M.Ceysson many thanks for telling the World that an instrument is only a means to express oneself. Many people want to learn an instrument...you actually learn a music genre that you like and you do the best to express yourself fully...you establish an emotional connection with an audience. It is in a way what your Sully Prudhomme did for French poetry.
The Modes that originated in Anatolia(Phrygian, Lydian, Aeolian...)were developed on the harp...the Ancient theory was developed around the fingering of the harp. It is strange that only the Irish retain some if the modal music on their lever harp. We should experiment with different microtonal tunings to bring back the ancient knowledge. They re trying this in Greece these days...
