I really really don't understand why you don't have a million subscribers. Your videos are simple, loaded with tips and info, practical and practicable, and show off your deep understanding of style. When covid lockdowns happened, and I was retired, I started watching fashion videos and I must admit that I learned a lot from about half a dozen of them. But then, they started getting into haul videos and I despise those. While I understand that a girl has to make a buck, and boxes full of Sezane and LilySilk (they always come in clusters so it's so obvious) might help provide content, not to mention clothing, I'm not into what might look good on a tall, slim woman when I'm a petite hourglass. (I especially despise fast fashion for the way it exploits labour and grows landfills.) Thanks for not doing that and, instead, pointing us to shops and brands and pieces that are keepers. As a lifelong fashionista who, in my working life, was blessed with stylists and make-up artists -- and a stupidly hot shopper, I need somebody to stop me!! -- I have already learned a lot. But then, just when I thought I knew everything, you come along and tell me that my jackets/blazers should hit at the hip and not at the exact top of my jeans. Of course! That's why this or that outfit was just a bit off. So thanks for that. And thanks for what you do. Now, if only I can figure out how not to look like a motorcycle cop when I tuck my skinny jeans or leggings into tall boots no matter if I am wearing a long or short blazer or jacket, in whatever fabric or leather or suede. (Everything is fitted as, like you, oversized is overwhelming for me.) Chunky sweaters are fine but are just not me with my shape, even if they're almost cropped. P.S. My signature scent is soap and aybe shea/vanilla body lotion. I am literally nauseated and headachy around fragrance.
Thank you SO MUCH for this. It means more than you know to get this kind of feedback and know that my content is helpful. I am grateful. I love your perspective and appreciate it. As for the skinny pants in boots, some looks are just not our friends and that is totally ok. I have a long list of those myself!
In college I wore Wind Song by Matchabeli. In my 30s and 40s I wore Poison. Now my signature scent is Truth by Calvin Klein. It's no longer sold in stores but I found a website where one can buy many fragrances no longer available in stores.
My favourite scent for Fall and winter is just a little drop of vanilla aroma oil on the hairline at the back of my neck. I put it on my fingertip to apply. It is a very soft smell, I have been asked many times, „your scent is nice, what is it?“ even by other ladies just waiting in line with me at the supermarket in our village.
Great tips, as always! I have a signature scent for warm weather (lighter) and one for winter (warmer - would be too heavy in summer). Warm weather- DKNY Women Energizing Eau de Parfum and cold weather - Burberry (the original) Eau de Parfum.
Nada, first I'd like to say I love your intro. When I hear it, I know it's Nada.😊 I like the idea of wearing soft material with structured, as I love to look feminine even if I am wearing jeans. My biggest challenge has always been shoes. I know how important you say they are. I have never been a shoe acholic. I can remember a time in my earlier years I probably owned 2 pair. That's how unimportant it was for me. I have more now but the challenge for me is, I have wide, but fairly small feet, usually a 7. And now nothing is comfortable even though I have had bunion surgeries and now 4 months after total knee replacement. I'm glad knee-high boots are back in style so that I can wear them with my skirts. I have 3 pair of them that are just waiting to be worn soon. I love all your tips.
Good advise on eyeglasses. Plastic frames seem to be more on trend. Plus, for those who have a high prescription, plastic frames hide the lenses much better than wire frames.
Optical sales here! The metal or rimless can be very aging. Some can carry them off, but youthful eyes and skin wear them best. Our eyes lose definition as we age, and a thin wire and lens further diffuses definition. No need to go full on Eugene Levy ( although I love that!), however bolder frames whether metal or plastic give us the color, and definition we need. If your tiny, lovely nose bridge doesn't support plastic, go for a bolder metal. If you love subtle metal or rimless, and they are lighter weight which many love, be mindful of where the lens or frame ends under your eye, can be strategic! Also go for a lifted shape up top, and of course get it in a color and style that enhances. I love this topic and glasses!
