We need people like this man today. We need to go back to the ways of old, back to burning hearts and fervent prayer. This has blessed me so much.
I agree. I've been praying alone for years. No one wants to pray with me, I think they don't believe it makes a difference.
Father forgive me for not having the dedication and selflessness that I need to dedicate myself to the kind of prayer Brother Ravenhill talks about. I used to be so much more, help us God to put our priorities on what is truly important, holiness, picking up our cross and following Jesus, getting everything in the world out of our lives, and if our church doesn't have a prayer meeting, help us to find brethren and start one.

Leonard is right, revival or not prayer is essential, as Christ said watch and pray the Bible says pray without ceasing. Prayer takes us to a place of pure submission and humility and how much we need that!! Especially nowadays. When we pray with a contrite heart God hears our prayers and He answers, He never leaves us nor forsake us
When you pray from your deepest heart, you can fell it, And you know God heard you,and suddenly your tears running down your cheek,God will touch your soul! God only hears our ❤️ heart, He only communicated from our hearts! I told my daughter, prayers are liked saving in the bank, it there when we need them, don't just pray when you're in trouble, your prayers bank is empty, then it takes time to be heard!

I'm was on the beach one day, I was thinking for all the Billions of people in this world, how God heard or find you when you're crying for Mercy, I saw gravels, I said, I am just liked one of these gravels, and when you're crying for God to come down to save you in whatever the situation, your heart light up sparkling, because God knows your heart, He knows it's you!

We may excuse the spiritual poverty of our preaching in many ways, but the true secret will be found in the lack of urgent prayer for God’s presence in the power of the Holy Spirit. There are preachers innumerable who can deliver masterful sermons after their order; but the effects are short-lived and do not enter as a factor at all into the regions of the spirit where the fearful war between God and Satan, heaven and hell, is being waged because they are not made powerfully militant and spiritually victorious by prayer.
The preachers who gain mighty results for God are the men who have prevailed in their pleadings with God ere venturing to plead with men. The preachers who are the mightiest in their closets with God are the mightiest in their pulpits with men.

Just to look at Leonard ravenhill reminds me of the verse, "..mark the perfect man, & behold THE UPRIGHT, for the end of that man is peace". Only thing is, I am an optimist, but realistically I dont think revival will happen, if what he means by revival [which is an abstract concept really] is entire nations turning to God, in light of the spiritual condition of the modern church. And the bible says, there will be a falling AWAY in the latter days..NOT "revival"!!! ALSO, I seriously do not think that just prayer will bring revival. It has to be a special kind of prayer. By that I mean crying mightily unto God(tho NOT necessarily making a big scene, hollering unto God), and praying genuine repentance unto GOD FOR OUR OWN SINS, ie the sins OF THE CHURCH!

(Isaiah 66: 8; ).....He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.” (Luke 17: 37)…For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live (Romans 8: 13)....Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry (Colossians 3: 3)….So, we see, where there is a person who is dead in flesh behaviors and living in heavenly spirit, then revival happens...So, I pray to Father in heaven to make me that person!!!.....see, our Heavenly Father is in control, & not in human control (Gospel John 3: 27)...Our life is in heavenly control!!!!! ...see, We cannot decide when want to born & and when we want to die.....Amen!!!

Revival will come through great suffering in the western Church and the nations. After the cross is the resurrection. The prayers of men like Ravenhill and Wilkerson are not wasted. They will be answered. PRAYER PRAYER PRAYER..

@@thea2763 @Thea Preaching revival is giving false hope and expectation. Look up the word revival in the Strong's Concordance. It's not there. But the word revive IS there, but it's got nothing to do with what modern christianity today calls revival. So the gospel of revival is a false gospel and is therefore an accursed gospel. I don't care what Ravenhill or anyone else said, Ravenhill was just a man though a man who had God. He had the visage of humility but I think he was a bit too highminded. Those who eulogize Ravenhill and see him as a great man of God will no doubt be offended by me saying this, but God is not pleased when people idolize men.
@@thea2763 As long as I have known since 1976 christians have been praying for and in expectation for revival, but no revival whatsoever... if anything things have got a lot worse and the church is declining and falling away more. Even the church has nearly become totally reprobate with the world. So it's clear that revival won't happen. Sure, when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against him. But this is not talking about revival. Even in China where Christians are under persecution the church is growing. But largely the church even there is very bound to men's traditions and commandments. The church is growing in China simply because Jesus said the gates of hades will not ever be able to prevail against it. But there is little if any revival there, just church growth. Business as usual, just like in the days of Noah, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.
