- It was a busy week! I had more paintings to finish ready to list on my art website, which I was about to announce! I photographed my art and prepared a painting to take to Italy for an exhibition as part of my graduation from The Mastery Program by the Milan Art Institute. I also share the mixed media art process of the magical landscape painting that I chose to take.

Definitely the white frame. I tend to buy art that needs framing, so i choose a frame that compliments the art. I do like a white frame though, brightens up things nicely without taking anything away.
Thank you Emily - yes each piece needs thinking about.
Hi Helen, def the right choice of white frame - it looks perfect! i think that painting is one of my favourites now, it's so dreamy and ethereal like you've just woken up and found yourself in the land of the fae. I love it!
Thank you so much; that is just the feeling I was going for! 😊
Oh yes, love the white frame! In our home, I mostly prefer frameless art. I have art on all our walls (maybe 20 pieces even) and I think only one is truly framed and then a small 4 cluster of botanical prints in the invisible frames. And the one canvas that is framed doesn’t have glass in front of it. Funny, I haven’t thought about it until your question, but I suppose I like my art to live with us vs separated from us, if that makes sense. *Did have my eye on 3 of yours but after seeing this one it’s now up to 4 🥰Are there any concerns about shipping to the States? Or Next time you come this direction, could you bring one and ship from here, or is that a worse idea??
Thank you, that's really interesting to know. I'll have to look up invisible frames, I haven't come across those before. And yes I agree - I don't like glass in front either, so all mine are varnished so glass isn't needed.
It shouldn't be a problem shipping to the states. I've got no plans to cross the pond in the near future, but I'll let you know if that changes and you'd have to give me instructions on how to navigate the American postal system!
Btw I’ve taken a Domestika course recently and the artist uses only acrylic paint markers for her work. She uses mostly Posca and then also some Artistro. They come in many many colors and in varying nib sizes, or so she says ;)
That's clever! I still haven't really used pens in my work.
