You make my favorite Affinity Photo tutorials!! You've taught me how to love this software and use it as effectively as possible. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. They're lovely and so well made.
This was really helpful! I’ve been trying to select flowers so I can change the background (often a soft color), and I’ve had an awful time getting nice edges.
Go to the 'Resources' page, link down below on most pages. Here it is: changingminds.org/disciplines/photography/affinity_photo/resources/resources.htm
Thank you so much! Yet another example of how Affinity trumps the competition. Can you tell me if Affinity Photo has an equivalent of the Photoshop selection feature where you control/command + click the layer thumbnail to select it? I used that so much... God bless! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
You can add a live Brightness and Contrast adjustment beforehand and increase contrast to help find edges, then delete the adjustment layer after the refinement.
I enjoyed watching how you use the refine tool! I did not know that it could do so much...your videos...are just fabulous...and so are you! Thankyou!

Great tutorial. Direct and to the point, just like I like it!
Great tutorial. Learned quite a bit about Refine by your going through the sliders and providing examples with them. Thanks for sharing.

I love Affinity!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello. Is it possible to copy the selection itself (ants) from a photo in Affinity Photo to a photo opened in Photoshop or Illustrator?
Try select, copy, switch to PS, paste. If this doesn't work, paste into new image, Document/Clip Canvas, then export to file. Then load into PS.
@@inaffinityforaffinityphoto3220 metoda kopiuk/wklej nie pomogła. Chodzi o document/ clip Canvas w Affinity photo?
Concise, good tutorial 🤓
