We will be married for almost 3 years now and together almost 8 years. We started dating my senior year of high school. My husband is 2 years older. After we were together for a year we moved a few hours away to a small town and got our first place together. 2 years after that (3 years later) we got engaged. 2 years after that (5 years together) we built our house and had a beautiful beach wedding with just family and close friends. 1 year later (2 days before our first anniversary) we welcomed our little boy into the world. My husband and I had our wedding song picked out (he chose it I wasn’t a huge fan of it) then my mom played me this song and I had him listen to it and he was like “yup that’s our song”

Hubs and I will be married 5 years in December of this year. We're expecting our first baby, a little girl, in 4 weeks. We met and started dating 6 years ago. We were friends first, and took our relationship slow. I mean, didn't kiss until we had been dating for 4 months, most of our dating relationship was spent talking about our core values, faith, and kids. Kids should be one of the first things new couples should talk about, in my opinion. I can't tell you how many women I have seen online complaining about their SO not wanting kids when they want kids. We hardly argue anymore, used to argue a LOT when we first married, as normal couples do when they are getting used to each other. But when we do argue nowadays, you can guarentee it's usually over something stupid. (Ex. Grocery shopping. We really should just never shop for groceries together. We always end up in a tift.) We come together really well over the important issues (ex. Budgeting, pets, how we want to raise our kids, etc.). We really did build our relationship from the ground up, and I wish this song was out when I was picking our wedding dance song. Oh well, can't go wrong with Elvis lol
