General Maphwanya, you have my respect. Continue leading from the front. The support you have offered the Late General's Family is highly noticed. This happens to be the way to go. Please do the same to even the Junior Staff and Officers. Is all about Leadership. Salute General!
Just heard of his passing. Not yet listened to the speakers. I vividly remember my encounters with him at Mthatha Airport when Madiba was not well. He would religiously pop-in for coffee at Coffi Jazz Cafè. He was extra ordinarily quiet: ecamngca (in deep thoughts) of the task of taking and ensuring Madibas recovery. With time one could feel that he couldn't be disturbed with small talk as Madiba's health detoriated - A Man - of - Service. Prayers. We Salute His Legacy.
May his soul rest in peace. He was a wonderful doctor, very good in his work,I worked with him in UGH before he went to work in the Military Hospital in Pretoria. It's sad to hear about his passing away. May the Lord comfort his family, the 2 sisters that I know personally whom worked with in the same hosp. May the Lord comfort and strengthen the rest of the family. He was their pride and joy.Greetings from the United Kingdom.
I remember fondly the moment after his change of command parade when he insisted he wants to address the parade participants after all the formalities were concluded....and we just gathered around and he made a heartfelt informal speech thanking all of us for giving him a beautiful send-off into retirement. He was so happy he couldn't contain himself. Ah man😢 Rest in eternal peace my General.
Watching these speakers and program director portrayed a picture in me as if I knew him that's how good all the speakers were, Chief SANDF a good story teller and a bit comic at times, death be not proud.
