years to come, there will not be a Storm 5, at least not for many years.

@@Zrobb Cyber Connect 2 doesn't own the naruto storm series. It is bandai Namco games that owns the license. Cyber connect 2 is just a video game development studio that has no decision on whether there will be a sequel or not.
They never said that they are not willing to develop more storm games, in fact in a video in their youtube channel "Q&A with hiroshi episode 12", it was said that it's up to Bandai Namco.
If you think about it, from commercial and marketing perspectives, it makes no sense that they won't make a sequel that has "storm" name in its title since it's so successful. Boruto survived more than 200 episodes and a lot of people liked it too.

I mean if you asked the old me, I would have trashed it since these in-between sequels tend to be less packed comparing the main ones, specially at story level. I had big feeling of disappointment when storm revolution came out. This time they are trying to bring a new story mode which seems dense with new characters, but i really like it so far.
