Plumb bob line is the direction of the lines of force of earth's gravity field. In plane surveying, it is defined by the direction of a freely suspended plumb-bob. At two different places plumb bob lines are cut at the center of earth
In plane survey they are parallel but in geodetic survey they cut at the centre of earth , as we do not consider earth surface to be curved in plane survey, so the plumb bob lines will always be parallel in plane survey
