@@fromjolien If you grow the oversized crops into the largest size, harvest them, and place them in the world, you can click on them to make them decorative. Most are just a decorative object but the mushroom turns into a mushroom stool (like the one you can buy, but it looks like the brown mushrooms you grow instead of a fly agaric).

I think since there’s so much unaccounted space upstairs outside the bedroom, it could be turned into a more cozy and roomy lounge area to relax since downstairs feels cramped. I’d imagine it’s her place to get away from the world, especially with it so high up in the trees. That way, downstairs can be a kitchen and pass through area, like a table, study space, etc. Whereas upstairs is where you go to relax :’) 🌱

You can still use the Birds tree stump from Cottage living. Since the birds aren't as "physical" as the rabbits, goats, sheeps and chicken, they aren't as susceptible to breaking
But since we dont own the rabbits, how are they susceptible to breaking?👀❤
It depends on where the bug comes from. You do have a relationship with the birds though it's not as in depth as bunnies
There is one in the section of Henford that they are living. He just has to friend them and they will come help. He doesn't have to get it on his lot.

Maybe put a living room/office/social space upstairs? Big open doors and the views would be awesome! Then in the pokey downstairs just a table to eat at, bit more counter space? It's a bit cramped for how much space you have upstairs? Loving the series!! 🫶🏻
This is exactly what I was thinking. Make the downstairs a kitchen and dining space with the extra bedroom upstairs living/office/social space.

Yes! I really want a dark academia style library with bookshelves everywhere, Crystal Creations stuff to cut gems (would fit a fairycore aesthetic) and, of course, lots of plants!
100% What I was thinking as well, I think it would make more sense to have the living room upstairs/ spare bedroom maybe if he wanted to split it. Then add a small dining area downstairs - expand the kitchen a little etc. 😊

I think it might be an idea to move the desk and living room upstairs and have a small dining table and "mudroom" entry way for putting down garden tools and taking off muddy boots. Her house is so pretty, she'd want to keep it clean.

I love the build! Silly idea, instead of a big square greenhouse, a couple of octagonal greenhouses scattered over the lot (in the form of the original house, with the cute roof vibe) with less windows and painted to vaguely resemble mushrooms.

The crystal trees don't need to go in the greenhouse (unless you want to keep other sims from getting to them), they will grow in all seasons.
Oh, and for some odd reason, lemon trees also grow in all seasons.

This is definitely a "Fairycore Treehouse"! It looks cozy and fits the "cute" designation that she is supposed to have.
I think she should get a money tree. It’s technically gardening and she can supply extra money to the rest of tiny town
Scarlett should definitely wear some of the Cottage Living rain boots and gardening outfit, gardening gloves, gardening hat, etc.!! Cottage Living CAS so lines up with her fairycore cuteness!

If you change some of the over sized mushrooms into seats they will look lovely on your treehouse
i love the treehouse idea for scarlett! maybe a long, narrow greenhouse on the left of the house could work as the big square is quite a contrast to the softness and rounder edges of the treehouse. and then the big crops could be along the right, maybe even in an L shape to fit them all
growing grapes in a circle around the hut makes sense because in real life grapes are a vine which climbs. We have grapes along one of the fences in our garden. Maybe you could put some climbing plants or some of the decorative grape vines from Horse Ranch around the side of the building so it looks like the grapes are climbing the walls
I love this idea and am totally stealing it! My rl grapes are the fence but climbing the house will be so cute!
He sort of did that in the horse ranch let's play. As long as the decorative plants aren't too close to the functional ones it should work pretty nicely

Honestly? I actually think Scarlett's house is so far my most favourite one!!! I would love it if you added some of the Realm of Magic windows with like decorated stained glass, with foxes and stuff ^^ I feel like that would fit the vibe!
I think a workaround for animals that help with gardening in the rentals would be to use bees and birds, maybe rabbits. Basically animals that are attached to objects and not you household
I literally just sat down with my matcha tea and a book, and I actually said the words " how can it get better than this?" And I get the notification of a JT Tiny Town episode. Going to enjoy some peace and quite before the rest of the family come barging in! Let's go!

I'm literally watching the cottage living LP right now and was screaming at the screen that he needs more sprinklers 😂
Three suggestions:
1) befriend the birds and rabbits to take care of weeding and bugs. Also, their homes you unlock will go perfectly with the style of build.
2) Remove the knome event from all future harvest fests so they don't move around.
3) Use vertical planters to decrease the greenhouse size.

Your videos are like a virtual soap opera I can binge-watch without judgment. Who needs TV dramas when you've got James ?
I always get a cowplant berry at the spice and possibly romance festival. Additionally, the finchwick fair has 3 special items for sale every week, but the booths rotate. If you can get the golden milk and drink it you can use golden pulse to 'Perfect' your plants. A golden egg can also be used to make food which will give you the golden pulse power after you eat it.
I think you can splice the cow plant…it’s like dragon fruit plus a flower….i learned it by researching
I came here to say this as well. I usually get my cow berries at the plants behind the curry challenge table at the Spice Festival, but instead of just harvesting it, I also take a splice so I can graft it in my lot. I also just discovered I can get a splice from someone else's money tree and graft it in my plantain tree (or any other tree), and it gives money "fruit" that I can keep in my inventory or sell.

