Surfing is so exhausting and physically tough but people who don’t surf don’t realize it. Your siting on a board after a 5 minute paddle out trying to catch your breath after almsot getting ran over ten times duck diving every 10 seconds getting dragged back every time. When you finnaly get energy again and go on a wave and it closes out it the worst feelings ever. You may ask then why surf? Becuase as soon as you get that one wave your Hooke door 4 more hours until the paddle in hurts. Surfers know what I’m talking about and that one wave is the greatest wave
Yeahhh. Being a surfer watching this I can almost feel it ha ha ha.
is this strand pipes?
I've lived in Strand for 1 year at Vredenhof road.
Im from Brazil and Im blessed for have the chance to live in such a beautiful place like that.
My best moment was surfing a huge swell at bikini beach. Also Kooel bay. and be introduced to the paranoia spot. So gnarly but with perfect waves.
shout out to Frikky from the surf shop natural energy right in front of strand pipes.
still seems like so much fun though! cool stuff :) Here from r/ to support.
Depends on how well you can read the break, sometimes I don't surf for 3 months at a time and then first session back on a fun day I'll get 10-20 bombs in 2 hours and double that in throw away waves. How strong is your connection to the sea, your timing, your commitment, your skill level and obviously stoke to keep getting better?
Absolutely agree! And that’s not something you pick up quickly, you definitely need to get in sync with that particular break
Cold wet sandy wetsuits back on again 🤯😂
Thanks Kale ;)
99% paddling and 1% surfing......it is what it is and always will be
