I was asked to make a medley of 5 particular Linkin Park songs, it was very challenging to make them into a story. Maybe you can hear what I did to do that, and I hope it worked out and you can hear them as one piece. Shadow Of The Day, What I've Done, Numb, One More Light, Leave Out All The Rest.

Feels like shadow of the day is telling the story from the beginning the depression and the actions taken because of the depression. When What I've Done comes in, it's feels like redemption or the will to improve. Numb is the action of improving and remembering where that depression kept and to never go back... one more light... obviously I think it's death... death of who? Doesn't matter... leave out all the rest always remember and cherish life and what it means... learn from the mistakes of others and be happy... leave out all the rest. All of linkin parks songs have their meaning I know what they mean to me. I'll never forget that who I am today is because of them.

Lost my cousin this past December, then grandma in January, my dad in March, and my uncle last night. This medley totally puts my feelings into music and the songs into words. Thank you Vika and Chester. I hope you are finally in a state of peace, just like I hope for my dead family members.

I love it how she's gets like lost in the music , it's like she goes to another place I love it
What I appreciate about your artistry is two things: 1) you get to the heart or kernel of the music while dispensing with all the trappings of the standard rock band (which I appreciate because the piano is more intimate, has more depth of feeling than drums, guitar, etc); and 2) you bring a hard intensity to the parts that need it and softness and feeling to the parts that need it. In other words, your interpretation is complex and deep, which makes the interpretation your own.
Taking absolutely nothing away from Vika and the piano, but a guitar in the hands of masters like David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Peter Green, Mark Knofler can emote as well if not more :)

I originally became a Linkin' Park fan when our son was young. He actually got us into it and we never looked back. Such beautiful and brilliant music and perhaps even underrated. Vika brings all the beautiful soul alive with her mind and fingertips, which also shows the beautiful chord structure and complexity woven into their songs....she picks right up on it!! What a fabulous interpretation and flawless blending of these fantastic songs!! My heart just sank when we heard the news about Chester and what more he could have become musically as he matured further. What a terrible shame that this talent is forever silenced. BRAVO again Vika for your mastery and beautiful show of emotion on those keys :-) Always such a pleasure. RIP dear Chester. ~Jackie

Ever since I heard Chester had died, I've listened more and more to him and the rest of the band, but a lot has been interviews. Linkin Park was an intrinsic part of my culture when I grew up, but I was never a "fan". But especially after having listened to your medley, now I now I have to listen to their whole catalog. These are all so iconic melodies and songs, even the ones I don't know from before. Thank you.
It is absolutely beautiful to see someone who is in love with playing piano. You can see it in her reaction to what she's doing and how she moves while playing. it's like the music is physically moving her not just mentally. Absolutely stunning.

That doesn't mean you're not strong.. every sort of grief is different,i cry sometimes,too. But that just shows that we care about him,that our hearts feel,right? To know LP is the best thing in my life,even when it brought some kind of sadness into it. But for nothing in the universe i would change that.

My one of my favorite is leave out all the rest. Whenever that song came out.. It just.. Had this grip in me that aches sometimes.. Whenever it is. Really even when I'm happy, as it started, the grip holds me to the point I could cry. It is such a powerful song in terms of composition, and vocal..
