Any hate towards the film is valid thanks to the lead actor's past in ruining Sarah Hyland's life when they were dating. Thank goodness that she's doing better today. The guy can rot.
I think you've at least partially gotten your wish. Dude pretty much rightfully disappeared from show biz since Hyland got that restraining order out on him.
@@AngelisaHassan Yeah. Really loved this movie. Sometimes I really wanna rewatch it, but then I remember the IRL stuff and even tho the movie is just a movie I just can't bring myself too >.> it's a shame
This movie is cute until you remember that the two leads were in a long term relationship in which he was very abusive to her, to the point of a restraining order.
geek charming is a classic thooo there was good chemistry there bc the leads dated irl, and sarah did such good acting it felt natural 😭 i love how not self aware her character was
I can't watch this movie without thinking abt how poor Sarah Hyland was abused by Josh's actor during their relationship. Also they can't convince me that Sasha Pieterse is a nerd and not the HBIC
@@carternoblelivehey man, I was walking in Target a while ago, my hair was really long and I’m a ginger, and this random girl about my age (I was 16) compared me to Ron Weasley. I came home from that coming of age shopping trip and questioned my WHOLE life. I never thought he was attractive and I was in my “ugly era”.
While I don’t think popularity was as blatant in my high school as in this movie, I think there were both intangible and concrete ways of telling. The concrete ways were if you were voted for anything for homecoming or prom court or for yearbook personalities. Also, were you invited to parties or hangouts. Did people ask you out or to dances? Did people try to hang out with you at your locker or after school or at club meetings. A lot of high schoolers follow herd mentality so they never leave the small confines of their little social group to meet others. Even in a small town, there people I’d know since 3rd grade that I’d never had a real conversation with.
I understand what your saying. The people that would be voted prom king/queen tended to be people who were involved in different groups like marching band or volleyball. Basically, they had their grubby little fingers in more groups of people than the average student.
Ok when I saw this when it first came out and Amy said “and then an elephant joined in on the drums” I thought she was being serious ngl! I was much younger when this movie came out and that line just came across so casually that I couldn’t even tell she wasn’t serious.
Funniest thing here is that’s if BOTH got their way and achieved their dreams the female lead would end up probably willing to sleep with the guy for a role in one of his movies 😂

No, the movie is one of the good D-COMS. I will stand by it. However, yeah, knowing the background it makes it too dark.

Can't believe I didn't realize Amy and Alison DiLaurentis were played by the same person. That's wild.

Unfortunately, it turns out that the guy was abusing her. She had to get a restraining order

"Those are the film geeks. They're gross and yucky" 😂
Who played the Principal dude that says, "What about a human subject" around 4:30 mark? He sounds/almost looks like a younger David Tennant.
Jesus, all that effort and editing, and you don't even have 1000 subscribers? You deserve more. Here's hoping you get more attention in the future.

Bro
Thank you, Freddy from iCarly
I have never got that comparison before and I don't know how to feel
The way I had to scroll back up and then laughed because it's like if Freddy had a younger 'Irish Twin' brother- I love it!

This was actually a well made D-COM. It was a rarerity. It is so underrated.
this used to be one of my favourites... until i found out about how sarah hyland was treated by josh's actor when they dated
Hey, this movie was amazing and underrated so I HEAVILLY disagree.
They made a book out of that Yeah, get the book.

Hasn’t any noticed they would play the movie frenemies before this one and then they would play this one I have never seen this movie play alone
Good video. Audio could be improved a little. It's a tad on the quiet side.
Im so glad a video like this has been made for this movie lol
I have never seen this movie but knowing Matt whatshisface dated Sarah in real life and was abusive towards her makes me never want to watch it.
Thank you algorithm!
