2023 Series 1, it was almost impossible to pull 2 #'d cards in a box. This is the minimum of what flagship Hobby should be, especially since there isn't a guaranteed auto.
Excited to get my hands on some.
Love the trenchcoat hookups! This is what hobbies for series 1 should have been! Id argue the checklist for rookies in series 2 is better than series 1!
I’ve opened about 6 series 2 hangers and got a blue, purple, and another blue foilboards and a Mother’s Day pink /50, also two goods
Definitely gonna grab a hobby box. Probably rip a lot of retail too. Lots of good pulls in hobby, just about hoping to get the right match of player and parallel!

i definitely like having better odds. i felt like there wasnt much reason to rip s1 because it was nearly impossible to hit anything.
Opened two series one and had no where close to these hits. Did pull a heavy lumber Acuna Jr from a series one hobby but that was the best thing weve hit. Awesome video!
Excellent video may have to look into trying to land me at least one maybe two of these Hobby boxes but looking to land me a bunch of retail hanger and fat packs. Can't wait to see you rip a case of these hobby, hangers and fat packs. How trench coat guy got this so far in advance, to get this to you for a video 4 days before release is beyond me! that said, glad he did, cuz it's nice seeing some new rookies and inserts. for some reason, series 1 is only a few months old, but seems like its been out for years. great as always stryker!

I did pretty well in my series 1 boxes. Series 2 hobby looks just as good if not better indeed. Looking forward to ripping some as well. Will be able to get more since I don't have to buy jumbos this time!!
Hobby is worth buying again...but the big auto numbered parallels seem to be hiding in the jumbo boxes per the odds. Great content and thanks for sharing the rip.
Not bad. As much as I'd like to rip, I think I'll just wait for the walmart sets and get myself a gold stars set. Chrome looks like its going to be a very loaded release with all these rookies if they hold up.

I'm feeling slightly underwhelmed, but it does seem to be a step up from Series 1. It's nice that some of the retail won't be total junk this time.

As an informed Twins fan, I can tell you that Matt Wallner has potential to be a stud. He is younger version of Joey Gallo, but with a much higher batting average. The power is very comparable.

I understand the focus on gold (/2023) borders, it's instinctive and historical to prefer gold, but I'd rather have TWO green foil boards (/499) like you have here. Those are better "dart throws."

I bought 2 fat packs a few weeks ago at the local grocery store thinking I'm bored and here is 16$ wasted but pulled a Corbin Carroll holofoil from one pack and a purple Corbin /799 out of the other...thinking maybe I should start playing the lottery lol!
Tout of the 2 blaster boxes I opened for series 1 I got 1 parellel(Aaron judge /299) for series 2 I assume I’ll get like 2-5 parellels per 2 blasters, but fanatics isn’t helping any by making blasters worse than Fat Packs. FAT PACKS!
I want to ask as a rookie. What do you do with all the base cards? Sell them in a lot or donate, etc?

If I’m not mistaken those are only in retail boxes. Also, I’m pretty sure they’re still there in series two.

Not sure which big pitchers you're talking about but I did swoop up Andrew Abbott before his start against the Brewers and he was impressive.
@@StrykerBreaks you have Abbot, the #1 pitcher in the minors before being in the majors, Steele the kid from the cubs, Hunter Brown from the Astros, Taj Bradley of the Rays. (It says Taj hit 105 on the speedometer).

@@StrykerBreaks oh I guess I should add I wrote my own bot that takes into account a players projected stats using math that would make most people cry.
So far my numbers for players is near perfect, especially once I took into effect players on the DL.
So I have a whole months worth of code tracking every statistic for every player using every stat on the internet.
People use Sabermetrics. I laugh at Sabermetrics because I infused this bot with really high end advanced calc to find a baseline within a few hundred thousand baselines.
Even for rookies I use it by comparing their hitting to rookie pitchers that have similar stuff or similar hitters to mlb hitters a hundred thousand times to find a middle.
(I should also include the only people that have a computer as powerful as mine is DARPA. It’s entirely solid state and still had an internal nitric liquid cooling system that exists so I could write an OS that sends information from that computer to the computer on the other side of my room and therefor I don’t have to get up because my phone can access the smaller one in my room. So yes, I basically wrote windows so I can send info from my computer to another computer and to my phone, and that allows me to use my phone to view the computer OS and change the station on my TV)

Regarding the off-center black parallel, if time is not an issue, send it back to Topps for a replacement. "Miscut" is one of the reasons for a replacement on their website. On Panini's website, under damaged card replacement, "centering" is the option you'd click on. I've been opening up 2022 Optic and Mosaic football, and quality control is non-existent, thus I recently sent some cards back. I have one card ready to go back to Topps from a Bowman 2023 Megabox.
You can send cards back to Panini? Will they replace it or just give you points?
@@kangtheconqueror9545 With Panini, you have to provide the wrapper, along with a receipt print-out. With Topps, no wrapper required. Panini is currently covering 2022 and most of 2021, but you have to have patience. Here is Panini's exact wording:
"Cards are made available as they are received. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Panini America Inc. Will send a compatible card in its place if the specified card is not available to ship within 4 months or 8 months depending on what timeframe is selected during the reservation process."

Matt Wallner had reached 8 consecutive at bats before the twins sent him back down for Max Kepler who’s had like one hit since coming off the IL…and wallner is still crushing in the minors. Gosh I hate being a twins fan sometimes…who am I kidding, most of the time
I'll likely be only buying hangers or fat packs this time. I've seen hobby online at $110 per and to me thats too much. If they were $90 or so then yes I'd probably buy 2 or 3 to stash. Imo you shouid get one gold, auto, or low # card per hobby box. I'm sure not spending $250 for Jumbo to be guaranteed an auto. Thank you for sharing! You're the best Stryker
I have found my cinci reds peanut bags taste better, of course at the ball park helps. Here in lex,ky we have had NCAA and high school baseball all weekend through in girls NCAA softball weekend in heaven. 😊

Nice parallels but they're the players you don't want. You have to get a good player parallel for it to be worth something.

Why are gold parallels so hard to get if they made 2023 of each card? They were way easier to get in 2018 when there was 2018 of each player. That's 5 more cards of each player. It doesn't make sense Stryker.

Series 1 ,, glad I only bought 2 hobby boxes, it sucked.
Extremely small sample size but mehhh yes more color but names not that great and the black so far OC really no value there either. Makes my decision to just grab a complete set off ebay in about a month just that much more solid.
