No skimpy costumes, no legion of dancers, no pyrotechnics, none of that is needed. Just an artist with an incredible talent (both vocally and musically) doing his thing with a group of talented musicians to back him. Wonderful!

The harmonica player is Mickey Raphael. His day job is as the Harmonica Player for Willie Nelson who he has toured with since 1973. When he’s not playing with Willie, he plays with the best in country and Americana music. He is a most tasteful harmonica player, an instrument that can become quite annoying if played wrong. Mickey never makes that mistake. In addition, he’s a damned nice guy. The two keep him as busy as he wants to be. He still tours extensively, which ain’t bad for a 72 year old.

1st time hearing these tunes and I'm returning to my world of jam sessions by the river, my people and self medicating.
ONLY one who got out of the scene. Stopped using this picks and shit, returned to Uni and relocated 1,500klm for my son and I to have a better life. Born disabled, never wanted to be a Mum but the universe had other plans for me. Special needs kid, hole in heart VSD, physio from birth, OT and speech therapy...A Grade student all the way through and even though I was offered the disability pension and surgery at 23, either way they predicted that I would be wheelchair bound by 40yrs. Worked until 39 and paid my taxes. If I wasn't I was volunteering. Active rural fire fighter on the front line for 4 years, Cub Scout leader etc. Did everything to give my son the life I didn't have.... most can't sit and hear my story and if they've made it to age 10, they deserve a medal. Had a psychotic breakdown 4yrs ago...became that aggressive with people who luckily had noticed the deterioration in my mental health and that I was unwell. Nearly threw punches, but was able to storm away abusing them yet when I got to the door of my unit... I would have a breakdown at inflicting that abuse and pain onto another that I would be racked with shame and guilt and curl up balling my eyes out not understanding why I wasn't in control of myself. Very proud person but lost my pride and locked myself away for the safety of those around me. In my low income unit complex, my son and I are both valued, respected and loved members of our community. To my family...I'm nothing but a detriment to society and should just do the world a favour and do myself in. I was suicidal for 2 years until I found the strength to ring the mental health ward at the hospital. Was being denied access to the medical and mental health services, coved was still big and since covid, those services are focusing on the people who can get back to work and pay their taxes. And the children who will be taxpayers. It's a worldwide pandemic, the world is over populated and those of us who are productive members of society are being denied essential services because...we don't pay taxes. You see it on the news daily, the Elderly, Disabled and especially the Heroes returning from live combat, are turning to self medicating with illegal substances due to being denied services and ignored. How had and now continue to spend my 10.5yrs in this unit complex? I have the life experience and able to influence young people into having a positive and healthy environment for their children. Drug abuse due from trauma etc, I totally understand. But it's not the answer. Started counselling via zoom etc...but to get back out into my community, which we also encourage along with holding activities for the kids in self sufficiency, up and recycling. Those I personally hold along with running the Xmas party each year. The kids of the complex along with new ones who move inare taught that if anything happens, you run to Andrea's place! We are called upon to attend medical emergencies until the required services arrive. Car fires, stabbings, violent DV situations that I do not hesitate to intervene if required. I am also called on when my Elderly and Disabled neighbours require assistance and my son has offered his services to attend to the men if the are in a compromising situation and embarrassed for me to see them that way. He goes in first and then calls me and I assess and assist until emergencies services arrive. I have mediated between family members and medical services when there has been a breakdown in the family and even threatened to call Ryan's Rule on the hospital and if they had sent my neighbour home again that day as they had all week...he would have been dead the next morning. I have lost count on how many lives I have saved along with the assistance of my son. I couldn't be prouder of the young Man he has chosen to be. We as parents can only guide and influence our child/ren until a point of time when they choose to be the person who they choose to be. And unfortunately, I see more and more people living the hardest and most hurtful words that my father said to me. Just because I love You it doesn't mean that I have to like You! There's no community spirit, no family unit and the majority of society value popularity over principles, ego over pride and it's their way or the highway. My son now 27 has been my full-time carer for 11 years because the government feel it's cheaper to rob him of his life than get in the services I require, the NDIS. His opinion was disregarded when I admitted to my Specialists and Doctors that I was self medicating due to being denied services along with pain relief as my disability deteriorates. I was born this way, I have paid my taxes and shouldn't have to validate my medical and mental health issues. Yet because I had returned to drug use, last time I used a needle was 39 years ago and I took ectasy for 6 months 14yrs ago for 6 months to continue to work so I could leave a DV relationship. They sent me to a Drug, Alcohol and Prescription Medication Specialist with 40yrs experience and my big brother came with me. He heard everything including how low my pride was with being forced to make this decision when I do so much in the community and...I'm now associating with the same dealers who I used to chase out of the carpark and the suicide attempts that I have attended to over the years. Why is this drug that I have seen my own cousin OD on and be a drug induced schizophrenic since and been such a detriment to so many people and families who I deal with on a daily basis...allow me to be a prominent member of society and continue the good I do? She told me the psychotic disorder that 2 years later, I'm still fighting for formal diagnosis, management and treatment of. I don't do things by halves ...actually I have 3 lol. But I have to pay out of pocket, it's not covered under Medicare here in Australia so...for what was supposed to be a short term situation has now been 2 years next month. And due to my mental illness and psychotic disorders, my community know as I was dobbed into the younger drug users so I went and admitted it to the older residents before they heard it from someone else. Prominent members of society, a JP, retired teachers, Managers and Church Pastors, all professionals in their fields....and none of Us condone it, but they would prefer Me to be on it that locked away or dead via suicide. It was the darkest and hardest battle of my life and I don't wish it on anyone and to go back there...I would end up doing myself in. My doctors have ignored that Specialists report and my brother who heard everything and asked his own questions, has now used my mental health and use as ammo and told Me that I am unworthy to be acknowledged as family and to do everyone a favour and do myself in. Every person is an individual, We all have our own life stories. I have not mentioned my disorders because I know people who have been diagnosed the same but cannot use the same drug as I do. It is a chemical malfunction of the brain and it is a individual thing and people require different medications and doses etc. I will NOT have my life story used as an excuse for another person to use and abuse their drug/s of choice. I do not encourage it and understand that we are at a stage a victim of the abuse and trauma that pushes us to drugs to numb the pain. But it's a choice as to whether you use it as an excuse or continue to do everything required to get off it and be a Survivor! Human Rights has gone to far and has allowed for the victims of society to abuse the services that I and many others require, to simply be bludgers on society and blame everyone else.
Please, do not be ignorant to the drug user on your corner, you don't know their story.
I am Andrea and I use Meth.

Tomando Fernet un sabado por la noche con mi amor y escuchando de fondo un concierto Chris, aveces no nos damos cuenta que en los detalles mas simple son los que cuentan.
