I did a black wash on mine to bring out the detail and I absolutely love him! I think I like him more than the 1000Toys Chief.
Also, the pistol can peg into Chief's leg! The plates with the slot in them can be pulled out and flipped around to reveal a storage peg.

OMG! I can't believe I missed that! I was even pointing out how it looked like a glued on separate piece. 😂. Thanks for the heads up! I now have one less improvement to ask from them. lol.
He is listed at 6.5 inch scale and that is correct. Gotta remember that spartans were way taller than humans. If we get any marines or odst they will be smaller and all scale appropriately

You know..there may not be as much paint as we'd all like, the AR is a little small, and there a couple other small issues; but this really is a solid figure. I really like the way he looks, even if he doesn't look quite as good as the prototype. I remember when it was revealed that WCT would be taking on the Halo action figure line, and I really didn't know what to think. I'd seen the Fortnite figures, but wasn't a huge fan of the game, so I couldn't really make much from them. That being said, when these figures were shown at Toyfair, I couldn't have been more excited. While not quite as detailed as the McFarlane figures, and not quite scaled down to your usual Marvel Legends figures--but that doesn't mean they're bad for their scale.
Overall, these figures seem promising, and do remember; this is just the first batch of these guys. A "test run", if you will. WCT seems to care about Halo fans, and that's pretty respectable.
I just can't wait to see them tackle the really big dudes like Jorge, Brutes, and especially Hunters!
I really hope these hit online soon and are easy to come by.

That extra black paint on the front of the helmet seems to be on every figure, I think it may be vaguely in the game?
If you take a plasma blast to the face in game, then of course it will be. 😂 And if you play on Series X with Ray Tracing, it will look beautiful. 🤣
Would the joyride weapons scale better with this chief because I do think that assault rifle is too small. It's a shame they skimped on paint for the weapons as well. I guess the budget all went to the chrome visor.

I think Jazwares will make a Covenant Collection, in the same scale as the Spartan Collection

Chief looks like a Alien with dooms helmet on.
Bro the side pieces on the thigh pop off and u flip them to expose a pin for the side arm.
The little panels on his hips pop off and you can flip them and put them back in and it will reveal a peg that you can attach to the pistol to holster it

What's weird is that on your Master Chief the explosion on his chest where the numbers are is black and mine has black all over, and barely any silver and it's positioned differently, when I got it on my bday I thought someone drew on it
Is there different variants of this figure out? I got one loved it but seen gamestop had one without the battle dammage and looked like a darker green. So i ordered it but think i just ordered the same figure again

You can take the side pieces off, flip them, put them back and then that’s where you can put the pistol
(Side piece as in the thing you wanted the pistol to be attached to)

Hi did you know at walmart you can almost all of the $20 ones and $10 ones I have kat and cheif but I just need the red and white $20 ones
I remember getting this and the one I got from Walmart was poorly made the arm fell off immediately and the left shoulder piece 😢
There are two pull out pieces of plastic on the thighs and when you pull them out flip them upside down and there is a peg for the pistol.

The panels popping out of the side leg are pop out pegs do you can flip it around and pop it back into the leg to holster the sidekick pistol.

Yeah love your halo figures I like mine too cause I have 2 grunts and 1 marine and 2 elite warlods and 3 master Chiefs but 1 I got with the warhog and the other one I bought and the 3rd one is the one that you have the $20 chief

The back Page comes out and can flip and the pieces on the thighs come out and can flip around with a page on the inside for the pistol
REALLY GREAT REVIE 👍, 7¼inch Great size, I hope to see from this line how big are the WARTHOG, MONGOOSE. ELITES. BRUTES JAKALS, GRUNT HUNTERS etc.
I doubt they'd make a Warthog in this scale. It would be too big and expensive. lol (for them at least, I'd buy it 😎) But ditto to the Covenant. If they make Hunters to scale......Imma be in heaven. 😂
@@FaceSmackerStudios Ptobably you are right. MC Farlane make the Halo Reach Warrhog and looks GREAT I have one in box but the halo reach figures don,'t fix, a Halo INFINITE Warthog to this line a instant sold I think.
The figure did disappoint. The left arm easily pops off, same with the left leg too, AND right after I watched the shoulder pad bit, THE THING SNAPPED OFF AFTER I MOVED IT JUST A SMIDGE!!!!!!

