10 hours into Animal Well and Jesse goes and says he finished it in 6. Man, I must be slow. I already have 2 of the flames and I only just went back to the puzzle opening the gate to the bubble area because there was so much else to look at before coming back for a second look at it. I love this game. There's just so much of it. Tools, secrets, places to go.
@@speakwithanimalsyeah we went to D Pad! They had a great selection and decent prices. We were in that area for the Buccees which I loved! Also ate at Via 313 Pizza along the highway which was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.
What do you think about adding a spoiler section to the podcast, similar to what the Outer Wilds doc had? Often, there are games you cover vaguely to avoid spoilers, but it would be fascinating to hear a more in-depth discussion for those who have completed the game or played it extensively.
Animal Well is beautiful but just a bit too fiddly and annoyingly difficult for my liking. After beating the first boss with 30ish eggs and running into a game ending bug, I basically had enough. After checking the rabbit hole on youtube, I can safely say that I made the right decision. Minishoot adventure on the other hand was balanced and tuned just right, as well as being polished to perfection. I'd recommend that over Animal Well if you want to have actual fun playing a metroidvania type game.
Yeah I really think its a game I respect a lot more than I really enjoy playing. To me its some of the checkpointing thats the real killer. If I could just retry some of challenges from the room entrance it may have alleviated a lot of it.
I like Noclip, but it doesn’t surprise me some Californians being surprised/off-put by butchering. Some say if you’re not willing to butcher meat you’d eat, ya shouldn’t be eating it.
It ain't a California thing, bud- I'm from the rural northeast and have cleaned/processed pheasant before, had friends who hunted growing up, etc. I just grew to find the process less appealing as an adult, hence why I don't eat meat.
Nothing to do with California. There are people in every state that would feel the same. There is tons of agriculture in California and obviously a lot of butchering is involved with meat production.

Animal Well isn't as unique as you think, the puzzle metroidvania gameplay is very similar to Toki Tori 2+, well worth a look

You could say a good 80% of people would be disgusted/offput by butchering. Unrelated to california, how was that even connected?
