You help heal my inner child. I didn't get treated well as a child and was always made to feel like a burden instead of a blessing. I think when I have kids and can treat them the way you treat yours, it will be very theraputic for me. Obviously not the reason I would have kids, but it would be a bonus.

The slice of bread is a great tip. I keep my brown sugar in a Ziploc bag in the freezer of my fridge. When I need it I just break off a chunk and it works well for me but I don’t go through as much brown sugar as other people.

I'm with Zoey on the vanilla oreos! I know its been said a thousand times but I personally want to thank you for recognizing and validating each child's food preferences. When my now 30 year old kiddo was about 8 we went to eat. He likes everything plain. Absolutely plain. So he ordered a plain burger, just meat and bun and fries. The waiter asked if he wanted cheese and he politely told him no thank you just meat and bun. So they bring his food and give him a bottle of ketchup for the fries. He again told the waiter very politely that he didn't want the ketchup. Waiter says every little boy likes ketchup. Kiddo says not this one. Dessert time comes around and you guessed it. Kiddo asks for a bowl of plain vanilla ice cream. Waiter tries to get him to get whipped cream. Kiddo says no thank you. Waiter says what about hot fudge. Kiddo says no thank you just plain ice cream. Waiter says how about sprinkles? My kiddo who has been nothing but patient and polite the whole evening lost it. He slammed his little hands on the table looks that waiter straight in the eyes and said, "Look Mister! What part of plain don't you understand??!!" Waiter was shocked and apologized. When he walked off my son thought he was going to be in trouble but I was kinda proud. Lol
Turns out his pediatrician said he has the biggest taste buds she'd ever seen and that's why he was particular about his food. He tastes things that others don't.
My point is I love your philosophy of food is comfort and fed is best. And when give your little pep talk at the end of your videos it really picks me up.
YOU are amazing and I'm so proud of you.

just a note, dont throw away hardened brown sugar there are a few ways to re-moisten it. If you don't need it immediately, and if it's hard, place a few apple slices (or a slice of bread) in an air-tight container with the brown sugar. Then remove the apple slices or bread when the sugar has softened. You can also place the brown sugar in a bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it sit overnight. By the time you need to cook with the sugar, it should be a perfect consistency for measuring it out. If you've decided that you just have to make some cookies that call for brown sugar right this minute, or you want brown sugar to sweeten your oatmeal, place the brown sugar in a microwave-safe bowl and cover it with a damp paper towel. Microwave the sugar in 20-second increments until it is soft. You can use your fingers or a fork to soften any clumps that remain. When it's done, the sugar will be hot so be sure to handle it carefully.

I was telling my daughter about your family and how you make it a necessity to have all the kids favorite foods on hand. She told me about her friend who recently adopted. The friend said food had been the biggest challenge in the child settling in. The child actually goes to food (?) therapy. as a 20 year old that has had acid reflux since i was 11-12, i really really appreciate how attentive you are to know what james’ safe foods are when a flare up comes around. i have constantly had to just suffer through the pain of not having comfort foods around me all the time that didn’t hurt my stomach/throat. it’s really hard when sometimes even the smallest things about a certain food bothers my stomach but it feels like i can’t go any more bland than that. things like yogurt doesn’t seem like something that would cause a flare up but when it goes down, it’s bothersome. it usually causes me heartburn even with no flare up & it sucks so much when you enjoy foods you can’t have. i appreciate how much you preach that food is comfort because it truly is. we all have to enjoy what we’re consuming on a day to day, if not it’s no fun & can cause a lot of issues as it has for me. i found you on tiktok a while back & i haven’t been on it in so long but somehow my youtube recommended me right back to you & im so happy it did. i feel so comforted by watching your videos as i wish i could’ve had a stable home life that you offer to your babies. thank you for being so amazing & sharing your life with us!

Growing up in the 1960’s very few homes kept snack foods of today. You ate fruit, veg, a sandwich. I’m sure it was partly money but mostly those foods were not considered nutritious. They were special for holidays or birthdays. Once we were teens we were allowed to spend our own money on “junk” foods. Dessert was rare also. It was usually a pudding made with milk or jello (made with a beef broth). Basically, a serving of protein.

It may have been that your Mom was on a tight budget and knew she was only able to buy certain things. Out of paw patrol soup & he won't eat princess? Seriously? I mean, I'm sorry but that's spoiled rotten. Life isn't always that easy for people. Some would just be thankful to have a can of soup. Problem is that the government is giving so much to people who simply waste it on nonsense. If it would be used more cautiously, there would be more to give to others. Our seniors in America get nothing, while other people are being enabled to waste what they get.

So I started at the beginning of your uploads and have been watching them in order posted. I wanted to share something that happened or rather that I noticed/recognized today.
I don't have any type of diagnoses or any mental health challenges. I'm just a regular ole wife, teacher, and mother of one. It's getting closer to school starting back, my daughter is about to move away to college for the first time in a month, and our hot water heater sprung a leak this week. I recognized that I was feeling stressed and anxious today. I even told my husband that I needed to get my mind on something else. I picked up my phone and watched this video. By the time it was over I could physically feel that my body had relaxed, and my mind was less anxious. Making these videos for people is not nothing. The amount of people that you guys help and touch is a significant thing. And you think you're just shopping...

They just need two people to go home with you to help put things away! LOL!!
To all you who go grocery shopping, Something I've been doing every time I go to the grocery store, since the big "C" pandemic hit, is I tell the workers I come across, who are stocking shelves, manning the deli, bakery, pharmacy, etc, , along with the cashiers and those who bag my groceries, and those who gather the carts, that I appreciate them and I thank them for coming to work! If it weren't for these dedicated employees, who worked through the unknowns of the big "C" pandemic, so we could get food to feed our families, many more families would have suffered from hunger! Too many businesses have had to close, because their employees got paid more to stay home! Our grocery store employees deserve a thanks for all you do! Try it, it'll make you feel great to be thankful!
BTW. Same goes for those who worked in hospitals, right down to the custodians and food service. Many medical professionals worked without proper protection, and they really didn't have a choice. Then, after all their sacrifice, our government paid them back by mandating vaccines, then leaving it to the healthcare systems to decide, but dangled a huge incentive for those who forced those same dedicated workers to get a vaccine they didn't want, for whatever reason! Next time you go into a hospital, even to visit, try thanking these selfless wonderful people, who took care of the sickest of Americans, and continue to do so!
We are not what were being portrayed as. This family demonstrates the love for those who, through no fault of their own, are away from their birth family, without considering for one second, the color of their skin! Americans do not hate like they're trying to say we do. They are trying to divide us. Just show kindness and love, without judgement. God Bless America and keep her safe from harm!
