Fresh roe will last 3 days in the colder part of a fridge.. I generally freeze my supply in small quantities, right away after bringing it home, Then I take it out the day before to thaw in the fridge slowly. Even 5 years in the freezer and it comes out perfect that way. Then I tie my bags for the day. If I have any left at the end of the day I refreeze the bags for another tie. Keep 'em as cold as possible before and after using, like on ice in a cooler.
Hi there, Would you be able to give me some pointers on how I should water harden? Same river water I caught the fish in? How Long do you put eggs in say a bag of the river water for? And should i drain all the water or leave some in the bag? Thx man! U got some of the best vids - PERIOD!
Same river, I use a mess bag for good water flow through the eggs. Tie to a tree branch over hanging the river and leave in the water 30 minutes or so.

That last one stayed on better than some of my hooksets! I love these videos and uncured is the way to go