@@saramaloney6082 thank you so much for your expert insight! I totally agree and think this is a topic that we overlook too often in our quest to look and feel better. Glasses are so important to our overall look.
@NadaManley I am touched you responded! Very overlooked topic you are right. Your expertise, and no nonsense approach has helped me immensely!.. and of course sense of humor. I hear you sometimes when I am getting dressed haha!
@ aww thank you for that! So glad you find my videos helpful and I apologize if I’m in your head when you’re getting dressed. 🤣 very much appreciate you being here.
After years of teaching, where any type of scent was not allowed because of allergies, I have stopped wearing scent. I will need to investigate a new scent. What a fun new mission to look forward to!
Sephora has a fun fragrance sampler with a voucher to exchange for a full sized product once you decide which one you like. I believe it’s a seasonal thing for the holidays so check it out now.
Regarding eyeglass frames, I always wore gold frames because I thought they lightened my dark circles. Last year I ditched them for forest green frames and get so many compliments. I wear green eyeshadow and liner, and my eyes just pop. I'm a vivid Autumn and have a lot of green in my wardrobe.
Thanks for the comment! It doesn't have to be big and chunky, but in my opinion, our eyes deserve a frame. Wire frame glasses are a classic trick that costume designers use to age an actress.
My signature scent is Eilish by Billie Eilish. I’m not a fan of her music but the scent is divine. My husband has an issue with many scents, so I’ve had to find one he could tolerate in small amounts.
Great video topic! I’ll try to guess: Monochrome: all cream, cords, cashmere cardigan, silk blouse, leather loafer, leather bag, metal accessories ( gold?). Texture variation used more often. Matchy: black pants, red and black print top , all red ( to match top) accessories ( shoes/ bag/ earrings/ necklace) texture variation lower, using dots of color around body.( eye moves to all the dots of red, visually more distracting) ????
Great Question! So wearing all one color is monochrome and NEVER goes out of style. Matchy matchy is when you use one motif/color throughout an outfit in 3 or more places. That goes in and out of style. :) I hope that helps. I might have to talk about this in a video!
My signature scent is Philosophy: Rose Ballet 🩰. It’s so lovely and it lasts a long time. I love to come back to a shirt that was sprayed days ago and catching the scent. It gets better with time.

Fabulous Nada, thank you for another brilliant video, I am constantly learning from you, your advice is the best
I love, love your beautiful denim dress ❤
Thank you so much! It's the softest denim too!
Serious question: must we have ONE signature scent? I truly love fragrance and wear different ones all the time.
No! You can have many! But I think scent is important!
Signature scent… Dolce Gabbana - Light Blue
What type of jean would would you wear a chunky loafer with?
Signature scent is Cartier La Panthere. I should remember to wear it more often!
Yes! I even wear mine to bed!
Great advice!
It’s the narrow wire frame that disappears and showcases the eyes. The big chunky frame screams instead of whispering.
Thanks for the comment! It doesn't have to be big and chunky, but in my opinion, our eyes deserve a frame. Wire frame glasses are a classic trick that costume designers use to age an actress.
Plastic frames leave indentations on my nose and/or tops of my cheeks. Are there any brands that are lighter weight?

?? What’s the difference between monochromatic and matchy matchy ???
Good question
Great video topic!
I’ll try to guess:
Monochrome: all cream, cords, cashmere cardigan, silk blouse, leather loafer, leather bag, metal accessories ( gold?). Texture variation used more often.
Matchy: black pants, red and black print top , all red ( to match top) accessories ( shoes/ bag/ earrings/ necklace) texture variation lower, using dots of color around body.( eye moves to all the dots of red, visually more distracting)
????
@@eileenternullo8077 great explanation
Great Question! So wearing all one color is monochrome and NEVER goes out of style. Matchy matchy is when you use one motif/color throughout an outfit in 3 or more places. That goes in and out of style. :) I hope that helps. I might have to talk about this in a video!