James, you can only sell up to 99 of one type of crop to the stand, so you had more left at 1:18:30 because you'd been carrying more than 100.

you could move the desk from the living space to that empty room and make that Scarlett's study. I'd imagine it full of indoor plants, flowers, cozy seating, and bookcases. also: I'm so glad you got a bee box!
I love this suggestion. The room nearest her bedroom could be a study/ sunroom / screen porch style. Lots of plants and maybe the potting table and flower arrangement table. Somewhere she can think about and plan her gardens.

I actually think it's pretty fitting that Silas is last to go, his favorite style is boho, feels like of them all he'd be the one okay with living in a tent 🤣 But oh man is it sad to see you struggle to make your game work more and more with every LP. At this point Sims 4 has such spaghetti code I don't think EA could ever fully fix it if they hired 1000 testers and modders.

I think you should consider moving the bookshelf and typewriter up to the spare space upstairs. Either that or making the space upstairs the full living room, so you have room for a lot of seating, the TV and the fire place.
It might be a good idea to add a decoration box to the Town Hall so whoever you’re playing as can always take down the random decorations.

Realm of magic debug has different colored orbs of light that you can raise up around the tree house! It might look pretty cute with the floating lights around and it kind of reminds me of sims 3 fairies when they shrink and just fly around as little balls of light.

Carl's "fertilize and evolve all" is a game changer.
Also, I'm glad you didn't add the roof yet or make a greenhouse at the beginning of this episode. Whenever I add a greenhouse or roof to my gameplay, the plants start to glitche more 🤔
for someone that lives underground, Pablo really seems to like the outdoor activities. he's the sibling that comes over the most just to take care of the plants. and him being on the swings in the end screen was so funny.
Suggestion from mid episode, you could keep only one patch of each crop in the spirit of having a community garden, and one each of the onion, carrot, herb plants etc. for the story of having some food that the community can help themselves to. Having 20 patches reads more Farming than Gardening (in my humble opinion :)). And the greenhouse could be for ornamental plants and your money makers ie dragonfruit.
This series makes me realize how much i miss open world :') also how I wish the rentals worked liked the sims 2 appartments...
I really like the treehouse build, it looks great. I might suggest moving some of the "living room" upstairs to the larger empty room, or maybe even all of it. Though I really like the cozy feel of the fireplace and two chairs, where they are now.
Can you imagine making 40k from growing crops in your yard? Gotta love the Sims and their upgrades

Here’s an oversized crop hack: Do TONS of canning from your oversized crops. It makes a lot, and then you can mark them up on the selling table and make a lot more money. I haven’t tried it with pies - you could test out selling pumpkin pies on the Home Chef Hustle table, potentially.

I wish you could go on tour as a musician in the sims or do paid gigs at a bar/club. That would be a way better expansion pack than Lovestruck.

If I remember from a previous JT Let's Play, you have to put the sprinkler in the cross-section of 4 plots. The most you can water is 4 at a time. Putting it between 6 plots means that only the two bracing the sprinkler will get watered.
Silas is always sad because at this point it's been years in-game and he's sees all his siblings being successful and have homes and he's still in a tent
I hope Silas is the last one to have his first episode as when everyone else has has 2 episodes he'll be the only one on the roller decks and it would be funny to spin it.
I forget how much Carl's mods impact my gameplay experience until they're gone. I cannot garden without him.
While my whole country was watching the European Championship of soccer, The Netherlands versus Turkey, i was instead installing myself in my gaming chair with a bowl of popcorn to watch the newest James Turner Sims 4 movie. I am glad i made that choice.

I think you should utilize the space upstairs with kind of a garden daddy living space - as you said how you have the sitting area will likely catch fire and as her skill is hardening it would make sense to have one of those living room filled with house plants upon houseplants.
I love that the reward trait prevents Scarlett from getting on fire and in her first episode she caught on fire. It is like she overcomes that fear to prevent it from happening again.
If you befriend the wild birds in henford, you unlock their tree house. You can then place it on Scarlet's lot. When the relationship is high enough, you can ask them to help with the garden. They'll eat the bugs. Much less spraying to do, no need to hire a gardener. 😊
I think it'd be cool to try and make the kitchen more of a wrap-around that takes up more of the downstairs. A small little round dining table could look cute where the mini living room is. Since there is so much space upstairs, that could be turned into a cozy living/office space. It is kind of an odd space to work with, but I love it! It feels very whimsical!

If you add "be friendly to group members" onto club activities they should talk to each other more also you could move the living room upstairs and have more space for dining/office area downstairs. Loving the longer episodes!😁

James has been building so much incredible stuff lately, from the supernatural series to Tiny Town, but I think this fairy treehouse is the best build yet!! I'm so excited to see the final version

I know Silas hasn’t came up yet but it would be so cool if his house ended up being a bus that was converted into a home and it was all boho inside like those “van lifers” and just looked like he parked his bus there.
