    1. Since musket have 2.0x crit multiplier full resilient then reduce this crit dmg only by 24%
    2. Refreshing Ward for tank Players in wars is must have your defiant stance cooldown just going down in second and it also work when shield blocking.
    Thx for calc and video Mr Morrolan.

    • @elmhurstenglish5938
      @elmhurstenglish5938 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What? Musket doesn't have a 2x crit multiplier (it has a 2% crit chance, and 1.3x crit multiplier). Unless you're stacking Vorpal (0.14), Sniper (0.15), and Hit Your Mark (up to 0.15) and assuming that you're only hitting hs at more than 100m - then you'll be at 1.74x crit multiplier.
      Full resilience + con perk gives 34% crit reduction, so even in this situational perspective above, you'll take around 1.14x damage on crit.

    Id like to see the comparison of the damage increase you gain from the extra perk/attributes on 600 GS minus the scaling. If I had to guess I'd say it still ends up being more damage with 600 GS wep. Also Id say when starting to gear get resil first, then try to get pieces with your build perk + resil to upgrade voidbent.

    I dunno im a fresh level 60 and i use the 490 pvp gear. I do pretty good in wars for being a noob. The refresh cooldown stacking + crit reduce damage is pretty nice. Plus after you have a whole suit of pvp gear you can use the class tokens to change the stats in case you wanna switch to different mainstat so its GREAT for experimenting. I use medium armor so I will definitely strive for 600 gs for the extra 6% but that lowbie pvp armor is still worth it as a starter, at least for me.
    Thanks for all the maths.

    I wish you had also covered a little into the new perks that were added to physical/elemental reduction.
    While freedom and resilient may be best in slot in some cases, i think these new perks also have a place in this formula.
    if im right they would go into the same section as fortify/rend, which is good because that would mean that it would be possible to create a build with 40% damage reduction to both physical and elemental damages (before any balm or dust)
    Also can you clarify the max value of rend, for example i believe the game has 50% is max rend, but then there is also 15% that can come from the VG version degenerate making the total 65%

    base crit rate of any hero is 10%, so weapon+perks+ring perks+ skill abilities ... thats the reason why crit more often than it's should be. not all know about this 10%. Great video,thx for a work!

      Source of this 10% base crit rate?

    • @joshuasmith1597
      @joshuasmith1597 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Having extensively tested crit rate I can tell you that the base crit chance of a completely naked no stat applied character is 2%. Thousands of punches and kicks math out to 2% crit rate. The crit rate gets really confusing when you start adding weapons and individual skills. The short version is you are getting roughly 1.5x more crit than what is on paper

    • @wellplay7637
      @wellplay7637 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fatalisarx931 just some video on youtube, it was on russian, and in patch before 1.2 So may be AGS decrease of this base crit amount to 2% like @joshua smith saids. may be some another bug. Like base crit stil 10%, but for some reason it's looks like 2% on naked hero and works correctly like 10%+weapon+ring on equiped. Idk, i didn't test it.

    • @fatalisarx931
      @fatalisarx931 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tested this out, and yes we still do have around 10% base crit chance in patch 1.3. What I found more important is that, keen perk on weapon is also bugged! I tested out 2 weapons tyes so far, and its around 20. But maybe someone else can double check this to verify my finding.

    Question: with the scaling, is my mitigation influenced by my whole gear score or just the GS from my armor? If using jewelery or weapons of lower GS would that influence my mitigation against a GS 600 weapon user?

    • @Kuratius
      @Kuratius 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Technically the gs of your armor isn't directly involved in the scaling anymore, so just use whatever pieces give the most armor regardless of gearscore.
      It's just that all else being equal, a higher gs piece will always give more armor.

