Kinda feel bad for lady Chun. The double pronged attack by Hailan and lady Jia she never stood a chance. She didn't even know what hit her.
Chun deserved it. It's weird to me how so many people excuse her neglect of yonghuang. She wanted the status of raising the eldest son but deliberately neglected him, while also not wanting to let Ruyi have him back. Luckily for her Ruyi never tried getting him back, but if she had, Chun would have fought for the kid she still neglected. And all for the sake of her own son. I get caring more about your kid but if she didn't care about yonghuang then she should have let Ruyi raise him again. Chun was selfish, dumb, and deliberately harmed a child. She wasn't smart enough to be an empress. She got the wake up call she deserved.

So...did the Empress ACTUALLY kill Zhemin, or-?
From my understanding it was Gao Gui Fei, The empress didnt really have a hand in killing the emperer's children but never really looked into it. Gao Gui Fei was getting angry and jealous because she wasn't getting pregnant and started to poison the other concubines when they did. Technically because the empress prevented GAO from getting pregnant it was her fault.
@@sallyfrederick8857 Uh...but the Empress couldn't have predicted that Gao would channel her infertility frustrations into MURDER. So if Gao chose to kill Zhemin independent of the empress, then it's Gao's fault. That being said, nonconsensual sterilization is a vile act and the Empress is an evil person for that.

Nope, I think it was neither Gao guifei nor Empress. Cuz when Gao first heard of possibility of harming Mei’s child, she was unsure and kinda afraid indicating it was her first time doing something like that also one time she was crying and talking to her maid how she changed so much after living in Forbidden city(meaning she was not that fatal in the Old manor), about Empress there was several instances that she talks about doing nothing to Zhe but why rumors are saying so while talking to Su lian, in conclusion it was either Zhe was truly unfortunate or it was Empress’ mother that did the deed with help of Su lian, most of the time ones doing calculations from Empress’ side were them while hiding all of that evil deed from Empress , for example: neglecting First prince eventho Empress clearly instructed her to double the servants and overall take care of him better, sending poisonous incense to Gao to make more crazy and weak. Most of the time, Su lian harmed Empress more than others with her idiocy even though she wanted to protect her
Jia did not lie this time about the murder of Imperial Noble Consort Zhemin, Jia confessed to Zhenshu that she had to take constraption to prevent pregnancy or else she will be the next death concubine at the old manor, she already being cautious towards Empress, not to incur her wraths😶
I mean, who else going to get benefits from her death other than Empress? She is the only one at the Old Manor who can threaten her position due to Yonghuang is the first born (Both of Zhemin and Xiaoxian are from Fuca clan, I dont think Hui, Ruyi and other concubines can do funny things towards Zhemin since she is also from same clan as Empress)