The thigh piece is reversable with a peg for the pistol. I found out after I made the vid.
So does only target sell this figure or GameStop also???
On the thighs were you see what should be holsters they pop off and flip around we're there's a peg you can put your pistol on.
At least you were lucky enough to not have one that had silver globes all over him
I've seen a lot of Amazon reviews about the figure breaking out of the box and having joint issues. Should I be concerned about this?
At this point, this figure line has been out for a little over a year now. I'm pretty sure they've fixed any quality control issues they may have had.

That sculpt is awesome but I can't help but think that it looks a tad plastic-y. If these had paint more akin to the old Mcfarlan figures I'd buy em all in a heartbeat.
The body paint money went to the shiny visor. Its a give and take because they have a cost budget to keep him in. 🤷♂️

The problem with waiting is that others probably think and will do like you. But if this initial launch doesn't sell well enough....there won't be a Version 2. (Look what happened to the Mattel Halo line.) So it's a double edged sword, don't buy it and risk never seeing a Version 2 because of low sales, or buy it and live with the issues you don't like. But honestly, he's not a bad figure overall. If anything, buy one and complain like crazy to Jawares to improve this line, and show them your receipt too. 😅

The paint is soooo lacking in fact this figures looks like a toy rather than a collectible there’s some wash but is not sufficient at least for me especially compared to that fantastic prototype.
The articulations are mostly good but the split and torso are not designed properly and the hand hinges for holding the weapons are wrong should have been lateral.
The sculpt on this is good except the leads that should be just a little bit thicker, unpainted pins and flat knees
And yes you’re right the AR is too small
6.5/10 this line deserved better actually the fortnite figures have more paint than chief I’m infinitely disappointed personally
Couldn't agree with you more man, McFarlane really spoiled and catered to adult collectors. Now Halo's figures have all been marketed to children... But hey if you're looking for a higher end Master Chief, check out the new 1000Toys Master Chief, that released not too long ago, fantastic piece, incredible paint and sculpt.
White Knight Pictures the 1000 toys master chief is not meant to be accurate in terms of paint and sculpt I really don’t like it either and i bought McFarlane figures when I was a kid I still have them here I don’t see the problems In making this more like a collectible (as the proto) rather than a toy.
kids do enjoy better figures too is a matter of fact.
Really nitpicking, here, pal. It's not McFarlane, but it's also MASSIVELY better than anything Mattel put out.

Sort of like the new McFarlane figures, as well. $20 price range seems a bit steep, I admit, but these aren't bad for they are. I would at least say give them a chance, you know?

If you're an out of box collector, not to big a deal unless the figure is also broken...
I like this figure but I don't like how the guns are made of a really bendable plastic. I'd prefer if it was hard plastic but then they might snap easily so that would also be bad.
It's soft so they can have it rated for younger ages to play with, which increases their sales. Other wise the hard plastic would be a choking hazard for children.....who like to eat halo weapons...🤷♂️🤦♂️
@@FaceSmackerStudios yeah, it makes sense it would just be nice to at least have an option for hard plastic accessories. I might look at third party places to see if anyone does make them to scale for these figures.

I'd suggest waiting a bit. Target has a 90 day return policy. You may end up wanting him back, and all stock may be wiped out and who knows when restocks will happen. 🤷♂️
@@FaceSmackerStudios I removed the ab piece and replaced it with a round rubber tube then put a dab of super glue on the chest ball joint to tighten it up a bit. Now he has the best chest articulation ever.
