I really love Autumn and Winter photography. I especially like taking my camera and lenses when I go camping.. or just exploring (urban/nature).
I've come to appreciate the weather sealing I get when I combine weather-sealed lenses with a weather-sealed body. Is it necessary for my enjoyment of photography? No!
But it offers a little extra peace of mind.. as I like shooting in ugly weather. Rain, snow, -20 Celsius, snowstorms, humid weather, etc... I honestly don't want to feel like my "worry about my camera" would keep me from taking the photos I want. I've often had my camera in such heavy rain or snow, that it is literally dripping wet. Never had a single worry!
In winter, going in and out of a heated environment, like heated car/home.. to a -10 or -20 degrees weather, condensation will build up within a few minutes only.
With weather-sealing, I am at least happy that it only affects the OUTSIDE of the lens. When I get home and let the equipment reach a room temperature, I do not have ANY sign of condensation. inside the body, or the inside part of the lens.
I like the fact that it gives me that extra comfort that my equipment will be in a good condition longer than if it wasn't weather-sealed. I tend to keep my things a long time. I don't care to change my camera every few years.

What about snow environment? I 'm living at germany and i'm gonna see show for the first time in a few months. I want take a few photos and I was thinking about buying a Canon R10, but i'm afraid of weather related issues.

I have the same concern. I am in the US and we are going into my favorite seasons (autumn/winter). I also have a job that has me all over the country from day to day (I could cross 3 states in a day... a really long day, but still a day). The Canon R10 is the one I'm looking at, and the lack of weather sealing is a concern, but I aim to baby the first "real" camera I buy (I've had "point and shoot" cameras before).

I have a weather sealed body and lenses and here in Germany I can get very cheap insurance for all my electronic devices including my camera gear. Therefore every kind of damage, self inflicted or not, is covered and I can feel save not babying my gear.
