I am Ukrainian. The previous entry from the Netherlands, De Diepte, helped me to get through the hardest times of my life. I remember listening to S10's song at 5 a.m. in a bombshelter during an air attack on my city, thinking about whether I would survive or not.
Almost a year has passed since that day, and now I'm listening to another beautiful entry from the Netherlands

I believe its because they didn't perform the same original arranged harmonies, didn't really have the same magic to it. Their individual vocals I think were great, but together it was a bit clashy without them harmonising...

The staging concept is so 2015!!
the Netherlands makes music not for popularity or for the right aim of eurovision. They make beautiful music that can actually takes place in pop culture very easily. I am not saying that eurovision does not have taste, but this kind of songs exist outside eurovision whereas many eurovision songs that had good results stayed in eurovision lane and faded through time 🤷🏻 This is not going to win as we all know, but congrats to the Netherlands for serving quality as usual 👏🏼

It would be PERFECT STAGING if they had two different rooms and we're singing apart from each other. When the other one is singing the other room is dark and the light turns on when the person is singing. Towards the end, they meet and go out from their "rooms" and sing together.

This was by far the best song Eurovision 2023 has seen! I can't believe they didn't go through to the finals... But guess what, this is the kind of song that gets stuck in a person's head. Not only that, they both have beautiful powerful voices and they harmonize perfectly. The song is not vulgar, it has meaningful lyrics and it's touching how they were there just for each other, like no one else existed in the world.

The Netherlands have become kind of an ESC psychologist in recent years.😁 But not in a bad sense - the songs the country enters with make us think, feel and consider.
They are just about... life. They remind us that people around us feel the same things as we do, and we are not alone.
