Bus journey reminded me of a school trip, told where to sit, raining and crap packed lunch. Looking forward to your stay in Phuket. You have been really fortunate with your accommodation choices, all have been more or less good.
Thank you, the Thai’s are funny with their organisation but I roll with it always with a smile. I’m only in Phuket for a couple of days and coming back in low season. There are vlogs in my playlist though from last year here.

That bus you got on towards your main bus could be a 4th class bus, with 1st class prices! 60 Baht! 😲
It's so cool that you are heading to Phuket, but nowhere to stay tonight- ahh the freedom of the life you lead now - I am jealous for sure ☺️
Allocated seats on the big bus, but more seats than people! Surely you can sit where you want until they pick up more passengers on the way.
Kid's lunch box pack for the journey with milk and cookies at that bus terminal - that's a bit of a difference from everywhere else you go.

The bus did quickly fill up as we headed further South but the Thai’s are so regulated it’s crazy and funny at the same time🤣

Never been and have no wish to visit Phuket.
Currently in Phitsanulok after 2 nights in Lopburi.
You'd love it here, markets galore.
I just walk past them. I am 100% seen one seen them all.
8 hour train ride back to Bangkok Friday, but only because the 5 hour journey was full.
Love watching other people travel, hate doing it myself
Hi Tim, I will definitely be visiting both places in the future mate. Travelling can be a chore at times but I do love the 3rd class trains, buses are so boring.
That was a long day ....
It was mate, Thailand is so big and I was on a mission to see friends. I usually like to take it easy between destinations to show you as much as possible. The rural areas are where my heart is🇹🇭

Still, in the UK you might have to do it in the rain.

I,ve stayed in old town for a couple of nights, box room hotel about 6/800 bht, (years ago) very quiet around there, and in kamala beach at coconut resort for 2/3 nights in nov 22, nice place next to the pond restaurant but 2500 bht p/night (got him down a bit) 2200 bht but worth it for the location, weathers a lottery down south in november at least, big storms makes island hopping interesting ,.

Hey mate, how do you go about getting cash without too much chargo, I m guessing you don't carry a big wad as you stay in hosteia and I don't think it would be super safe. Would love a heads up as I have plans going forward to travel Thailand and beyond in a similar fashion, I've dy the 1 month stints witya few quid and nici hotels, wanting to semi retire and travel on a budget, that's why I ask. Get yourself a wise card. They are very popular at the moment. Stack it up and use it to buy things.

Don't worry too much about your 60 baht, the Thai lady's have to put up with a lot more than a bus ride for 60 baht and your accommodation price will more than stack up when compared to UK. Thailand is one of the cheapest places around.
That depends on where you go now. It's become so " trendy " that prices are shooting up. Away from the tourist traps still great value.
Definitely mate, it is very cheap here in comparison to the UK it’s crazy.

@ParkinsonRaw for sure! Thai people get by on peanuts while most visitors can more than afford Thai prices. I live on Gold Coast Australia, and it's $150AUD /3500baht minimum week days for an average room. Thailand is good value
