Happy Chanukah!!!!! Love you fellow Jews in here who spell it the traditional way the favourite way of mine 'Chanukah' with the 'C'...yup....it is so pretty and unique like 'us' that way. Amen to all, and especially first candle lit for a little guy I know, please could you all send some prayers for my friend''s son......seven years old fighting for his little life...and also one more prayer for Israel. Am Yisrael Chai~~~~!!!!!!!
@jrichman2003 Right on! I made aliyah in July, and I like having "our" holidays be the national holidays finally! A friend also gave me my first dreidel with a "pay" instead of a "shin"--made me cry!
Happy Chanukah and Happy still to come...Happy Christmas to All my friends who celebrate Eastern Orthodox Christmas, January 7, 2019! Merry Happy Holidays...and may be it so that, i wonder...God Does Bless Us Every One!
OMG, this is absolutely fantastic. I am beyond happy to see a vid like this! Wow, it's completely true. It's like what I frequently say put into a song. Love that "fight for Chanukah rights, "Fight for Holiday Equality." Excellent. Am so going to show this to my family.
I LoVe YoU Guys💖 Toda rabbah for another 🎶Fantastic Song💙 However, this ONE is Brilliant, Truth Needed, while Funny... a Real Winner!!!💙🙏 Chag Chanukah Sameach 🕎😀
Holiday equality may not seem like a big deal in the grander scheme of things, but it is true that our Christocentric society can often get annoying. Also, this is really beautiful music that just feels so good to listen to. After watching this video I scrolled through the comments for a little while and found some really nice comments (thanks for that, commenters), and then went straight to Amazon Music to buy the song. Thank you, Six13, for making such beautiful music. Edit: Just for the record, no, we do not need a Justin Bieber song about Chanukah. It could never measure up to a song like this one. Oh, wait a minute, that line was supposed to be funny. Well, in that case good job.
It is more a pagancentric society! Christmas (Roman and Nordic gods) is as much about Jesus as Easter (Ostera, a German goddess) is about Him. Both have pagan origins which is why I stopped celebrating both and embraced the Biblical holidays plus Hanukkah. The Catholic Church could get people to stop celebrating them so they incorporated them into Christian traditions. Why else would Atheists celebrate a supposed Christian holiday with decorations and all? All other biblical holidays such as Shavuot/Pentacost for example does not get the same dedication. That is because the pagan origins are not there.
I have always thought the holidays for all of the various religions should be respected. Either all of them, or none at all. Sadly, I think our country (the US) has seemingly chosen the latter. I know very few Christians that even get theirs off anymore, maybe that's some minor consolation to you. Keep up the good work, fellas. You are inspiring.
Love it. But 2:39 one guy literally gets out his phone and starts scrolling. 2:34 Just the seriousness on this guys face! Best part is the hip hop section and the picture of Drake! So funny.
Celebrate and enjoy the Festival of Lights and give glory to God for the miracle of one day's worth of oil lasting for eight days. God is good and has always loved the Jews. We Christians celebrate Christmas not simply as a holiday but as the single most important day of all, when God sent his son Jesus Christ, a good Jewish boy, who was born, atoned for our sins by the shedding of His blood, died, and resurrected bodily (Easter or Resurrection Day) so all men could make their peace with God through Him. As a Christian I celebrate Hanukkah too as my lord Jesus most likely did. Happy Chanukah!!
🥰, this song. However, there are just a couple of things wrong with it. First, Chanukkah is not always "late" Dec. This year it is EARLY Dec. Lyrics should be "every year "around" Dec". Other problem is when he says, "should that change, probabally". Lyric should be "absolutely!

ok so i saw Elton John, Bob Dylan, and was it Eminem? who were all the others? there was one with the long black hair that i feel stupid for not recognizing.

Sorry guys, you totally dropped the candle on this one. "Fight for Chanukah rights"? SRSLY? Then move to Israel where instead of Santa on Coke bottles wishing us happy holidays we have shofars in September wishing us shana tovah and flowers in spring wishing us Pesach Same'ach. Oh, and the tracking is off.
"Do you know there are some a cappella fans who have no sense of humor?" "No. Could you hum a few bars?" This is comedy. Chanukah is STILL a minor holiday.
Assuming the video is not "tongue-in-cheek," it's offensive. You live in the USA, which is at least nominally a X-tian country. Perhaps they should adopt Muslim, Buddhist and Hindu holidays also? You want "holiday rights," then come HOME, to Eretz haKodesh. Don't dally because it's not Santa who is on his way ...
This was obviously tongue-in-cheek. Btw, the US is not a "Christian" country. It may have been initially settled by Puritans and had its Constitution written by mostly Christians, but part of our government rights involve "freedom of religion," which means all US citizens are supposed to be able to practice their religions without discrimination. I was born Jewish in the US, and the US, for better or worse, is my home. Also, many workplaces *do* celebrate other non-Xian holidays. The last few employers I've had all celebrated Diwali (a popular Indian holiday) and the Chinese/Lunar New Year (acknowledging both Chinese and Vietnamese customs), and Cinco de Mayo (which isn't even all that big in Mexico) is a big deal in California.
@@lynngold3108 Channukah should have been much bigger here in the US. That first big fight for religious freedom--a perfect example of our First Amendment, and the duty to fight for it. We could use that courage right now in the US, with Churches closed and bars open, with no one complaining. The only real resistance and courage is being shown by Orthodox Jews in New York. Gee--wonder where they learned that? If we had had learned that courage over the years, the rest of us would be fighting along side them.
Happy Chanukah!!!!! Love you fellow Jews in here who spell it the traditional way the favourite way of mine 'Chanukah' with the 'C'...yup....it is so pretty and unique like 'us' that way. ok so i saw Elton John, Bob Dylan, and was it Eminem? who were all the others? there was one with the long black hair that i feel stupid for not recognizing.
There were two with long black hair: John Lennon and Bob Marley. And you're not stupid.
The two with long hair were Lil John (autotuned) and Ozzy Osbourne (dreamer)
Sorry, Lil Jon. Could also be T pain
