Oh my gosh, I haven't seen anyone do that funny finger trick since my dad used to pull that on me! I laughed so hard! He was quick, and I could never see how he did it until I was a young teen. Lola is so cute. I laughed and loved her immediate interaction with the other two dogs. After the first bark, they became instant friends. This is my Christmas card 2 u & urs, obviously it can't b a real 1, but I hope u like it just the same x A large deep green & blue envelope drops thru ur door, "that's strange", u think, "the postie's already been..?" U bend down 2 pick it up & it's icy cold.. Sitting at the kitchen table, u open it. ITS BEAUTIFUL. With snow-capped mountains, a dense forest of white trees, & the inky blue sky with bright silver moonlight, it looks uncannily real.. "Rossi," u call out, "look at this!.." Rossi comes rushing downstairs curious 2 c what u have, & as u both look deeper & deeper in2 the picture ur sure u c movement.. As ur eyes widen, u realise its a person-& she's waving at u 2 come.. U reach out & touch the figure in disbelief-THEN SUDDENLY she grips ur hand-u dart a look back at Rossi & grab his, AND SUDDENLY ur feet sink in2 deep snow... Ur both in shock-a wondrous shock-then suddenly ur hit on the nose with a snowball! Forgetting any trepidation u may have felt, u instinctively throw 1 back at her. Laughing & squealing, u chase eachother around, pelting eachother with the snowballs, & falling on ur faces in the snow... Eventually, exhausted, u all flop in a heap in the snow, then as the snow starts 2 fall a bit heavier, u notice a glimmer of light.. U walk slowly & tiredly towards it, only 2 find that its a cabin! U gingerly knock on the door, there's no answer..but it opens... Inside there r 3 deep, fur covered armchairs, facing a very-welcoming crackling fire. U all look at eachother & without any words, allow yourselves 2 sink in2 the armchairs... The only sound outside is the soft fall of new snow, & inside, just the sound of the crackling fire, & contented sighs.... When u wake, u find yourself lying by the fire in ur living room, warm & snug, in the arms of a sleeping Rossi... Merry Christmas...from, u-no-hoo x
