      I’ve only made them once what recipes do you recommend I don’t have a weigher thingy so I can’t really use your recipe fully unless you put up measurements;) I love your videos and your hair is awesome!!! How do you make it so that it’s not soo frizzy you must be very magical!!:)

      If I halve your recipe would the timing and macaronage be the same?

    Agreed on not seeing over whipping! Would love to see a broken/over whipped meringue!

      Would be nice to see what they look like if we make these mistakes so we know which mistakes we make.

      The over whipped usually shows in the shells being fragile. They look perfect but they aren’t.

    I just wanted to stop by and say thank you. I tried your beginners recipe this afternoon and got it right on the first try. Even cookies, nice foot, no cracks. It was perfect. Wish I could show pictures. I'm going to try again tomorrow with colours and see if it comes out just as great.

    The first few batches I made I was like "I don't want them to mature in the fridge, I want them now". What a mistake! After only a couple of hours in the fridge and they taste great and the texture is incredible so definitely a mandatory step!

    Please Michelle answer❤️❤️
    1-Can I use ground almonds at home using a really good food processor instead of almond flour as it is NEVER available in Egypt
    2- Can I use your same exact number of folds and the same minutes with egg whites when doing the 25 macarons recipe??

    Thank you for clarifying the hollow shells issue 🙊 I doubted the maturation process at first. When I tasted the macs straight out the oven they would be hollow and average tasting but when I stored them in the fridge for hours and gave them out to friends they absolutely LOVED them .. I thought that was odd LOL but now I realize that maturation is important!!!

    How much time does it take to rest? to be able to put for baking?? Mine cracked on top. Like all of them. I dont know why i literally let them rest for 45 min. Im confusion xD

    Thanks for another great video! I'm still getting hollows! UGH! Not as bad as in the beginning but still too hollow after maturing. At some later video can you please explain the baking process as far as how/when the oven heat affects the rise, and the setting of the final mac. For example - does the mac rise a lot in the beginning of the bake ( when feet are formed) then fall toward the end to result in a full mac? Or what is the correct progression. Some people that get full macs right off the rip (out of the oven) say something about the macs "setting" during the bake. Hope this makes sense. I'm definitely thinking this is an oven temp issue and wondering if I need to turn increase temp in beginning and decrease at some point later. Sorry to be such a nerdy dork!

      I don’t think you released enough air, that’s what causes hollows

    I have made macarons so many times but the other day I had a problem with cracking they had a skin but I did it use these paper thin mats and I think that was my problem.
    Michelle have you ever tried Pieree Herme’ macarons before I mean doing his method?

  • @celaena7876

    Do u have a video about how long to let it rest? And how it should feel or look like when its ready to go into the oven? I feel like i am resting it too long

  • @ufaalvaro

    Oven thermometer is a must for home oven. The oven setting doesn't show the correct temperature. That's why my macaron always hollow before.

    There are chunks of almonds in our almond flour and it’s impossible for us to sift it all!? What do you recommend

    • @maryloureid2007
      @maryloureid2007 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should I use a food processor and you said not too long what is the proper time

    • @burrrne
      @burrrne 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MaryLou Reid , I sift once first, then food process the remaining clumps for about 20 seconds. Then sift the flour you processed into the first batch. That’s all the food processing necessary. Then just sift twice more, each time discarding the remaining clumps. By this point they will be minimal and won’t negatively affect the proportion of flour to the other ingredients.
      Alternatively, ensure your flour is not too oily (usually seen in older flour or towards the bottom of the bag because it sat longer and has had the weight of the rest of the flour on top of it.)
      Just my opinion. Hope it helps.