    Just a thought and I really hope you see this because probably only you’re capable of doing this testing.
    We always talk about BIS gear but it’s actually always about pvp. What about BIS for pve? Does resilient work for pve; do mobs deal critical damage? BIS for pve are perk enhancement, luck, and resilient; assuming resilience applies here because mobs do critical damage? (We don’t know if pve has crit dmg)

    • @MorrolanTV
      @MorrolanTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mobs can crit if they hit you in the back but otherwise it's not much of an issue. I would go for "Ward" type perks, luck if you think it actually works, and cooldown reduction for PvE

    Hello, thank you very much for the pretty instructive video with a lot of preparation. I got a question. I'm 22.9 middle armored Hatchet and Spear player. I really love my build. All my PVP gears are +590 GS(upgraded them to +619) Epic items. 3/5 pieces have skill perks with Resilient, 1/5 has CDR(Refreshing Evasion) and Resilient. The remaining piece is gonna have skill perk too. Should I combine this with Resilient or Refreshing Evasion? If I pick Resilient, it will be full Resilient with 1/5 CDR. Otherwise, 4/5 Resilient and 2/5 CDR. I'm dodging a lot and love that Refreshing Evasion. But Resilient is essential too. I'm having hard time to decide which is better in general..

    Hello ! You did not mention Physical and Elemental Aversion perks. These are potentially very good perks for builds that are scared off muskets and bow specificly.
    I know you guys love to do testes so maybe you could dive deeper in this topic, I'm curious to know how these perk works. Especially I'm curious to know if the Physical Aversion perk reduce Musket standards shot, EVEN if the musket is playing with elemental conversion gem. It is possible that this perk reduce the full shot beside it being half physical/elemental.
    As a musket myself my biggest threat in PvP are other muskets/bow and I'm looking toward building around countering these dude, so that I win the musket game and it makes a significant difference in wars when your army have 5 musket alive free to hit enemies healers while enemy army have dead musketers.

I keep using your guides for building my kits and they keep changing GS scaling each patch which is a real shame since this level of testing obviously takes a lot of time to be obsoleted in less than a month

      I don't think they're actually changing it again, the patch notes are just disorganized

    Do you happen to know the difference between light, medium, and heavy dodge speed (in seconds). I know the invulnerability frames are the same, but wondering about how long the dodge actually takes before you can actually attack/move.

    20:23 Morrolan but what about Vigor and Invigorated? Aren't those crucial too?

    Do you by chance know what the crit chance is? Does it make keen less valuable and you should go for vicious or KEmpowered instead? Should you not use a keen ring?

      No one has solved the crit formula yet, we just know it's a flat 10+ percent higher than it should be. Vicious is probably better than keen but it really depends on what other crit effects you have. Keen ring is mandatory for most dps builds

    One question about resilient perk after patch 1.2. Since now the crit increases are additive, does resilient treated as part of the addition? (for example, 1.3x crit with 10% resilient results 1.2x crit, and then multiple with 1 - damage mitigation)

    What do you think will be better between an 625 with refresh and the perk you need and a 599 with resilient and the perk you need?

    Thank you! Much love! Some feedback; You are missing the new Physical / Elemental Aversion. For damage reduction these are BiS after Resilient especially in OPR. I want all my non ability perk to be either Resilient/Freedom or Resilient/Physical Aversion…. Secondly, for the recommend of Refreshing Evasion i disagree. Because of two major things; 1. It does not count double dodge. You MUST exit the animation. And i THINK it only works on the active cooldowns - meaning on the actual active ability bar. You need to dodge ALOT to make up the ground to basic Refresh. With that said - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I have been waiting for someone to calculate this!!!

      ive found the same things about refreshing evasion, doesnt apply to both weaps and is inconsistant, could be viable on some weapons with high cooldowns and medium armor and its still not a bad perk. For physical aversion. they are okay. it only affecting regular attacks, ive tested physical aversion vs musket user with a elemental gem and it doesnt reduce the dmg of the elmental portion. i would personaly still rather have resil+ either freedom or refreshing than the aversions, and if u rly want to try em out, i think the magical one is beter, helps against 50% of musket dmg(ele gem) and everyone runs onyxes or diamonds still, heavy attacks from fire staff are its strongest attack, not the skills, sorta similar with ice gauntlet always trying to land heavies on you to stun, however ice spike wont get reduced and will still oneshot anyone

      Not bis because it's very situative. Because it's only against ranged.

      The aversion is not bis lol

      Aversion is kinda decent if you have a musket spammy OPR meta but ultimately it's just not that broadly useful. Resilient, freedom, and CDR are all going to consistently make a difference between winning and losing in a large number of scenarios
