Loved that ladies encouragement at the end! A quality review of the race there mate... love your honesty that’s why I love your channel! So what I can get from this is it’s flat and fast but the aid stations giving out plastic cups is not ideal and I agree, fizzy drinks are not what you need! Looked well organised though! Great time on no specific marathon training!! Well done
Well done Rich! Very brave to just turn up and run with very respectable time. Well done on getting bottle in bin on the move....harlem globetrotters next?
Running Guru thanks mate I can always ‘get round’ off no specific training but need to knuckle down soon & gun for a time. Haha the bottle trick is becoming a thing now Not long until NYC for you now is it, excited?
Well I faced the same toughness in a half yesterday in Northumberland countryside aimed for sub 3 was on target for a pb of sub 2:54 but wheels came off then kept on having to work out saying what I had left to do in what time to get sub 3 I made it by a couple of minutes
Apparently the race director just ordered 'Lucozade', and didn't even know that there was a fizzy variant. He does now. You were looking good both times you went past the four of us at marshal point 61; well done.
Roger Thetford hi Roger. Wow that’s crazy someone organising a race wouldn’t know that 😂 hopefully it’s been a learning curve & that won’t happen again next year. This is basically why I highlight race issues in videos, it means improvements can be made. Thanks for saying so I probably didn’t feel so good lol How was the day as a volunteer, did you all have fun too?

Helen Campbell no problem, glad to be of help, hope you had a good race mate
